Wait – so Todd McClay was lying about Green Party?

TDB POLITICAL HAIKU OF THE DAY:
Foreign plots proclaimed
No proof found, the claims retreat
Blame the press instead
Luxon is hopeless on the campaign trail.
His launch was as cold and dead as he is.
He couldn’t name the imaginary 9 news taxes and for some reason he frolicked down Todd McClay’s conspiracy rabbit hole which he of course had to walk back…
Christopher Luxon walks back ‘bizarre claim’ about the Greens
Christopher Luxon has walked back claims made by one of his ministers about the Greens, before then suggesting – wrongly – that they originated from the media.
Trade Minister Todd McClay, on Wednesday, accused the Green Party of “joining with foreign actors to attack New Zealand” in regards to a climate change complaint lodged with the European Commission.
The Greens quickly denied any involvement and McClay provided no evidence.
Asked for evidence on Friday, Luxon put the responsibility back on reporters to investigate whether the Green co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick had any involvement.
“That’d be up for you guys to accertain whether she has or hasn’t,” he said.
Luxon then suggested that the media had first raised the possibility of Swarbrick’s involvement.

…Luxon really does have all the charm of a road accident.
Imagine being an adult, getting challenged by overseas environmental observers for your inane watering down of environmental standards for your donor mates and then blaming that on the Greens?!?
You would think National might pause and think, ‘we have really allowed ourselves to be held hostage by Big Dairy and the Taxpayers’ Union haven’t we, maybe we really have gone too far’, instead of, ‘Let’s blame the Greens for international sabotage”
NZ faces the strongest El Niño in 1000 years and all National have as a solution is, “More Cows”.
If this doesn’t anger you, then you are the problem.

I hope that piccy portrays Luxon riding off into the sunset.
No, he’s going the wrong way. Still, that’s fairly typical! Going the wrong way!
He’d say NZders don’t care where the sun sets. What do bottom-feeders know about the sun?
He has nothing. He’s completely vacant and cannot think fast.
Also creepy. Who could get enthusiastic about someone like that, dead eyes and no warmth at all?
He doesn’t want to win the election because it would mean he’d have to stay here and I think he wants to get away and back to the hot-spots he’s used to, where he thinks he belongs.
I wish him luck!
Up until last week I thought Todd McLay might be one of the best of a bad bunch but no, he’s in there with them, isn’t he? No sense and no integrity.
This is definitely one of the most useless governments that we have had for a very long time.
Blokes like Luxon won’t care until their house is literally sliding into the ocean, after which they’ll be like “Why didn’t Labour do something about this climate change stuff?!”
