UK dumps Starmer Zionist Apologist stance and finally criticise Israel as Netenyahau faces questions over October 7th

Finally, Britain has found its conscience…
There is little doubt that today marks another significant shift in Britain’s posture in the Middle East, just as did the recognition of a Palestinian state did almost exactly one year ago.
It is both, senior figures argue, a logical extension of that decision from 12 months ago, but also – in words and actions – an expression of Andy Burnham’s desire to go further than his predecessor Keir Starmer was willing to.
It is, the Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband believes, a re-assertion of the logic of eventually arriving at a two state solution – a viable Palestinian state alongside Israel.
Miliband, I’m told, was alive to what he saw as the necessity of a response to accelerating settler violence as soon as he arrived at the Foreign Office in July.
Sources talk of the diplomatic effort put into securing the breadth of co-ordinated international action today.
The domestic political context is this: plenty in the Labour movement and the wider British left have long clamoured for this to happen. Labour has, in recent years, haemorrhaged support in many communities with a significant Muslim population.

… Starmer was a disaster.
He manufactured claims of antisemitism to attack Corbyn and purge Labour of the left.
He bent over backwards to be an apologist for Israel’s genocide and the farcical arrest of anyone supporting Palestine Action has made a mockery of free speech.
With Starmer gone, the British Left are finally growing a spine and discovering their conscience again.
The appalling war crimes in Gaza that technically breach genocide thresholds alongside the illegal occupation of the West Bank and surging Settler violence can no longer be ignored by the West.
Israel is a rogue nation with a rogue population, the majority of whom want to eradicate Gaza, seize the West Bank and take half of Lebanon.
Israel is incapable of rationality because when you brutally oppress a people, it doesn’t just mutilate the Oppressed, it mutilates the Oppressor as well.
This is all happening after investigative reporting looking at how Netanyahu was warned October 7th was coming…
Netanyahu faces backlash over report he was warned of Hamas attack days before October 7
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced a fierce political backlash Tuesday over a report that the president of the UAE had warned him of a major Hamas operation days before the October 7, 2023 attack.
The Prime Minister’s Office dismissed the report as an “absolute lie.” But with Israel’s October elections less than two months away, Netanyahu’s rivals seized on it as the latest evidence of what they say is a growing list of warnings he had ignored.
The four opposition party leaders – Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, Avigdor Lieberman and Yair Golan – issued a rare joint statement calling for “an immediate and thorough investigation” into Netanyahu’s “failures and malfunctioning.”
“The Israeli public is entitled to know: What did Netanyahu know, when did he know, why he didn’t update the security establishment, and why he didn’t act to protect Israeli civilians?” the statement said.

…day by day justice for the Palestinians is coming.

More window dressing bullshyt. Meanwhile the UK keeps on providing Israel with ‘flyover’ intel, and more, whenever asked by Israel. Israel is no rogue nation. Israel is our boy, our golden child, whatever they need, we, the West, will provide. Israel repays us with battle tested policing and surveillance tech.

While in an ideal world we would have a one state solution in Israel with Palestinians having the same rights as Jews I can’t see it being allowed so the two state solution is about the best we can hope for. If only our government had the same decency as the UK government instead of being the Netanyahu supporter club.
