In reply to Frank Macskasy. Does TVNZ think that it’s audience consist of Village Idiots from all over the country? Obviously it does, just look at its programming. TV1 is just a shadow of what it once was. Bring it back to Avalon, when TV1 was a public service national broadcaster. A time that they weren't scared to take on politicians and other power brokers.

Nadine Chalmers-Ross was good in the finance spot (not a real expert but since she was only required to put the mainsteam view, she didn’t need to be). She doesn’t have the warmth required for cuddly daytime tv. She would be good in another vehicle with a more serious approach. I’m surprised Rawden lasted as long as he did. I assumed it was because the audience at that time of day really is stupid.

Indeed, I hate to say it, as I totally dislike Paul Henry and his partisan way of broadcasting, but ‘Breakfast’ has been so dull and giggly silly stuff, it was unwatchable to me.

I do also not really like Paul Henry Breakfast, but one must admit, it has a bit more “life” than “Breakfast” does.

So I am glad both of them are going, both presenters that we still have, and I think that it is true, that Hillary was offered a job at TVNZ, most likely on a revamped ‘Breakfast’ program, perhaps with Jack Tame.

If they are given freedom to use their skills, we may finally have a valid, worth to watch competition to Mr Henry and his co presenters.

Let us get back to reporting on stuff, such as Morning Report does on the radio, that is real news, what really matter, and guests with competence and education, who can contribute intelligent stuff in discussions and interviews.

Stop this mellow, soft touch interviewing of the PM every week and present him with some real hard questions, thanks, that is where they are lacking, both on TV One and TV3.

This is blue TVNZ we are talking about here, the station that puts a racist redneck on at 7pm every night, and allows him to cut loose with whatever worthless opinion he feels like sharing.
I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much for an improvement

Our TV networks continually make bad decisions – just look at the new channel Bravo ( voted in the top 10 worst channels in America ) whats up with that! – sadly I believe there was better content when New Zealand had only 2 channels. That’s showing my age!

I had the pleasure driving to work a couple of months ago, of listening to Hillary Barry defending a pedophile on the Henry breakfast show. Perhaps they didn’t get on because they are both fanatics, one of the left the other of the right.
