The settler brigade invaded NZ and TOOK what they WANTED from Maori. [Do read: “No Ordinary Man – the extraordinary life and times of Dr Arthur Purchas” – by John Steele – a well researched and documented true account!] Between 1839 and the 1890s several hundred ‘Settler Ships’ arrived in NZ bringing in tens of thousands of immigrants! Horrific isn’t it and some of you have the gall to treat our indigenous people with contempt! So stop using Maori as a punching bag and give them back their ‘Treaty Rights’. I’m not advocating here that they should be treated in a special way, but stop putting them down. You are the ‘interlopers’ the ‘invaders’ not them. The British TOOK large areas of land under the NZ Settlements Act 1863. They did the same to many other countries – as if it was their right! I’m happy to not be from Settler stock!
