In reply to <a href="https://thedailyblog.co.nz/the-daily-blog-open-mic-monday-5th-september-2016/#comment-28958">CLEANGREEN</a>.

Indeed.
It actually led an RNZ News bulletin at one stage.
Whilst I have the deepest sympathy for her and her battle, I also well remember her preparedness to offer spin and bullshit to prop up her Natzi colleagues - even going back when Backbenchers was on TVNZ7.
"What I Would say ........."
"I've got two/three/four things to say......"

Absolute kaka - ALL OF IT

In some ways people like Nikki are more dangerous than the known bullshit artists, if only because they're quite nice people.
(You KNOW you're going to get a load of crap when the Key/Joyce sociopaths open their mouths - going forward - and I think there are 'learnings' in all that for all of us - eh? possums. Pure unadulterated shit!!! But what's WORSE is when supposedly critical thinkers like Nikki are prepared to run the spin!)

I'm not sure I can remember Helen Kelly's predicament leading a news bulletin, and I've certainly never heard some of the utterly tragic stories to do with homelessness, or patients being put on waiting lists to be put on waiting lists leading.

I have seen John Key says this and John Key says that in our MSM - at every opportunity they get.
Martyn's latest seems entirely relevant (The Raymon Miller Fallacy).

We've still got a handful of half decent journalists hanging on for grim death - aside from the obvious, it's as well not to name them or they'll be up for redundancy. They occasionally come out with a few gems.

I've learnt that the only thing that motivates the likes of the Natzis (and even Labour) these days, or partisan government departments these days is a potential for embarrassment.

It's a shame Winston and The People's Party are in conflict at the moment because there's some really juicy shit at the moment that's in their mutual interest, and actually of benefit to all 'oppostion' parties in government.

KIM DANDY.

we need a bumper sticker with that on it.
“messages propagated by the corporate mainstream media”

Oh please wake up NZ! ( I know preaching to converted on this site.)

Well done Kim Dandy, we could ask that we donate to a free speech media channel like Channel 7 was for Opposition MP's to use to get the message to the lost voters!!!

Dunno Grant,

I last visited TS there last week briefly to see what they were covering and it was current so maybe they've been hacked again?

Please advise if you find out.

Once was Tim,

Yes exactly mate, pity they could show compassion for the "kiwi battler" also eh?

Good that Winston's battling again in the press for us kiwi battlers as Rob Muldoon used to say also.

About time we dropped idolising the rich here eh?

lprent's been fiddling again in his quest to make it the perfect site.
It's not only a forum for the left and RW trolls, but a medium for obsessive indulgence.
No doubt there'll be an explanation soon when it's back online outlining what occurred and the step-by-step to recovery

Oh that it could be that every woman suffering breast cancer (or cervical cancer), or every man suffering bowel cancer, or any person suffering liver, lung, throat, or other cancer .... could command the same headlines we're seeing and about to see.
My sympathies go to (her) family - but (no NOT 'but') when the colleagues you support and shuffle around with - dreaming up the spin for the next day are designed so that I should somehow feel a greater sympathy .... ppfffft!
..... next

Sauce for the goose and sauce for the gander

May you recover Nikki, and get through it. And if and when you do (having put yourself up there to represent your principles), spare a thought and fight for those you and your colleagues have disenfranchised, and enabled, and who do not have the same benefits you'll have during your fight.

(Public Health System - waiting lists et al is it?) surely not.

Before I'm criticised by all and sundry - nah - fuk it. (I'll wait for the backlash before responding - I'm actually writing down some of what I think will be various responses)
P-P-P-Paul Henry! M-M-M-Mike Hosking! L-L-L-Louise Choice..... dididid dum! Sting: Pa u l H E N R Y!!!! N-N-N-Nikki Kaye .....

GMO is an elaborate corporate plan to control our seed production and crops so we are ecstatic that the court ruled against the corporate greed to control our crops.

The High Court has upheld the Environment Court's decision that local councils can have control over use and release of genetically modified organisms in their district.

The ruling was based on an appeal by Federated Farmers, which argued the release of GMOs was already regulated by the Environmental Protection Authority and local councils were not qualified to make such decisions.
