The political process seems to encourage a certain type of personality on all sides which is usually not the best way to achieve decent results for all the community. Norm Kirk is the first politician that I remember growing up and we have not had someone with his vision since. I can vaguely remember Keith Holyoake as well and the National Party would be a better option if they had someone with his values instead of the free market ideologues that have destroyed the countries social fabric.
