Revenge of the spurned – 60% jump in Special enrolments could swing NZ Election
I think this election will be so close that we won’t know who is the winner on Election night and we will need to wait forth specials 20 days later.
I believe the Overhangs generated by TPM and National will mean any Government will require 4 parties.
The enormous 60% jump in overseas enrolment speaks of something that is percolating overseas…
Stats NZ estimates there are about one million New Zealanders living overseas. Offshore voter enrolments are rising – currently 104,164 – up a whopping 60% compared to the same point in the 2023 election cycle, according to the latest electoral commission data. The commission told the Guardian this is the “highest number” of enrolments it has seen in recent elections.

One of the reasons I suspect of the Greens slow polling numbers was driven in part by so many Green age voters leaving NZ over the last 18 months.
They are about to have they moment off revenge if they vote.
The Specials break in favour of the Left, that is one of the reasons why National, ACT and ZNF gerrymandered the enrolment rules this election.
Wouldn’t it be a glorious irony that all the Kiwis this racist Government drove off shore were the ones that sunk this terrible Government?

Something that is percolating overseas is the rise of right wing govt around the world people are waking up to the dangers of the left.
Doesn’t appear to be all that much enthusiasm for the right wing govts. you think are rising. We are all becoming aware of the dangers of the right, if you ask me.

If r/w govts. have managed to hold on, it may be because they’ve gerrymandered the electorate and voting procedures. Brazil certainly bucked your trend brilliantly and a similar fate may await certain other r/w leaders.

The day of reckoning is definitely coming. This vile CoC has kicked the working and needy in the teeth, over and over again. They are the ones holding the economy together and paying way more tax than the smug, greedy ‘Top-Feeders’! How has this been allowed to happen? So Left, when you get back in, close the damn tax “loopholes” and raise the “top” tax rate to align with Australia’s! If those affected leave our lovely NZ, who cares – at present ‘many’ are nothing short of bludgers/parasites and continuously take, but never give – because they can! And Luxon / Brown stop LYING.
