800 000 kiwis live in poverty, why aren’t they showing gratitude for all the public services they rely on getting cut so that the Finance Minister might maybe could possibly make a surplus in 3 years time?
The last 3 El Ninos caused $12b in economic damage, this latest one is predicted to be the worst El Nino in 1000 years, there is no economic modelling for that, how safe are these Treasury predictions?

The gst revenue collected from taxing food is $4billion.
Gst could be removed from food no problem.
Are the left parties going to remove gst from food? Why is govt taxing the food of pensioners, disabled, unemployed people, working poor and workers under mortgage interest stress.
A tax on food is the most regressive of all taxes. Removal of gst on food makes a single person $880 better off and a family of four $3500 better off per year.
