Organised crime the big winner from Tobacco Pimp Casey Costello

Casey Costello has been appointed New Zealand’s first Government minister solely responsible for tackling the growing risk of organised crime, a problem described as the “No 1” threat to national security.

I don’t think making a Tobacco Pimp like Costello the new drug tzar will do much and the meth testing in our water proves how hopeless she is…
The scourge of methamphetamine continues to wreak havoc across New Zealand, with the equivalent of almost two million doses detected in wastewater sites over one week in April.
That equates to a weekly record high of almost 40kg of meth, which is estimated to have a weekly social cost of $40 million.
This followed phase one of Health New Zealand’s national awareness campaign, which had high visibility but poor engagement; the average time spent watching its social media video about meth addiction was two seconds.

…could you imagine if Labour were in power and this drug testing level was occurring?
Mike Hosking would be screaming!
You will remember that it was TDB who was pointing out that despite decades of being fear mongered by our Politicians about domestic gang violence, we argued our domestic organised crime were not in the same league of criminal sophistication as Australia’s crime culture and that the 501s being forced back here were forming syndicates and standing over the local gangs and that this presented a unique danger to NZ because our local thick-o cops have no capacity to deal with organised crime that uses counter-intelligence tactics.
TDB argued that we faced a unique threat with 501 syndicates using their South American Cartel links to import cheaper and more pure meth and that these syndicates were using extreme violence against local gang chapters and were patching them over.
TDB argued that this posed a unique threat because South American Cartels are so powerful and sophisticated, they could do enormous damage here.
Instead the Government decided to waste time and energy on banning gang patches and pretending that somehow solves organised crime.
If we were serious about cracking down on organised crime and not just paying lip service to it, we would hire 100 Mandarin speaking police officers.
The biggest reason why the spike in meth is occurring is because the Chinese are deeply involved.
What we refuse to acknowledge because our Fourth Estate media is dead, is that Shadow Chinese Banking services have created the infrastructure for the 501 syndicates in NZ to pay South American Cartels directly via Shadow Chinese Banking services.
The expose in the Financial Times at how wide spread Chinese shadow banking for criminal organisations has become also notes Auckland in the global chain of this criminal empire.
Let me spell it out incase you are missing my point.
SHUT. DOWN. THE. CHINESE. SHADOW. BANKING. SERVICES!
They are providing banking infrastructure to the cartels FFS, that’s why we are flooded with Meth – because the suppliers and the dealers can easily transfer the money to buy and sell the meth, that means all they need to do is smuggle in the product without worrying about moving the cash around.
It makes the drug dealing very easy and the Chinese have a vested interest in it beyond addicting the Pacific nations.
NZ was slow to understand what was happening with the influx of 501s.
NZ was slow to comprehend that as much as we had been telling people our gangs were bad, they weren’t in the same league of extreme violence and criminals sophistication of those who were being forced here.
NZ is not seeing the link between Chinese shadow banking, 501 syndicates and South American Cartels.
If we want people off meth, we have to have fully funded 3month rehabilitation programmes that we can fund from a legalised cannabis market.
Otherwise meth addiction will rise and the South American Cartels will get a foot in our door. Bribing Police and Judges will be next, we are already seeing this in Corrections and Border Controls.
Nothing National is suggesting by banning Gang Patches or Military Boot Camps is anything more than virtue signalling rhetoric for their frightened electorate.
It’s more important to bash Māori gangs and promise retribution against them than it is it actually deal to the financial structure of Chinese shadow banking that is enabling 501 syndicates to profit from the billion dollar meth trade.
Independent Media is more important than ever, especially in the lead up to the Election. TDB is the largest Left Wing Blog in NZ and we have been operating for 13 years. We get zero funding from NZonAir and we don’t have no rich backers. If you can donate please do so here or directly into our account –12-3065-0133561-56

Only if YOU dont vote.
Organised crime aye…? So that means they’re investigating the privatisation of our electricity infrastructure, the destruction of our passenger rail infrastructure, the mafia-like super market cartels, the fishing quota scams, the devious, criminal behaviour of what were once our banks, the blatant politically motivated exploitation of our primary industry farmers, the public housing scams, the deliberate knee capping of our once-was world-first public health systems to allow private health insurance scammers to flourish, etc, etc. You mean that organised crime?
You’re correct, that’s what they should be doing although the criminals responsible for what you describe have special access to power and make sure they are not held accountable.
What an inept looking line-up! Not one of these MPs has the expertise to tackle the NOW HUGE drug problem in NZ while their PM pretends it away. This asinne CoC thought that banning gang patches would remove the drug problem! All it meant was you can no longer identify a gang member as he hasn’t a patch – well done, DER! People are turning to drugs out of desperation, lack of employment and hopelessness! This problem is so large now it’s almost impossible to stop the rot! Yes, if Labour was in power, there would be hell to pay with first complainant, Hosking and his vile trolls. So Mitchell how about you shut down the Chinese Shadow Banking as a first step? Is that so hard to do? In fact this is such an issue it needs all the Political parties to be on board – these are our citizens and if we don’t get control of this issue it will only worsen and lead to more crime. We must give our people a reason and the means to be able to live a much better life!
