Compulsory voting would help the Left, why don’t Labour introduce it, they appear directionless with no long term strategy IMHO.
Maybe we would get further if all ‘poor people’ just simply stopped paying their rent until the system is made much, much fairer. When a political party pits the ‘genuine needy’ against the ‘monied greedy’, it’s clear who is going to win. However, time for a different approach to the extreme smugness, racism, vile self-absorbed trolls and all those who believe they are “better” not because they are, but simply because they have wealth to use as power. What an ugly country NZ has finally turned into and it only took 2+years without moral control and a pathetically weak PM! I’m all for compulsory voting – at least everyone who wants to vote would be on the roll not being dishonestly removed by scumbags. Way past time for all our media to start showing some integrity, fairness, transparency and decency – how about trying it! It can’t get any worse than it is now! And yes, 7/11 is “rigged”, so do hope the perpetrators reap what they have sown!
