  1. Nicky No-boats has had three years to sort this out. Why this announcement just a few weeks before the election?

  2. Well, here we go again – more lies and false promises but no real research, just more knee-jerking and mouthing off. If RW voters swallow this again then they really are as thick as two short planks. Willis has had three years to fix the supermarket duopoly and has skirted around the problem, but never come up with anything! Now, in panic mode, she is promising something that she WILL NEVER DELIVER! Compare this to what Labour is offering? If folk reject the facts and only see what they want to believe, NZ will continue go to the dogs! Is that really what you want?

  3. ” Labour says if you’ve got market power and you’re price-gouging families, they’ll make it illegal and make you pay the money back ”

Hang on. In the last year of the previous Labour government their response to the obvious problem was to appoint a grocery commissioner on a gold standard package to placate the anger in the community at the obvious price gouging that was as now was happening then.

Appointing a grocery commissioner has done nothing in the way of reigning in Foodstuffs or Woolworths. The change that must be forced Labour will ever agree to. As believers in the market and status quo they are unable to do what’s needed.

Finally they were forced to offer GST be removed from the price of your onions. It still would not have solved the systemic problem.

Its no longer about National or Labour and their empty promises , its the free market and its effects that need attention.
