National is shutting Kiwi businesses down – Labour

Business liquidations have soared a massive 71 percent in the three years under National, another sign of Christopher Luxon’s failure to turn the economy around.

“Christopher Luxon’s choices have made it harder to survive as a small business,” Labour finance and economy spokesperson, Barbara Edmonds said.

“Behind every liquidation is a business owner losing their livelihood, workers facing uncertainty, and families under pressure.

“Christopher Luxon is happy to insult small businesses and blame everyone else for his failures but he’s had three years to turn the economy around.

“Instead unemployment is at an 11-year high, businesses are going under and Kiwis are being forced to choose between essentials like food and fuel.

“Christopher Luxon’s biggest sales pitch was convincing New Zealand his business credentials would fix the economy. The numbers show that he simply can’t deliver,” Barbara Edmonds said.
