..the sickening fawning by Suff over Winston’s performance at their Kingmakers debate highlights all that is wrong in NZ Politics.
Winston is like an octogenarian on viagra, a stiff old prick that no one wants.
For the last 3 years, he (and Seymour) have led a racist campaign that has promoted an anti-Māori, anti-Treaty, anti-Beneficiary, anti-environment, anti-disabled, anti-Union, anti-worker and anti-renter agenda that has strangled the common good for their donors interests, yet he turns up and manages not to shit has pants for an hour and Stuff are gushing all over him as if his grumpy tirades were somehow pearls of wisdom come down from Mount Sinai!
It’s almost as if all the race baiting culture war revenge fantasies masquerading as social policy were all ignored because Winston managed to behave for 45minutes.
This is how Nigel Farage and Trump manage to rise, because the Fourth Estate Media let them off the hook.
The Taxpayers’ Union may as well call it a day and shut down their influence network because the uncritical gushing by Stuff makes Jordan Williams unnecessary.
Not even their own audience gave it to Winston, they gave it to Q!

Winston Peters has deteriorated to the point where interviewing him feels like a case of elder abuse.

Stuff ceased being a credible news broadcasting force many years ago and has become an elite yuppie chat show with liberal pretensions.
Why is so much of NZ media, and in this case Stuff, so RW aligned, especially bearing in mind this CoC’s maladministration during their three years ‘at the helm’ – I can’t say ‘in charge’. Seymour and Peters have bullied the weak Luxon to get as many of their bottom lines as possible. While Bishop has fast-tracked every policy he can, to suit the CoC, to the detriment of our country and its people. Surely you can all see this? So after the Kingmakers’ Debate, online viewers did not rate the five leaders the same as Stuff – an enormous difference! Brain-washing again, but we aren’t falling for it? If you can’t do any better, just stop posting your garbage.
Because you don’t get to be a journalist unless you’re no threat to the establishment. You can be smart and insightful but there are lines you can’t cross and so you end up with weird results like this where they could only praise Winston or David Seymour.
