I think the general consensus of opinion is that you either have a lawn, or you have linoleum. A bonce covered in thread-bare carpet tiles is generally regarded as looking a bit naff. Not as naff as a toupee or that hilarious spray-on hair stuff, but still naff.

Then I read that Luxon has sold everything from soap to icecream, and I thought, ‘Well at least if he dirties politics he can clean them up again, but then I thought, ‘Do we really want the country run by a salesman?’ and, ‘Is there anything much left to sell ? ‘

Then I read that Luxon lowered the starting wages for cabin crew, and I thought,” Yep, that’s one way a company can make money, pay the workers as little poss – they’re only workers, they don’t matter, and the Nat party makes it clear that keeping people poor is good, and the boy has to toe the party line.’

But when I read that Christian Luxon had outsourced Call Centre Operators, I was very very seriously peeved, and I thought, ‘You bastard.’

Wherever possible I use companies who have NZ call centres, and employ our people. It’s one reason I switched from Spark to Slingshot, because the latter have an NZ call centre, providing jobs for Kiwis.

Who wants an MP who pro-actively discriminates against NZ workers ? National, unfortunately.

Simon Bridges has got more than expected blowback with his latest “punish the poor for being poor” attempt so it will be interesting to see if the Nat minders try and get Luxon to change his approach. WFF beneficiaries will likely not enjoy being grouped in with WINZ/MSD beneficiaries.
