As Winston was doing his huff and puff promoting anti vax conspiracy theories, Lawrence shouted, ‘Are you vaccinated”, and because that simple burn kneecapped Winston’s huff and puff, he turned toxic and went racist.
Winston went so racist, it triggered a diplomatic fight with our largest trading partner.
NZ First is NOT the party your grandparents voted for and loved.
Once upon a time Winston was a politician you could respect.
He formed NZFirst as a response to the extremes of neoliberalism, focused on National Economic Sovereignty and fought the wine box inquiry.
That was old school NZFirst.
The NZFirst of today however is not the NZ First of yesteryear.
Now Winston fishes out of the feral conspiracy swamp and for them the dogma is: Climate change is a hoax, Trans are worse than cancer and vaccines had nano bots in them.
Winston went racist because Lawrence had the audacity of highlighting Winston’s cynical adoption of anti vax nonsense for votes.
That is why Winston lost his rag.
He was challenged on his anti vax nonsense in a way that was totally devastating.

There’s no such thing as a ‘senior MP’. Some are higher up the list than others, that’s all. Being at the top of the list doesn’t exempt them from questions and scrutiny.
‘Senior MPs’ should be better able to defend their stance having been in parliament so long. They shouldn’t need to resort to attacks on the asker that have nothing to do with the topic under discussion.
Winston hasn’t learnt much in his decades in parliament if he needs the likes of Elliot Ikilei to defend him and make excuses for his behaviour.
Elliot sounds like an idiot. ‘He started it’. How is asking if someone is vaccinated, remotely in the vicinity of ‘sod off back to your own country’? Of course sounding like an idiot is pretty much a requisite skill for NZF.
Not sure why Winnie considers this a ‘toxic’ question? I understand Winston is what the COVID vaccine crank community consider a ‘mudblood’. Why can’t he just be honest about it? Why isn’t he honest about anything at all?
