My guess is that Stanford left Penk hanging when it seemed the numbers weren’t going her way and we are left once again with the empty corporate suit that spouts meaningless CEO word salads . . when what we actually need is a plan to make NZ a better country for all NZ’ers and particularly for those hard-working NZ’ers who are increasingly struggling to feed their kids etc.
And another one bites the dust! What a lying, hypocrite and disloyal colleague Stanford has turned out to be. She’s right when she says she didn’t challenge for the leadership, but she sure meant to but “chickened” out when it came to the crunch, leaving Penk to take the rap! Surely this should end her political career? And the other deceitful five should go too. Yes, it is indeed a circus full of clowns with more than its share of turncoats, Judas and backstabbers and I haven’t included Seymour and Peters yet! And gormless Luxon swallowed it whole – no wonder he’s in the position he is. He simply doesn’t have a clue!

So Poor old Penky put his hand up to lead the charge with obviously some solid backing and when walking into the hen house found that those strong backers had melted away. It’s no wonder Penk stepped down. How could he continue to work with a bunch of treacherous snakes adhering to their National Party Values?
I don’t feel sorry for Penky he fell on his own sword in the meantime if you look at Bishop and Stanfords faces they have guilt written all over them, not exactly a ringing endorsement for them to be re-elected.
Agree, also begs the question of why Penk would continue a lie.
Well Penk also said he fully supports Luxon after being sacked. He’s trying not ruin his next employment opportunity. He could have said nothing rather than lie.
