  1. Our Green Party is so β€œon the ball” with their innovative plan to improve bus and train transport etc. throughout NZ. However we all know New Zealanders have a ‘love affair’ with cars, [and trucks] so the largest hurdle will be changing their fixed mind-set! Good luck there. I fully agree that if a bus can take ~45 passengers, why would we waste gas and time? Keeping fares down will also bring more passengers. A simple but sensible fix for a currently broken system. Major cities in the world have world-class passenger and rail networks and efficiently handle millions of daily commuters. However, we are a small country, but I believe our young are ready for this challenge – we just need the system in place now. There is also way less parking everywhere so it has become more and more difficult. Great Greens have come out with their costings so National can’t throw accusations at them. There will be no fast-track here!!
