Dear NZ – What is at stake this election
Brothers and Sisters.
Can I just please remind everyone what is at stake this election, because I warned y’all last election that you didn’t understand the crazy shit National + ACT + NZFirst would generate policy wise because you were all too angry and post covid bitter at Labour.
So please hear me now.
If you thought National + ACT + NZF version one was cray cray, it ain’t nuthin compared with what National + ACT + NZF version 2 will be like.

Comrades, the Right Wing Social Media Influencers have done the same MMP Overhang math we on the Left have done and they are calling for all their followers to candidate vote National while party voting ACT or NZFirst.
In 2023, National won 44 electorates, this election they are certain to lose at least 4 and get a party vote that could be sub 28% which would generate an 8 seat overhang which would spell the end of the Party list careers of Nicola Willis, Gerry Brownlee, Chris Bishop, Paul Goldsmith and Melissa Lee.
That would be a devastating blow to National’s Cabinet, excluding Melissa Lee.
Consider the outcome of this.
ACT and NZF with double digit empowerment plus a National Party Cabinet smashed to smithereens.
If Luxon can’t control Winston and Seymour now, how on earth does he do it without key members of his Cabinet and them double their size?
The quick yellow fox and silver wolf will jump all over the lazy blue hog.
Expect 3 times the crazy and 5 times the social carnage.
You have 42 days to enrol.

Independent Media is more important than ever, especially in the lead up to the Election. TDB is the largest Left Wing Blog in NZ and we have been operating for 13 years. We get zero funding from NZonAir and we don’t have no rich backers. If you can donate please do so here or directly into our account –12-3065-0133561-56

Our choices aren’t good. Going by their well-documented record, Labour and it’s partners are guaranteed to fuck up the country all over again, particularly with Hipkins at the helm. He who fucked up every portfolio he ever managed. I’ll take the current shitshow any day and grind along until better days.
I can just imagine Qiulae Wong’s post election negotiating strategy..
“Mr Luxon you will need at least three Opportunity MPs in your cabinet to balance the power of ACT and NZF”
“Mr Hipkins you will need at least three Opportunity MPs in your cabinet to balance the power of the Greens and TPM”
“Deputy PM and Foreign Minister would be good too. If that racist old anti-Asian bigot can fill both those roles at the same time, so can I.”
We’re still under neoliberalism’s boot so we have no governance which, by the way, should be by us and for us but is instead a wealth enabler for the already arguably undeservedly wealthy. We all know that you and you hate farmers and yet you’re ok with the likes of the recent arrival zombies like the zuru bro’s.
Until we flush out neoliberalism then set the dogs on it like the rat that it is then we’re going to remain as fucked as we already are.
Here are some causes for pauses for thought.
How do we bleach our politic of neoliberalism?
How do we make poverty and homelessness in our AO/NZ a horrible memory and the stuff of nightmares a debatable subject for we, the people and an investigative project for the police?
How do we go up and into every single multi-billionaire in AO/NZ to get a clearer view of their internal workings?
I don’t know the answers to your questions but I hope we haven’t left it too late to rein these greedy spoilers in. They are intent on making as much money as they can, why I don’t know, while rushing us all headlong towards extinction.
What’s the point of money if you are dying for lack of water or because you are unable to adapt to the temperature changes.
Money will only take you so far. After that you are in the kak with the rest of us.
Where’s AI when your toilet needs cleaning? Waiting to be fine-tuned probably.
With climate and AI threatening us all, we don’t need an ongoing bunch of AH’s running our country. We need to react to the damage this CoC has done to NZ and it’s people, especially those Luxon labels “bottom-feeders” and for once think about NZ and not OURSELVES! NZ is a unique and lovely place, however it is now close to ruin with a huge divide between the ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’. NZ also relies too much on housing and basic exports instead of diverse industries. Add to that the high living costs and low wage growth which is pushing skilled workers to move overseas. We are smarter than this, so make sure your vote counts this coming election and continue to check your enrolment details. https://vote.nz/enrolling/enrol-or-update/enrol-or-update-online?
Voting is a choice between the Coalition with all it faults and successes and a lack luster Labour and 2 or 3 unhinged partners with plans that will wreak the country .
Voters need to think, read and research and remember how thinks were 3 years ago and why they did not return Labour .
Great we get to choose between self-serving rat fuckers to the right of us and racist woke muppets to the left of us . .
The economy under Labour was going gang busters. Lowest unemployment in a generation.
The current dogs are herding our young people out of the country.
High inflation high rents high house prices under Labour. Granted employment was high but it was based on a overblown public service and jobs created on borrowed money.
Based on a tsunami of borrowed money…
Trevor forgets that simply because of his bias
and Labour is releasing policies far too slowly—while both the Greens and TPM policies sometimes cancel each other out and cannot work with the very limited policies that Labour has released.
