Filling people’s heads with heady talk about science is too much in this world of notions. In the USA children start arguing with their teachers; everywhere teachers think they know all the truth and there isn’t time set aside for talking and discussing what they are learning and how it is applied in everyday life. Are there other ways etc?

Theories is what we are taught – not much practical stuff, and we are unprepared for how to think, understand, cope with situations where we have to bow to greater knowledge as in covid vaccinations and plague effects. Putting ourselves and our fears aside for assessing what is happening and considering the greater good and others, general public, is hard when self is all. Is this when a new war would start in the near past? Under democracy suddenly every ordinary person becomes an individual temple of wisdom.

Obviously science and feeling are your two main answers to life frog. If science doesn’t feel good to you then you go with your gut feeling. Then trying self-medication does the trick – a wee bit of this or that drug and then the final possibility – ‘Death is the cure for all diseases – of the body and the mind’.

But yes, when anecdotes “add up” and considered under appropriate conditions and controls they are candidates for consideration as data capable of supporting an evidential conclusion or hypothesis.
Until then, an anecdote remains an anecdote.

My family and the whole of my extended family had positive experiences frog with the way the vaccination was offered and none experienced the effects you did. As for the science, I’d prefer that over uneducated right wing conspiracy theories any day of the week.

Yes they have thats why we still have measels and chicken pox and other child hood diseases becaus one parent does not get their kid vaccinated and sends them to school sick to spread it around .
