The Jackal is one of those anonymous bloggers the right wing propagandists love to hate, mainly because my beliefs are diametrically opposed to theirs. In reality I’m just your average Kiwi, who works hard, obeys the law and wants what’s best for Aotearoa New Zealand.
Wanting what’s best for this great country of ours is in fact why I blog, because I know there is power in words and if they are well crafted, words can help remedy some of the damage caused by self serving politicians. New Zealand could be so much better if we had politicians who actually had the best interests of the people at heart but unfortunately these days I’m often left wondering if they have a heart at all.
To this extent people may think that I’m somehow associated with this or that political party. However this isn’t the case, as I’ve found working from outside the political arena suits me best. I’m then free to criticize policy or statements on the actual evidence available, and spend a lot of time researching the topics I write about. The shortcomings of this current government are why I’m so vociferous in my contempt for National.
My job as a blogger is to highlight at every opportunity the social, economic and political failures of neoliberalism. Sometimes I will use obscenities, sometimes poke fun but mainly I will attempt to blast their failed philosophy out of existence with reasoned and well thought out debate.
