How NZF is attempting to destabilize Chippy’s leadership

The old hyena drinks the blood of youth

By attacking Chippy and ruling him out, Winston is trying to message the faction inside Labour who believe the Māori Party is a kiss of death and that NZF are preferable that they must move against Chippy to cement into place that possible alliance.

The current cavalcade of political circus freaks who are NZF MPs doesn’t make the coupling with Labour easy, however if Stuart Nash ran in Napier for NZF and was given the number 2 position on the party list, it could look far more workable.

The backlash such a move would make against Labour would see Greens and Māori Party pick up support, you could even see the Labour Caucus revolt against such a tactic.

As much as the Labour faction who believe NZF is preferable to MP want to believe it, the truth is NZF would be such a hand-break on any real change, Labour may as well remain in opposition.

Winston wants to keep destabilising Labour by baiting the faction who believes NZF is preferable to the MP.

These Labour MPs should be smarter than this.

  1. It’s not enough for Labour to not be ACT. It’s not enough for Labour to not be National. It’s not enough for Labour to not be NZ First. It’s not enough for Labour to not be The Gren Party. It’s not enough for Labour to not be Te Pati Maori. But if that’s all that Labour can offer, then the party will wither and die on the vine.

    • I agree with you Henry .
The current model of labour may as well die on the vine.
The Greens are doing all the running the Labour party used to be known for .
Labour may as well not exist.

      • ” Yeah totally agree get rid of Chris Hopkins and replace him with Willy Jackson ”

You can change the shop keeper but the merchandise is still crap.

    • Don’t hold us in suspense PO’D. You know that most people haven’t learned much pre-2000 since they got their first cellphone at age 4. What happ4ned in the Briar Patch to Brer Rabbit. In your own words please. Did your teachers say that? I think mine did but I never found out what it meant.

  2. ” These Labour MPs should be smarter than this. ”
Those labour mp’s are still neoliberal so they’re the same thing as the neoliberal virus prime, national.
Trash the four now foreign owned banks asb, anz, bnz and westpac, the ones now owned by our fiercest primary industry exports competitors and arrest douglas and seymour.
I find it increasingly concerning that Martyn Bradbury refers to ‘labour as if it was still Labour. It isn’t.
Labour, has been gutted by roger and his acolytes for their free and easy wealth creation and now, this new or neo labour, is merely a husk to traffic pro neoliberal agendas under the guise of Labour still being the people’s party. Again, it isn’t.
I’d go so far as to write that hipkins’s silence springs from him being told to shut the fuck up and keep your head down. Hipkins could, if he was brave enough, upend rogers dirty work. Hipkins could openly discuss neoliberalism, explain what it is and why then call for Crown interventions to purge then reanimate the Labour roger pushed under a bus.
I’m a farmer and I loath national and always have done. I’ve always seen national as fakes. Cheap crooks in expensive offices who’s mandate was to divide to conquer to exploit while going tut-tut, never mind now give us your money. Old Labour by contrast had good intentions. Old Labour wanted good things for working people. Human people. Normal people. Old Labour wanted balance, harmony
and security. This labour, this ‘thing’ that roger left us with isn’t any of those old values. It’s now a cringing minion to crooked money. It’s really just a a deflection mechanism working for national.
The darker side to all this shit is that neoliberalism is now so entrenched in our lives and politics that there’s no back door to run through to regroup to resist and reclaim our AO/NZ. All avenues are closed off, such is the criminal genius hatched in the late 1980’s, so we need help to unwrap our own particular iteration of neoliberalism so that we can see it for what it is. A crime wave. A polite, legitimised, amoral, inhuman, crime wave. This thing above? The smoking mafioso and his attacks on the pink, sitting duck? It’s a play, a charade. It’s designed to have you think there are reasonable ructions for who best will serve us. For fucks sake don’t be fooled, again.
    Opinions please.

  3. The most abysmal govt in this country’s history has inflicted itself with many cuts that are bleeding, Winston won’t want blood on his suit so as the election draws nearer he will take note of the polls put on his riding coat mount his horse and head off to a new rodeo.

  4. bomber is a derranged cry baby. watch act surge next election, watch labour greens and poo party have a massive cry.

  5. Just reading the headline – makes it vital for Hipkins to step down now as most lucid people think necessary. Mustn’t wait and then have the problem of Winston being able to say Labour leadership is crumbling because of what he says, the poseur. We have some very blu-tack brains out there – malleable and able to be pressed into a promising surface. And will stay until given a definite push. Just offering the peeps white bread soaked in milk seems OK for the dimly possessed, or invalids, who only operate on set automatic lines or don’t vote at all.

  6. Of all the leaders Seymour is doing the best job by a mile. Not the best job for NZ/Ao of course. The best job for his party.

  7. Come off it kwtc – even a house of cards will keep standing for a while before going flat. So keep things going while we hold NZ safe though the rope is getting frayed whre it passes over the cliff edge;, it’s too exciting for words watching the drama. Besides I don’t like hard falls.

Can we start finding cunning ways to enhance our systems so that they run through their paces and the good outcomes return to our own starting post for another go. I think that’s the idea of a working economy. If I’m wrong please explain where and why.

The Phillips Machine was invented in the 1950’s by William (Bill) Phillips to calculate the workings of the UK national economy using water. It is also known as a MONIAC (Monetary National Income Analogue Computer)
