The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog, 3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.
All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.
EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird Bullshit about the UN taking over the world and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.
So, name callers then. That’s it?
What’s this about? Has it strayed from social media?
How should we do the truth? Labour can do it. If they want, or they can continue to be for the rich. I despise’m. My g.grandfather despised them and I can’t disagree with him.
The question for our era – which group do you feel drawn to between Mechanical or Musical? An important decision. If you belong to the Mechanical then this will involve you. Decision-making – useful funding aiding human beings coming from our human-developed economy v pie-in-the-sky giant gadgets for smart-alek scientific forays of questionable worth to the people or planet.

…The New Zealand government put $29 million towards MethaneSAT, which has been lost in space after going off course.
The government invested in MethaneSAT in the hopes of growing the space industry.
The mission’s goal was to name and shame oil and gas producers that are allowing planet-heating methane to escape into the atmosphere.
RNZ has been asking about problems with the satellite since September and was previously told its issues were “teething problems”.
Asked if the public had been kept adequately informed, Minister Collins said she had nothing to add and questions should go to the New Zealand Space Agency, which is part of the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment.
The Space Agency released a statement saying the owners of the MethaneSAT satellite had advised contact with the satellite was lost on 20 June and attempts to restore communication have been unsuccessful.
“Clearly this is a disappointing development. As those who work in the space sector know, space is inherently challenging, and every attempt, successful or not, pushes the boundaries of what we know and what we’re capable of.”…
Result of study and consideration? We are not capable of this. Hence $29 million to match can now be made available for people oriented programs. Is that how our political economy does work?
https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/565666/tauranga-truck-driver-acquitted-of-careless-driving-after-papamoa-cyclist-s-death
Cyclists are in larger numbers than previously as part of a fast moving transport system made for large bodied vehicles. We drivers have to watch out for them, particularly as many have at night a habit of wearing black, having no or a small light on their wheel, and appearing oblivious to their invisibility. Indeed when back lit with bright headlights they can still be unnoticeable and I nearly picked off one on a roundabout in that situation.
So pedestrians concentrating on cellphones stepping onto street, cyclists on the pavement trying to use their cellphones, men in black doing their best to be outraged victims of careless driving – the last vestiges of the welfare society I think, (where other people are expected to provide a safety net for the general public.) I approved of the welfare society, with a bit more effort and perseverance we could have continued and had even better outcomes. But today, we are left with cellphones, cyclists and huge ponderous buses adding stress to drivers.
