Merciless blitz on starving Gaza growing numbers

of dead and injured

Victims 25 June 26 June 2025:

103 more killed and 219 wounded

Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 103 dead and 219 wounded. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, has risen to at least 56,259 and the total wounded to at least 132,458. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 89 and, that of those injured, is more than 210. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

UN OCHA:

Gaza Humanitarian Situation Update #299

26 June 2025

Key Highlights:

Gaza’s water crisis has reached critical levels, with only 40% of drinking water facilities functional and fuel shortages pushing water systems to near collapse. By mid-June, 93% of households faced water insecurity, exacerbating thirst and public health risks.

Over 76,000 students in Gaza were unable to sit for their general secondary examinations over the past two academic years.

Families in Gaza are risking their lives to access food, with almost daily mass casualties reported as people attempt to reach supplies. Most families survive on just one nutritiously poor meal per day, while adults routinely skip meals to prioritise children, the elderly and the ill amid deepening hunger and desperation.

On average, 112 children have been admitted daily for treatment of acute malnutrition since the start of the year, with the situation set to deteriorate if conditions do not change immediately, UNICEF warns.

Leslie Bravery
Leslie Bravery is a Londoner with vivid World War Two memories of the Nazi blitz on his home town. In 1947/1948 His father explained to him what was happening to the Palestinians thus: “Any ideology or political movement that creates refugees in the process of realising its ambitions must be inhuman and should be opposed and condemned as unacceptable.” What followed confirmed this assessment of the Zionist entity a hundredfold. Now a retired flamenco guitarist, with a lifelong interest in the tragedy of what happened to the Palestinian people, he tries to publicise their plight. Because the daily injustices they suffer barely get a mention in the mainstream news media, Leslie edits/compiles a daily newsletter, In Occupied Palestine, for the Palestine Human Rights Campaign. These days, to preserve his sanity, he enjoys taking part in a drama group whenever possible!

  1. ‘Can’t mess with the Jews anymore. Internalise.’
It is like a masturbation addiction isn’t it Gaby? You just cannot leave it alone.
Internalise is what you do with your finger when you see Palestinians children die.

  2. 2045 Technion University Lecture by Professor Dorothy Ibrahim.
‘After the American Civil War the United States Empire collapsed and could no longer provide Israel with the military and political aid it needed to stay in control.
No other nation had a powerful Zionist lobby to force their support of Israel and the genocide of Gaza meant world wide disgust with Israel. The United Nations enforced a Peace Agreement that expelled illegal Jewish settlers and it was agreed Palestinians had the right of return to their ancestral homes.
Ultranationalists within the Israeli government decided to use nuclear weapons on Israel’s neighbours in an effort to derail the peace agreement with leaders Gaby Onanut Nishit and Zelda Agevet declaring it was better for all Jews to die rather than surrender their stolen land.
Fortunately Israeli moderates overpowered the Zealots and peaceful land transfers took place with Israelis choosing either to return to their ancestral homes in Europe or remain as citizens of the new state Israel-Palestine.
In fact academics agree that life in modern Israel-Palestine has returned to an earlier pattern of tolerance with Arabs and Jews sharing the same schools, hospitals with common inter-marriage between faiths.
