Sweet Jesus, this is so glorious, David Seymour sulking over his Oxford Debate media coverage is the funniest thing you’ll read this week…

David Seymour: I went to Oxford to test my beliefs and learned a sad thing about NZ

…firstly, Seymour threw shade at Willie Jackson and then went ion to lose the Debate Willie won, so media coverage pointing that out is fair!

His bitching and whining about free speech is hilarious when you consider ACT put this out attacking the free speech of a critic…

…it’s always the same with these right wing free speech champion hypocrites isn’t it? Free speech until they hear something they don’t like and then it’s a ‘derangement syndrome’.

David is right to complain about the lack of media attention of him in London, because while he was there, he went on an Atlas Network speaking tour that does demand attention!

When MATA questioned David Seymour on his links with the Free Market Alt-Right Culture War International Glee Club, The Atlas Network, David called Mihingarangi Forbes names, said she was a joke and that she was chasing conspiracy theories because he had nothing to do with The Atlas Network.

That’s David Seymour from last week in Britain on an Atlas Network speaking tour with other Atlas Network fanatics.

David does understand that we have the internet in NZ right?

He can’t just go to Britain, lose the Oxford Debate and then go on a speaking tour with Atlas Network fanboys while telling a leading Broadcaster in NZ that he has nothing do with the Atlas Network!

And look at the special things David had to say at these free market mix minglers…

Deputy Prime Minister David Seymour’s comments to a London audience calling smokers “fiscal heroes” – and declaring people should “light up” to save their government’s balance sheet – are reprehensible and make light of addiction, tobacco researchers say.

Seymour largely stands by his remarks, arguing smokers are a net economic positive through tobacco tax and reduced superannuation from early deaths – but has conceded he was wrong to describe as “quite evil” the Labour government’s plan to create a smokefree generation.

Seymour spoke about the decision following a speech to the Adam Smith Institute, a neoliberal think tank based in London, during a visit to the UK this month.

…”quite evil” to stop Tobacco companies from trading in death and misery?

Wow.

So David goes on an Atlas Network speaking tour (while denying having anything to do with the Altas Network) and then tells right wing audiences that smokers are fiscal heroes because they die and save the state money – but he’s bitching about media attention on him losing the Oxford Debate???????????????????

David Seymour is reaching Trump levels of absurdity.

In the words of Dame Jacinda.

  1. I bet Seemore would see concentration death camps as a great thing, as fiscal positives, because they turn people into fertiliser.

  2. ‘Seymour spoke about the decision following a speech to the Adam Smith Institute, a neoliberal think tank based in London, during a visit to the UK this month.’

The ghost of Adam Smith talking to phantom Karl Marx.
ADAM Good God Karl! The bastards are using me to promote gross inequality with massive extremes of rich and poor!
I said taxation should be fair with wealthy paying most of it on their income and assets. I said the state should provide decent infrastructure for the benefit of all not just individuals.
They call me the father of capitalism. I am a philosopher for fuck’s sake!
KARL I know Adam – the problem is we wrote all our stuff down and expected people to read it.
Let’s go and see Abraham Lincoln – that poor bastard helped found the American Republican Party.
