THEY TRICKED YOU AGAIN KIWI!
FamilyBoost policy: $14m of $62m spent on administration costs
Nearly a quarter of the money spent on National’s flagship FamilyBoost policy has gone towards running the scheme, instead of helping families.
Of the $62 million spent so far, just $48m has been paid out to parents, while $14m has gone towards administration costs.
Claims began being accepted by Inland Revenue (IRD) for the early childhood education rebate in October last year.
How does it feel Kiwi?
National promised you cost of living solutions, but they lied to you didn’t they?
Remember the $250 per fortnight tax cut they promised you?
Remember that?
How many actually got it?
Fewer than 50 families to get National’s full tax package, says CTU
Remember the $75 per week FamilyBoost child education rebate that was going to help working Mums and dads with childcare – how many ended up getting it?
Uptake figures as of April 9 show 249 households have received the full FamilyBoost payment.
They lied about tax cuts and they lied about Child payment rebates – they falsified how many would benefit so they could strangle off Public Services and now it turns out that of the $62million they spent on FamilyBoost, $14million went on the unworkable and complex admin!.
How easily tricked are you Kiwi?
How much must you hate Jacinda for these falsehoods to be preferable?
You need to take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror Kiwi.
Why are you a slave to the corporations that fund National?
National lied to your face, but as long as yo get the sense that you are ‘owning’ people online you have never met, that’s all that matter eh?
Get off your knees Kiwi, you bend for no corporation or rich prick!

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.
While there are certainly a large number of voters who haven’t a clue what they are voting for I put the cause of that mainly down to the weak pathetic sycophantic mainstream media that seems to view politics as a sport and parliament as some circus to rate from one performance to another. Just listen to the commentators on ZB or RNZ and TVNZ is plain missing in action.
So the public service wasted $14m. Another day at the office.
The labour cost for a business to bring revenue in is roughly 20 percent.
For Nact the labour cost to not give out tax cuts to the poor is 22 percent.
It would be interesting to know what the ird labour cost is to ensure landlords get all the tax cuts they’re “sorted and entitled” to.
National deliberately designed the scheme to have lots of administrative overhead. They did that to disincentivise parents from applying – the fuss of keeping invoices and submitting them regularly is a pain that is not worth the bother unless you are getting a significant amount of money back.
The lessons here are:
– National don’t give a f**k about ‘waste’ and inefficiency. They go on about these things simply as a way of denying services to non-rich people. When waste and inefficiency serve their own interests as is the case here, it’s all good.
– Universality of entitlements is always the best way to approach social services – and targeting should in most cases be rejected as self-defeating, right-wing bullshit and sabotage. It is always more efficient and always creates greater social cohesion if entitlements are universally available to everyone – with the cost of providing them clawed back from the wealthy through progressive income tax, estate tax etc. It’s what we used to do before Rogernomics and it made us a better and more equal society.
Of that $14 million dollar cost, are there receipts? It’d be fascinating to see who got to pocket our $14 million wouldn’t it?
I’ve had occasion to go into poor people’s homes as part of my job at that time and I saw things, and smelled things that were entirely preventable. Mum and the kids living in her grubby bed with the electric blanket on watching day time TV. Their house was ice cold and the dog she had to make a noise lest the meth addicts next door tried to break in, which they did on a regular basis, had been shitting up and down the hallway and had gone quite mad for lack of exercise.
Willis? Sound like you? You look quite plump and well healed is why I’m asking. Four kids. Six figure salary plus expenses for dad and the kiddies?
I understand. You’ve gone quite mad with power and greed haven’t you? Poor you. I bet you’re wising you were that young woman with her kids in the bed stained with dog shit don’t you? To be that stress free? No responsibilities? Not a care in the fucking world.
Private sector contractors?
Another savings for the budget.
To be honest, this is simply what New Zealanders have come to expect – a double double helping of administration – with chopped nuts, chocolate sauce, and sprinkles – whenever a new policy initiative slides into the hands of the bureaucracy.
National took lying to a whole new level at them last election and the CoC will turn on one another at the 2026 election trying to get re-elected. They will have the backing of the rich as they did last time, many who only care about themselves and exploiting and plundering our countries environment and anxious to get their dirty hands on any of our few remaining assets.
I can already hear the bald ones lies, blaming the coalition saying he had to make tradeoffs as that is what is required under MMP. But really our country is in a mess both socially and economically divided we need to get rid of the CoC they are toxic like poison.
No other GOVT has bypassed democratic process as much as luxons GOVT in NZ History. Fact!
