48 killed — 142 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes as well as medical and other facilities resulted in the death of 48 residents and the wounding of 142. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is at least 52,615 and that of the wounded is at least 118,752. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October, 2023 is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 206. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continued their relentless storming of the city of Jenin and the refugee camp.
Massive Israeli Army home demolitions in refugee camp: Tulkarem – Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continued their storming of the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, with 48 homes threatened with demolition in Nur Shams refugee camp. Between 08:00 and 12:00 families were forced to remove their belongings from their homes. The families were accompanied by Red Crescent and municipal crews to provide support for them and, at 13:50, the demolitions began on 19 apartment buildingss containing 50 homes.
Israeli Army attack – 1 child wounded: Nablus – 17:20–04:00, Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, stormed Azmut village of Azmut, wounding a 15-year-old boy: Mahmoud Hani Fathi Hawamdeh.
Israeli Army attack – 1 child wounded: Nablus – 17:25, the Israeli Army stormed the city, wounding a 15-year-old boy, Sabri Imad Abu Khait, as well as taking prisoner two residents.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Bethlehem – 17:45, Israeli troops opened fire, from the Annexation Wall near Dar Salah village, wounding and hospitalising a man: Ahmed Anwar Abu Diya.
Home invasion and forced personal demolition: Jerusalem – 08:30, the Israeli Occupation forced a resident, Younis Odeh, to destroy his home in Silwan – or otherwise be forced to pay an extortionate sum to the Israeli Occupation demolition squads, who would be sent in to do it.
Home invasion and demolition: Ramallah – 10:20, Israeli Occupation forces destroyed the home of a villager, Imad Fathi Abu Aliya, in al-Mughayir.
Home invasions – economic and pastoral sabotage: Tubas – 10:10, Israeli forces demolished two homes, near the village of Ein al-Bayda in the North Jordan Valley, also destroying solar power panels, serving the the whole residential complex. Israeli soldiers also destroyed livestock shelters as well as water–storage tanks.
Home invasion and demolition: Qalqiliya – 13:20, the Israeli Army demolished a house in al-Funduq village.
Home invasion: Salfit – 02:00–04:10, Israeli troops raided the town of al-Zawiya and invaded a home.
Home invasion: Bethlehem – 21:25–04:40, the Israeli military raided the village of Umm Salamuna and invaded a house.
Home invasions and demolition – economic and pastoral sabotage: Hebron – 12:00, Israeli soldiers demolished 20 homes (seven of them were cave-dwellings) in the Masafer area of Yatta, as well as destroying six livestock shelters and eight rainwater-collection facilities and vandalising water-storage tanks.
Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.
Israeli Army robbery: Jenin – 18:20, Israeli Occupation forces seized two bulldozers and a tractor from a man, Hussein Rasmi Harsha, at work in the village of Zabada.
Israeli Army land occupation and population–control: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces carried out bulldozing works on the 2,000–hectare Ya’bad plain, surrounded by the Mevo Dotan and Hermesh settlements. Palestinian access to the whole area is denied by the Israeli Army.
