Victims 15 April–16 April 2025:

25 killed — 89 wounded

Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, resulted in the death of 25 residents and wounding of 89 others, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 51,025 with the total wounded at least 116,432. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is at least 91and, that of those injured, is more than 209. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Humanitarian Situation Update #280

Intensive military operations, displacement orders, the blockade on the entry of all aid and commercial supplies and shrinking humanitarian space are driving what is likely the worst humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.

Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.

Israeli Army attack – 2 wounded – 1 taken prisoner: Jenin – 21:55, Israeli Occupation forces, continuing their storming of the city and the refugee camp, shot and wounded two residents:Muhammad Faleh Muhammad Abu al-Rab, and his son, Ahmad. One other person was taken prisoner.

Israeli Army attack – home invasions – 2 taken prisoner: Tulkarem – Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, continued to storm the city and the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, taking prisoner two residents while raiding homes.

Israeli Army attack – 2 young people wounded – 1 resident taken prisoner: Nablus – 10:45-15:45, the Israeli Army stormed the eastern neighbourhoods of Nablus, wounding a 15-year-old boy, Habib Muhammad Ahmad Judeh, and a 17-year-old youth, Ameed Musa Muhammad Abu Fayed. One resident was taken prisoner.

Israeli Army attack: Bethlehem – midnight, Israeli troops, firing live ammunition, stormed and patrolled the village of Beit Fajjar.

Home invasion: Jerusalem – 08:40, Israeli Occupation forces raided al-Sawahra al-Sharqiya and searched a home.

Home invasion and robbery: Tubas – 01:20, Israeli forces raided Tamoun and searched a house, seizing cash to the approximate value of $US 2,800 as well as gold jewellery, to the valued of around $US15,000.

Home invasions and population–control: Salfit – 21:45, the Israeli Army raided Kifl Haris, searching homes and interrogating 30 residents.

Home invasions: Bethlehem – 02:40, Israeli troops raided Husan village and searched a number of houses.

Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.

Israeli Army population–control: Tubas – 18:35, Israeli Occupation forces took prisoner a man, Moaz Sharif Sawafta, when he reported, as ordered, for interrogation at Israeli Military Intelligence.

Israeli Army mosque violation – population–control: Hebron – morning, the Israeli Army closed the Ibrahimi Mosque to worshipers, enabling settlers to perform Passover rituals there.

Occupation settler vandalism: Salfit – Israeli Occupation settlers invaded the Khallet al-Shanara area, north of Kafr al-Dik, and vandalised agricultural facilities.

Occupation settler violence – vandalism – plunder and pastoral sabotage: Jericho – 17:00, Israeli settlers invaded the Wadi al-Qelt area, west of Jericho, and assaulted a working shepherd: Sami Yasser Suleiman Nujoom. The settlers stole 250 sheep and smashed the shepherd’s mobile phone.

Occupation settler terrorism: Jericho – evening, Occupation settlers terrorised the Arab Al-Maliha community in the al-Mo’arajat area, moving and menacing people close to their homes.

Occupation settler violence – plunder and pastoral sabotage: Bethlehem – Israeli Occupation settlers beat–up a shepherd, Mustafa Ibrahim Abayat, in the village of Kisan and stole a number of sheep.
