A proper government using its nous would have a raft of things like this under trial, not leave it to the vague vagaries of business people and predatory banks, either and/or. I may be wrong, they may have been involved, and if so we need a report presented to interested, informed local citizens and a summary of lessons learned to prevent a recurrence. I believe in discrimination in this case, the interested citizens would be long-term pakeha and also Maori who more than anybody have a vital interest in such matters.
