FBI ‘found evidence Covid was lab leak but was not allowed to brief president’

The FBI found evidence suggesting that Covid-19 was caused by a lab leak but were not allowed to brief the president, it has been claimed.

Jason Bannan, a doctor of microbiology and former senior scientist at the FBI, has dedicated more than a year of his life to discovering the origins of Covid.

But despite being the only US national intelligence agency to conclude that a lab leak was likely, the FBI and Bannan were snubbed from a National Intelligence Council briefing with Joe Biden, it has been claimed.

Biden had ordered an urgent investigation in May 2021 by US intelligence agencies and national laboratories to identify whether the virus had been transferred from an animal to a human or had escaped from a Chinese laboratory.

I have always been open to the possibility of zoonosis to explain how Covid came to be.

The Wet Markets of China have always been a deep concern when it comes to a novel virus spillover between species. This potential spillover grows daily as massive industrial scale farming of wild animals builds apace as large Commercial Ag Business Corporations push local farmers out of the agricultural industry for Monocultural harvests.

These farmers are left to only harvest the wild animal trade for a meagre living as China’s weird devotion to feasting at the table of Kubla Khan drives a market for exotic meats.

This barely regulated trade driven by desperation creates the perfect environment for species transfer and demands far more focus on stopping those large Commercial Ag Business Corporations pushing local farmers out of the agricultural industry for Monocultural harvests, (and the basic welfare of the animals) in the first place.

That species cross over however ha not been as proven as the above article claims it to be.

The counter argument has far more weight to it that the lab leak is STILL the best explanation of how Covid came about…

Did COVID come from an animal market? Here’s what the new evidence really tells us

Proponents of the market hypothesis have been aggressively vocal in recent weeks. In August, an anonymous editorial in a leading medical journal talked about the “hubris needed to underpin alternative hypotheses” and “fanciful ideas … more in keeping with popular movies”.

A commentary in another journal lamented that scientists were being harassed for rejecting the lab leak hypothesis. With breathtaking hypocrisy, the same commentary then attacked a junior researcher who favours that hypothesis, dismissing her work as “conjecture, correlation and anecdote”.

We can at least agree that the virus was present in the Wuhan market. Samples collected from market stalls and drains in early January 2020 contain SARS-CoV-2 genetic material. A recent analysis of this material, published in the journal Cell, claimed to show that the common ancestor of the viruses at the market was the common ancestor of the whole pandemic.

That sounds compelling, until you realise that all of these samples were collected weeks after the pandemic began and none came from a live animal. Unaccountably, no samples were collected before the market was closed and the animals destroyed. Primarily for this reason, most commentators – including me – consider these latest results suggestive but not definitive.

The lack of samples from animals is a problem. No one believes that this virus originated in Wuhan. The natural reservoirs of SARS-like coronaviruses are horseshoe bats, and no infected colonies have been found within 1,500km of the city.

So it must have been brought into the market from somewhere. Yet no SARS-CoV-2 has been found along the supply chains for the animals sold there.

Could a person rather than an animal have brought SARS-CoV-2 into the market in late 2019? That’s entirely possible. Many of the viruses near the base of the SARS-CoV-2 ancestral tree came from people with no links to the market. Several, including a cluster from Guangdong Province, were not even from Wuhan.

Despite the many uncertainties and unanswered questions, it would be much easier to accept the market hypothesis if the pandemic had begun in one of the hundreds (or possibly thousands – no one seems to know for sure) of other Chinese cities that had similar markets in 2020.

After all, the 2002 outbreak of the original SARS coronavirus (a very close relative of SARS-CoV-2) began in a market selling civet cats and other animals in, as it happens, Guangdong.

Yet the epicentre of the COVID pandemic was less than 20 kilometres from China’s pre-eminent coronavirus research lab, the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That is an extraordinary coincidence, and you’d need compelling evidence that the market was the source (or that the lab wasn’t) to dismiss it. The evidence we have simply isn’t that strong.

That said, there is no evidence – at least, not that the Chinese authorities have shared – that SARS-CoV-2 was present in the Wuhan Institute of Virology, though some closely related viruses were. I cannot know if it was or wasn’t, but it didn’t have to be.

Scientists from the institute went on coronavirus-hunting expeditions to places such as Guangdong. Scientists from the Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention – just a five-minute walk from the market – were making their own expeditions, too. There’s an obvious and plausible alternative route to the first human case.

…Mark Woolhouse, Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at The University of Edinburgh is correct in his analysis.

The first article proclaiming a slam dunk for the Wet Market theory simply doesn’t stack up, we are still left with the real possibility that the Lab Leak theory is still the best explanation, that the Lab leaked TO THE WET MARKET, and that from the Wet Market it infected other animals and bounced back to humans.

Sometimes, there really are conspiracy theories that work out to be true…

Yet as far back as March 2020, on a bare minimum of evidence, the idea that a lab was involved in any way was already being dismissed as a conspiracy theory.

Two years ago, one of the most strident proponents of the market hypothesis claimedthat his latest research “lays to rest the idea that the virus escaped from a laboratory”. An author of the new analysis in Cell says alternative explanations are “fanciful” and “absurd”.

Who is all this bombast supposed to win over? Not scientists who can read the research papers, take note of the caveats and make their own judgments. Not politicians who have taken an ideological stance on the issue, particularly in the US. And not the intelligence agencies who many believe are our best hope for getting at the truth.

I have studied the origins of human viruses for 25 years but, having examined the evidence, I still don’t know how the COVID pandemic began. I do know that the question is important and that debating it should be encouraged, not stifled.

…TDB will continue following this vital debate.

I think that now Republicans have control of inquiries on the Hill, you will see a close focus on the Covid Lab Leak, especially the connections between American Private Covid research and what happened in Wuhan.

Over 7million lives were lost because of Covid and an enormous amount of social damage caused. We need to know the truth of how it started.

    • It’s a fair question and the answer is quite prosaic:

Both Italy and Iran were hit first because both saw an influx of thousands of Chinese contract workers from Wuhan, AFTER the Chinese government had closed the Wuhan borders for internal travel.

In the case of Iran, a Chinese company was contracted to do a major road building project. In Milan, lots of leather and textile businesses had been bought by the Chinese years earlier and they used Chinese labour to run them.

  1. The reason so few researchers want to acknowledge the possibility of a lab leak is because doing so will earn them an unacknowledged ban on all funding from Chinese sources.

Also, if the virus was made in a lab, the scientists’ future research will face much greater public scrutiny – which will be a big hassle for them.

    • Correct. Also the Wuhan lab had funding from the U$ for gain-of- function research. It’s in no scientific researchers aim to stop funding.so lab leak theory immediately got dismissed as conspiracy for those reasons.

  2. Makes sense it was the FBI, the US domestic intelligence agency, as it did come out of Fort Dettrick or one of the American regime’s other biological weapons labs in the US and around the world.

  3. You won’t give it a rest, will you?
    It’s not a theory.
It’s an evidence-free ideologically driven fantasy built completely on suspicion.
    Not evidence.

  4. While it is a shame that many dried and many lives have been ruined it showed that the World can work together to combat a threat to its very existence. It also showed the terrible effect of slowing down the economy and curbing travel too quickly this will be an important lesson if we are to Combat global warming without wrecking what we tare trying to save.

    • > it showed that the World can work together to combat a threat to its very existence
Absolutely untrue. S**thole countries like the US and India collaborated to breed new COVID variants as quickly as possible to make simply crushing the virus, as the actually successful policies of human-run nations like China and Vietnam succeeded in doing, impossible.

    • Once again Jacinda bashing .Lets just take a pause and look at what the outcome for farmers and NZ if jacinda had adopted your slack type of response to the mico bovis virus that was attacking our dairy and beef herds at around the same time as covid .If she had said just let it run ,what would the outcome have been .
We would have destroyed the dairy and beef industry in NZ along with all the other businesses linked to farm supply and services .Instead she took the proactive approach and met it head on and invested close to a billion in attempting to eradicate the virus in NZ .
You anti Jacinda people need to take a look at things like this and thank her for actually saving the NZ economy twice ,and the lives of thousands in her time as PM .Imagine how many farmers would have taken their own lives due to the loss of their farms and income ,possably more than were taken by covid .

  5. I’m pleased you’ve published this article, because it needs shouting from the rooftops.

For me the lab leak theory was always the more likely, despite the fact that one could be banned from social media for mentioning it. Consider:
    > Patient zero happened a stone’s throw from the labs.
    > Those labs had a history of leaks and general mismanagement
    > There were no infected intermediate species to show how the virus had hopped across to humans
    > One of those labs was researching the humanization of animal corona viruses – an exact match for what actually occurred. Research that has been banned years earlier in the US because of the risk, yet Fauci & Co thought they knew better and paid the Chinese to do it.

But there are implications in the article that go way beyond the lab leak story:

    > How were some of the worlds most acclaimed virologists ‘persuaded’ to pen a letter to Nature and The Lancet saying the virus couldn’t possibly have originated in the lab? Especially when the private emails of some of them were saying the opposite! (This smells like the letter 40+ CIA officials wrote saying Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation.)

    > Who has the authority within the US government to withhold information from the President? Who is really running the US Federal government?

The whole thing reads like a Jason Bourne plot!

    • .. and as you probably know there’s a tonne more stacked up behind and around the points you make. Can I just correct a subtle point that cracked me up the second I read it, re: ‘ (This smells like the letter 40+ CIA officials wrote saying Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation.)’ The letter did not say it ‘was’, but something weasely like “has all the hallmarks”, yet every report from that second on was as you note… and that’s how they do it.

  6. The zoological origin of Covid-19 has been effectively disproven beyond all reasonable doubt since the original virus has not been in any species – remember for the zoological theory to work, there had to have been a pool of the original virus that both spread and mutated sufficiently to infect humans. No such virus has ever been discovered, which all but rules it out as a potential origin. Add to that there is a patented gene sequence in the Covid-19 virus, and you have a smoking gun, since you cannot patent something that is natural. Indeed, they patented this sequence specifically to track mutations and take ownership of the various “products” that it is used in – i.e. as a deliberate gene marker. This was known almost from day 1 btw – they have been deliberately lying to us for at least 4 years about Covid-19 origins.

    • Antony Fauci should live out his remaining days in the deepest darkest dungeon on Earth. He is not only intimately involved in the creation of Covid-19, he was of course the principle “expert” and advisor for how to “stop the spread”. He profited massively from the vaccine due his big-pharma stock investments – amazing how you only recommend something you are invested in. When you are connected to origin, prevention, treatment, and “cure”… well coincidence only goes so far.

  7. ‘it is a shame that many dried ”
Trevor Darling it is even more of a shame that you never check your spelling.
In a previous post you have a ‘scrape’ between David Seymour and Winston Peters and I remember when you wanted the Greens to ‘get ride’ of people.
Sweetheart I appreciate that you do not think spelling and Grammar are important. I dare say it is part of that ‘book learning’ that hinders your creativity.
But you have to realise it does make you look incoherent and careless.
Take one of your earlier efforts.
‘My grip is those Maori that think themselves as superior or more connected to the land due to them being here first. ‘
If you are gripping Maori Trevor I expect they will be annoyed. I think you should let go.
Please do not be angry with this advice. I really do not want you to give the impression that you are just an ignorant, ranting old fart who is too careless to check what he is writing.
    Here is another example.
‘You are talking about a world you know little about I suspect. Most rich people go through a period were luck takes over .’
Now let me edit this for you Trevor.
‘I suspect you are talking about a world of which you know little. Most rich people go through a period WHERE luck takes over.’
Now isn’t that better? Mind you, in an earlier post you stated people are wealthy through hard work rather than luck. It helps your argument if you are consistent. I mean you do not want people to think you are a contradictory old windbag do you?
Please note the address below Trevor and know that we at the Academy are always ready to help you with correction. Just ask your friends in the hierarchy of the National Party’
    Your dear friend Felicity

    • Jesus wept ,like myself the poor bugger was probabaly educated under years of national party education policy where it was more important to ban Te reo in schools and to learn that greed was the way to go .Spelling and grammer was the domain of the well off .

    • Thank tou for reading my posts so diligently.I will try to be better with my spelling. In my defense I do have dyslexia which has been a curse since Grammar School days . Fortunately it did not hold me back from working hard and doing well . When in business I hired someone to write for me.Now retired I cannot afford that luxury so thank you again for your effort..My main aim is to enlightening those on the left the true path to follow.

  8. ‘My main aim is to enlightening those on the left the true path to follow.’
Which is to vote for your classmates from Grammar School.

  9. Oh the blame game continues .We have just had an enquiry into covid which we now shelved because it pointed out what a great job we did to keep people safe until a vaccine was developed and a large % of the population was imunised so protecting the un willing as well as them selves .The reason it was swept under the rug and a new one started was because it did not come out in support of the river of filth party and order the lynching of Jacinda .
So we will waste further millions on continuing the witch hunt to appease the filthy few .
