She probably believes in right wing politics and neoliberalism. How businesses are responsible for keeping the economy going and not the people. More evidence to the contrary…

200 more redundancies at kinleith today .National have us back on track in the race to the bottom
Yep just read that Gordon, thanks National promoters of business destroyers of lives.
People like Babs don’t believe in anything, except what the older guys say down at the bowling club which is pretty much “the only reliable source of news is Newstalk ZB”, and of course her subsequent feelings, which in her mind become opinions, which when repeated by similarly reptilian wrinklies become mainstream fact.
In her mind anyway.
But it never took much work to ignite a walnut with a flamethrower.
She looks old enough to be a boomer!
She’s the type of boomer that gives all of us boomers a bad name!
This boomer is 100% behind the tangata whenua cause, against the bigotry and racism of the ACT-led government.
And I’m preparing a submission to the select committee – let’s tell these right wingers they’ve got it all wrong.
But – keep your submission simple, remember right wing politicians are not very bright, and don’t use swear words – the little snowflakes have fragile egos.
They will interview a hundred people till they find the sound bite they want.
Yep, and that’s why ms TV News is at rock bottom. A sound bite is not reflective of any kind of reality, just a view of a single person, in this case, one who doesn’t know ‘what the fuss is about’. Could be an ‘innocent’ sound bite. Oh … some ‘ordinary’ woman of the boomer generation gives her view, for what its worth. But could be part of a larger narrative, aimed at the British audience (and its global outreach), that there’s no real issues with Britain’s former colony in the South Pacific, were not responsible for the ills of the past, and that the Commonwealth is still in jolly good shape, all just a storm in a teacup. At the very least, the BBC could have interviewed 5 or people, each with a different view. But that’s not the model. And that’s why ms TV News is a crock of shit.
‘I don’t really know what the Maori are arguing about’. all right you are ignorant.
‘They seem to want more and more and more’.
HANG ON !
You just said you don’t really know what the argument is about SO how do you know they want more….Oh all right Babs.
Time to take your pills, take a nap and dream of the days when you were young and natives knew their place.
When the belly’s full, all else is brain farts.

‘A way of life’: farmers in Westminster express fears for their futures

So, no need to eat then. Whew! That’s a saving.

Well if you want to make it big you just have open your mouth and it dribbles out. I see Babs has made it on BBC, The rising Nepal and the Saudi Gazette!
I was one of those tau iwi from Otautahi to be at this deeply moving historical event. This has never been about a conversation but about Seymour cannibalising the National Party and Luxon couldn’t care less. If he had cared he would never have allowed it to be in the coalition agreement with ACT, he would have known this would be deeply divisive. Some bills have two weeks for submissions and this one has 6 months, six months of advertising by ACT pushing their racist view forward. We will not see the English translation of the original Maori document, for all to see, against Seymour’s bill and its principles!
Should be a warning to anyone wanting to make an agreement with Aotearoa that this is the Maori wording but we might translate it differently later on.
We may ask ourselves “Why doesn’t Babs get it?” For that matter, why don’t Christopher Luxon and David Seymour get it? Why don’t colonialists in general get it? The answer is “Because they are colonialists”. They have never been exposed to nationalist sentiment and they have no conception of what nationalism means. The whole colonialist system has worked to conceal it from their gaze. Therefore when it appears right before their eyes one hundred thousand strong they are bewildered. When finally forced to confront the phenomenon they label it “Maori nationalism”. Except that Maori nationalism is New Zealand nationalism and New Zealand nationalism is Maori nationalism. There can be no other kind of nationalism in Aotearoa. When it comes down to it, this is nationalism, pure and simple.
Does Winston Peters get it? Throughout the early part of his career he leaned towards “Maori nationalism”. As a lawyer arguing property rights for tangata whenua. Then, and most crucially, as an outcast from the “National” Party he formed New Zealand First which became de facto “Maori nationalist” after the 1996 election. At that point Peters was already recognised as an “economic nationalist”. He could have gone on to be a political nationalist as well if the Shipley coup had not led to the collapse of the coalition agreement made with Jim Bolger followed by the mass desertion of New Zealand First Maori members of parliament. After that traumatic experience Peters swung away from his taha Maori, relying instead on the electoral support of aggrieved European voters and in particular the elderly, anti-vaxers and so on. The defection of the tight five marked Peters’ disillusionment with nationalism and his reversion to a purely colonialist political line. So much so that he seems to have abandoned even the economic nationalism that had guided his career from the time of the Muldoon administration.
I am sure that Peters does get New Zealand nationalism, because he has been there, gone to the edge and turned back into the colonialist fold. Yet he remains sceptical, believing that nothing solid will emerge from the raruraru over the Treaty Principles Bill. He lacks faith in the ability of the people of Aotearoa to hold fast to nationalist principles. As a pragmatist and careerist he will stick with the colonialist establishment domestically and with the Anglo-American imperialist system globally, because he believes that is what the rest of us will do once the shouting dies down.
We need to prove Peters wrong, and at the same time we need to educate Babs in what it means to be a New Zealander.
Indeed. Peters is all on board with selling NZ out to foreigners.

See reason Mo. It’s a UN-led initiative. Gotta be somewhere for all those migrants from drought-ridden African lands to go to
Babs will never be educated, she’s one one the 6%ers. Too late for the old duck but so what these idiots are everywhere and she would have been recognised for who she is the white world over.
Truth is there’s probably a lot more like Babs … just don’t know what the fuss is about. Ask her where the Kanaks are from and what their issue with French colonial powers is and you’d draw a blank.
And of course you gotta ask why the BBC has run with this angle: journalism’s pejorative to present the other side of the argument, an editorial bias, pandering to their viewers and the wider historical context of British colonialism?
Is she even a NZ/AOer? How long has she lived here? Does she know any of the statistics about loss of full time jobs for all and child-snatching by race, by government? Why should one person who can’t even open their eyes in the shade so having poor vision be suddenly so important? I’m more important than her – my feelings are hurt! Why didn’t they ask someone who thinks about reality and doesn’t just recite the cant that is received wisdom here in Kiwiland amongst the determined know-little?
Unfortunately there’s no shortage of Babs out there.
