Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. The morass that our educated world is in – why? The large amount of tertiary educated university graduates – do they learn what we really need to know or is it just vanity projects all around that bring in good money to the achiever??

I think we need more questioning about purpose.
What about trying the socratic method? Is there anyone out there with heft that can move practical education along? We don’t need more playway, sitting on bean bags etc as our situation becomes more critical. But how to change – everyone in my family goes along with the schemes and jobs that bring in their good money. And just look on in the main at others distress as things decline. Not bad people but programmed.

So questioning – finding a new way a new standard how?
The Socratic Method involves a shared dialogue between teacher and students. The teacher leads by posing thought-provoking questions. Students actively engage by asking questions of their own. The discussion goes back and forth.

What does Socratic questioning look like?
Socratic questioning involves asking numerous open-ended questions about a topic; when Socrates did it, he would assume an ignorant mindset to compel the other person into thinking about answers. He would also use follow-up questions to make the other person contrast and compare their own beliefs and ideas.16 Āku 2024

  2. Now who really talks on this anymore? Futtling fools. A condemnation of all of us old Leftists, with our penuckle club here.

Now, Chris Trotter and the art of the possible. The Left is about what is needed. The twot gave up on climate change because he didn’t think anything could be done about it. So he lost the goal for the tactic.

    Christ indeed help us.

  3. Productivity. A nice long bit on it and we should have learned something at the end about this pernickety thing that we can never get right according to some standard or slave -driver somewhere.

And note at the end that RNZ that’s Radio NZ invites you to send them a note of what you would like explained and they may put their efforts to getting the good oil on it.
    Cheers.
