NEW POLL: National crash – see why getting Talbot Poll leak right was so important

I have been attacking the manner in which the lazy (and let’s not forget stupid) manner in which the current Labour Party staffers have gone about leaking the internal Talbot Polls BECAUSE the Talbot Polls were telling a completely different story to the Roy Morgan and TU Polls.

The internal Talbot Polls (that used to be leaked onto the Blogs but are now leaked to pay walled News Media) showed that the Left Block was only behind the Right Block by 2 points.

Because of the jaw dropping incompetence of the Labour Party Staffers, this new TU Poll drops and surprises everyone.

It shouldn’t.

National – 34.9% (down 4.1)

- Sponsor Promotion -

Labour – 30.3% (up 3.6)

Greens – 10.4% (down .6)

ACT – 9.7% (up .9)

NZF – 7.6% (up .8)

Maori Party – 3% (down 2)

The country is going to hell in a hand basket and this Government’s naked corruption for their Donor class has shocked most good people.

This Government’s race war starting hatred and contempt has disgusted most good people.

This Government’s anti-Māori, anti-Treaty, anti-environment, anti-Renter, anti-worker and anti-beneficiary agenda horrifies most good people.

Most good people are turning away in shock at what this new Government represents and they want a different politics.

That’s what the TU Poll and the internal Talbot Polls are showing.

Kiwis are good buggers, this Government are a pack of cruel pricks – I believe in the goodness of us as a people over the venal corruption of this Government.

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

  1. All fucking moot if labour, greens and TPM don’t come out and state all the dirty mine contracts awarded by this corrupt government are null and voided when reelected.

    If they don’t I ain’t voting again.

    • 100% correct they’re pathetic. just looking after their little money gravy train.Cheeks of the same neoliberal arse that shits on us.

    • That requires the courage and vision of John A. Lee. The unapologetic socialist force behind the great welfare state that put labour and New Zealand reputation on the world map as innovative social reformers. I like Chippy but so far the only courage that comes within cooeee of Lee, is from McNulty.

      • Why do you like Chippy there is literally nothing to like at this point. He’s worse than useless and a huge disappointing blank hole, the twin of Luxon.

      • John A Lee has risen out of my ignorance to a star but though I have many of his books I still don’t know the whole of him. Someone pointed out that it was his determined work that got the state housing through not Savage’s. Though in the end it was Savage sticking in there while tragically terminally ill that got the social welfare package through. So many people have pushed for good over the centuries and we who come after take it for granted. Now I’m old I realise this but think better late than never.

      • Given how much more we have seen of Kieran compared to Chippy I honestly wonder (and this could definitly be copium on my part) that he’s been privately selected as the next leader and they’re waiting to make it official at the same time as they roll out their tax plan mid next year

    • Good, one less single issue voter to worry about!
But you will still moan and groan in social media Alien when National get back in, professional complainers like you Gordon Walker, Wheel etc etc can’t stop, even if they vote or don’t eh?

    • Labour should commit using fast tracking to re-implement any legislation this government repealed with it, it’s time to fight fire with fire!

  2. Luxon is selling up his investment properties -rat leaving a sinking ship? Plenty of sinking ships and almost sinking ferries at the moment. As to dirty mine contracts, we will be left to clean up the mess of bankrupted companies when the market for coal dries up.

  3. Instead of violently zig zagging from left to right ad infinitum in what is mostly in-house opera, edited by 1news, piling legislation on top of legislation in what amounts to a vast, uninformed echo chamber, perhaps we should look at how to achieve a more direct and transparent government. Anything electronic is hackable so imo voting should be a manual thing. Many doubts are being expressed over the corruptibility of artificial intelligences, the thinking machines which gobble vast amounts of energy while processing data streams from sources ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, thus the conservative turn against a globo homo government. What I like about your blog, Martin, is the tone of outrage against anything faintly sadistic, which probably renders you human. My thoughts are that the hon.Winston Peters should chair some UN meetings.

The most corrupt government we have ever had in my lifetime, and I have seen quite a few.

They are so arrogant and smug that they don’t even care to try and hide it anymore. It is as one of their former campaign managers (Steven Joyce) used to say: Business as usual.

Their Goebbels machine is directly funded and organized by the Atlas network and keeps the sheeple in ignorance of what is actually happening to them and to the country.

My thoughts too. Not only the most corrupt, but also the most incompetent. They have no idea of what their actual task is, and that is to govern a country for all, not just the “entitled” few.

The best Government that money can buy

There was some interesting news in a recent Radio New Zealand article where links between donations to National, Act and NZ First and entities who are getting the chance to have their fast track projects being prioritised under the Fast Track Approvals Bill were reported on.

    • ” Kiwis are good buggers, ” Oh God. Anyway, moving on.
      @ jay11
If people knew just how corrupt both literally and morally ( I suppose moral corruption is also a literal corruption. ) dead natzo’s would be exhumed just so as people could take turns at kicking their worthless bones down the streets, roads and paddocks.
      Remember Kiddies.
AO/NZ primary industry is exporting agrarian produce to northern hemisphere markets. I.e. *Fresh foods ( And wool! ) to a winter bound EU. We have nothing else but what we do is both noble and sustaining.
Farmer numbers are about a hand full. Urban numbers are millions. Also 14 multi-billionaires, 3118 multi-millionaires each with a starting gate figure of $50 mil and now, thanks no doubt to kiwi billionaires and kiwi millionaires lapping up Gold Coast sunshine we have Australian banks hiding inside Good-Bugger once were Kiwi banks stealing $180.00 a second NET 24/7/365 making those same banks the second most profitable in the world, second only to Canada.
      * Lets mention the anomaly of the exporting of agrarian goodies to the teeming populations of the UK and Europe.
Lets ponder the weird connections between ww2 and watties, for example, and sundry other industrial crooks now chocking off farmer access to those pre war markets that built Nu Zillind’s cities and infrastructure just to hide their crimes of morality shall we?
War made shipping a perilous enterprise so public funds were made available to establish Nu Zillind non agrarian industry, farmer money in fact, which made the goods we used to buy then import from the UK, the USA and Europe. Two-way trade if you will. You scratch my ball sack at the Canterbury Club and I’ll scratch yours, that sort of thing.
But ah, them Germans aye. After ze Vor unt ze gerrmans were smacked down we had pathetic rink a dink industry that was now well used to bathing in rorted farmer-exports derived money so our *titans of industry ( thanks *ronnie brierly) we’re going to unlatch off that highly productive money-tit.
And now, here we are. Being artificially fucked over because Big Daddy doesn’t want to be outed as a half-penny mafioso who’s families have the blood, guts and the money of others staining their taking little pink fingers. Aye Boys?
What we’re going through. What we’re about to be subjected to. The hardship we’re about to experience and are experiencing is solely and entirely about dodgy old kiwi crooks desperately trying to hide the crimes of their ancestors and by extension, themselves.
There’s only one politician I trust. Yep. One. Not two or maybe three, but one.
Chloe Swarbrick of the bloody dead-end Green Party. But don’t get me wrong. Green Party = mostly good but it’s tainted by MMP’s logical fallacy genes and an hsbc corporate minion’s left a skid mark on it. Chloe Swarbrick should become the leader of Labour THEN amalgamate The Green party into it. Farmer money Maori Mana empowered by the Treaty and Labour as the broader political centre point headed up by Chloe Swarbrick leading a charge with unionised workers up the natzos and their coagulation of bleached privateer arse holes.

Hence why National and the right wing along with Neo liberal labour do a hit job Democrat and Republican usa style every chance they get. Also why Labour wont do epsom style mmp deals. The Green parties policy platform leaves everyone else’s for dead.

People have their own choice to visit The Standard, you posting comments and a link to TS is overkill.
Most people on here have either been banned or quite rightly refused to visit.
Why it’s still existing is a mystery, Labour must be funding it well, only about 7-8 regular posters on there just chatting with each other and trying to out woke each other.

  5. Christopher Luxon makes Jenny Shipley look competent and John Key slightly genuine!
This govt has to be the worst and most incompetent in the political history of NZ.

    • Yes…totally agree Phil…

Self promoting Luxon continuously talks up a big game, but the reality is, he hasn’t got a fucking clue…self praise is no recommendation.

It’s starting to unravel already and they are only one year in. They have now cut their way into an economic death spiral of which there is no escape.
The only way out would be to apologise to Labour and the people of New Zealand for stating that they are the best economic managers, (which clearly they are not), and admit that, like the ferries decision, they got it all horribly wrong…

Of course ‘group think’, hubris and massively big unwarranted egos will prevent that from happening.

End result…we are fucked!! If people think that if what The Coalition of Chaos has now set in train is going to somehow magically make things come right, then they are sadly delusional.

Power gained through propaganda inevitably ends in….disaster. This government is living proof!

      • Ill get my knight hood next year and fuck off then .Thats why im collecting all that tax free money ready to fuck off and at the same time we are moving to make money laundering much easier .Modi says I can buy the tajmahal

    • Ardern (the socialist now accepting a archaic class reward from Mr William Wales) had a super majority and did nothing. Other than Muldoon, Ardern was the worst PM in living memory. She could talk and that was it.

      • Jacinda would never visit a flood stricken area and pretend to be sympathetic and in the next breath attack their new hospital build

      • At least she earned hers by showing leadership when shit happened .Try leading a nation through a massive health crisis or dealing with a fuckwitt murdering 50 plus people and a volcano killing 20 plus .
Luxon and mitchel tried to copy her by flying into Dunedin and talking shit then closing down the new hospital then flew to Auckland to give a heroes welcome to a bunch of cowards who scampered home as soon as shit happened .
Luxon is a 3 year old compared to Jacinda .

    • I never thought I’d be longing for the Key years, but never doubt National and ACT’s ability to race to the bottom

  6. Interesting reversal by this polling group.
Could it be something to do with a change since their methodology and ethics are being reviewed.
Wonder if the Roy Morgan poll is kosher.

  7. As long as Labour remains ‘National Lite’ we are going to seesaw between centrist governments.
National ACT love licking corporate arse.
Labour is afraid not to (remember 2020 massive majority = popular support for social change. Initiative not taken because terror Labour is perceived as ‘socialist’.)
I leave the Greens out of this because fuck knows what will happen with them.
Actually TPM is the only party I can see with an agenda capable of restoring a fair society.

  8. The CoC targets some new group each week with its war on the poor.

Last week it was Food Banks–lots of them had funding withdrawn with 3 DAYS Notice! It was not just well known Butterbean that got slammed. They have downgraded lunches for school kids–though Incel Dave would rather end them altogether, attacked disabled, Respite Care and NGOs that offer a wide range of services, introduced official union busting and denied contractors their day in Court to prove they are employees. I won’t write the whole list.

When I went to our regular slot at Kaitaia Market this morning at 6am, the Awanui carpark was full of older vans next to the ablution block–guess what…these dozen vehicles are home for their occupants. They move on during the day but that is the night time spot.

The CoC is hammering working class New Zealanders and we have to take them on, not just wait till 2026.

  9. “It is funny how you can say Labour were shit when in power’
I said Labour backed away from being socialist Trevor. I said Labour failed to use popular support. Please do not put words in my mouth.
What do you want the Labour Party to be Trevor? A truly Socialist Party supporting a robust welfare state?
Is that what you want of the National Party and ACT?
Please try to be a little more coherent Trevor.

  10. If Labourccannot prove the socialist dream can work for both workers and bosses who can .
Labour had a once in a voting period to prove it couldhappen .They had no other party dragging them down like what is happening with National now. .They did nothing about tax or helping the poor .They took away the children’s commissioner they tried to grease up to the Maori but did nothing for them they spent a fortune on mental health but normal advances. They had nothing concrete to go to the voters with .It’s biggest move was to offer GST of fruit and veg . They were a waste of space and deserved to lose .The precious St Jacinda could see this coming and baled not wanting their copy book soiled with a failure.
NZ was left in a mess and now National are left to prove the socialist dream does not work

  11. She left for overseas where her daughter would know longer be threatened by the right wing supporters.

    • yep – a sad indictment on our so called Conservative Party – the only way out of this is to actually modernise our democracy and ban Party politics and donations to candidates – treating Corporations as citizens and giving them rights has to go – I’ve been recharged by The Great Simplification by Nate Hagens – “Tales from the Carbon Pulse | Round Table 11” is a must watch for all rational humans
