Why Sir John Key thinks Donald Trump should win the US election

Former Prime Minister Sir John Key is fascinated by US politics and not only thinks Donald Trump will win the election in November, on balance he thinks he should. In a rare sit down interview he told Samantha Hayes why.

Sir John Key has spent a great deal of time thinking about the 2024 race to the White House.

“I love politics anyway in general and US politics is always very, very exciting and different. And it’s particularly so at the moment.”

The former New Zealand Prime Minister also has skin in the game as a director of California based tech company – Palo Alto – and as a homeowner in Hawaii.

As Americans head to the polls to decide between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Sir John has revealed to Stuff he thinks Donald Trump is the best candidate for the job.

“I think he’s better for the economy.

It should surprise no one that an arsehole like ponytail pulling John Key who changed the law to allow the GCSB to spy on NZ citizens and green lighted the mass surveillance powers against us should support another arsehole like Trump.

The truth is Key loves despots, when he’s not sucking Trump he’s blowing Xi..

Merry Xmas Mr Key – your friend, President Xi

Many politicians in the West see China’s President Xi Jinping as a dangerous dictator who has scrapped term limits, allowing him to rule the world’s most populous country for life.

But former New Zealand Prime Minister John Key calls President Xi a friend – and says he is on the Chinese leader’s Christmas card list.

…a better question would be, ‘are there any rich arsehole despots John Key doesn’t like’

Why is Key allowed back into the media to suck up to more Authoritarian leaders?

If I wanted to listen an arsehole, I’d fart.

  1. ” Why is Key allowed back into the media to suck up to more Authoritarian leaders? ”

Because the shyster is a despot himself and seeing how Trump operates means in his mind it exonerates his own corruption and subverting the rule of law as Prime minister for eight years.

Many in Key’s MSM still hold a torch for this individual while ignoring his behaviour when he was in office and will at every opportunity still give him headline coverage as if he is still somehow still relevant.

His ego and arrogance won’t allow him to just simply butt out and is a constant reminder of how bad he really was.

    • Yes the whole thing was very odd really….who gives a fuck if Key has been having flying lessons and bought a helicopter to fly to the golf course in.

It was a weird interview to be having and an apropos of what one might ask?

The conclusions drawn would have to be that National Party’s internal polls have them tanking and he’s ‘doing his bit’ to try and shore up and invigorate the sycophantic nostalgic reminiscing brigade.

His thoughts on the U.S election…(yawn)..were naive and shallow ..bordering on infantile. What on earth is he thinking?

I still don’t get what people ever saw in him…people who say he is ‘charismatic’ clearly need to get out more…. he’s about as authentic and genuine as a Chinese made Swanndri!

    • Mosa “ Why is Key allowed back into the media? “. .Allowed ? Or do the media seek him out to suit their activist agendas? Bill English has also sprouted again, apparently saying how he’d do things differently as PM. A bit late for that, and utterly pointless unless he’s trying to sanitise the Nats. He was always a boring little sod and it’s hard to see anyone wanting to read it apart from his wife and kids. Shyster Key had the msm eating out of his odious hand, and if their idea of “journalism “ is constantly presenting failed politicians as some sort of experts, then they do the New Zealanders a bigger disservice than they may have the nous to realise.

  2. Key is a cunning bastard.
As Prime Minister he sees National’s ship is about to hit the rocks and jumps overboard.
He dodges all the responsibility of government but can still continue to pull the National Party’s strings because none of his lackeys have the backbone to tell him he is a coward who ran from a fight.

  3. Key is so desperate for cash that he and Max are in business with NZs former biggest brothel owners .I wonder how many of their staff died from over doses and other causes of shortened life for people being exploited for sex .
Now the current government is going to prop up Max and the pimps by underwriting their new house builds so they can continue to fleece kiwis by keeping the prices up .Maybe Luxon is cashing up so he can jump on their bandwagon

  4. I take as much notice of Key as I did when Key said of his legacy that he couldn’t change the flag. Nothing of poverty or how he destroyed health, education or poverty. The best of Key is if we hear nothing from him or his Chow brothel relationship.

  5. Key is probably correct: If Americans vote with their wallet they will elect Trump.

This is because life was better under Trump and the working class have been suffering under Biden.

    • Ah no, life was not better under Trump and there is the economic data available to prove it. Of course Trump trolls will say the facts are all lies as usual.

  6. If there’s one film that encapsulates U$A politics in all its ludicrous, morally devoid, wondrously fabulous excesses and chrome plated pretensions it’s this one.
    Idiocracy.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiocracy
The concept of Idiocracy dates back to a concept Judge envisioned in 1996. Judge finished a script with the working title 3001 in 2001, rewriting the film a year later. Filming took place throughout 2004 at Austin Studios and other cities in Texas. Idiocracy serves as a social satire that touches on issues including anti-intellectualism, commercialism, consumerism, dysgenics, voluntary childlessness, and overpopulation.
One day it will be universally mandated that anyone who has aspirations of becoming a leader or a president or some other kind of cult-leader figure of a troupe of easily swayed minions they will first have to take a proper E, one that hasn’t been cut 46 times before it gets here, then to be put into a warm room full of playful pups and kittens then world peace would be guaranteed. We are after all merely meat packs powered by chemicals so lets change the recipe.
If we don’t try radicle approaches to the same old shit then this generation might be the last if we don’t stop doing the same things while expecting different results. Albert Einstein said that bit.
