Theft, burglary and robbery: Latest court data reveals surge in youth crime, and more offences per person

    • The number of charges is rising much more steeply than the number of people charged, meaning on average each offender is committing more offences
    • The biggest surges in the last year have been for court charges against young people, in particular for theft, burglary and robbery
    • There was a 41% increase in theft charges in court against young people, compared to last year

Fresh from announcing a decrease of crime in Central Auckland, we now see that the crime stats have actually been going up!

That’s because poverty entry, trauma, untreated mental health and an underfunded  corrections systems focused on punishment not rehabilitation.

This is a problem for Mark Mitchell who has promised to resign in the first year of crime doesn’t come down, well, it hasn’t come down!

Luxon was on TVNZ Breakfast this week joyfully laughing at how hard he is going to be on the gangs and I think when you look at the Police State over reach in all of this that we should take Chris at his word.

He doesn’t;t care about legal rights or human rights, he wants a confrontation with the Gnags because he personally hates them.

That means he is prepared to spend whatever necessary to create a Police State to satisfy his thirst for conflict with Gangs.

Luxon believes in the War on Drugs and is prepared to feed it no matter the social carnage it will bring.

We once thought he was joking and just trying to butch up for the election by claiming he would demand 500 armed police enter a gang tangi to remove a gang patch, but I think we are starting to understand that he will absolutely do this.

    • and we have not released the automatic AK 47 back onto the market yet .Wait till that happens ,guns are killing kiwis daily well done Mitch .Mind you he was a gun for hire in a past life so thinks its ok to kill people .

      • Yes and Luxona flakey has stated that Mark Mitchell is “doing an absolutely fantastic job”….

Hmmm…let’s see?….this is despite him not only not meeting his KPIs of reducing crime by 20,000 incidents, but instead, having an increase of 30,000…that’s a massive 50,000 differential…

WTF!!!!…how can that be ..”doing an absolutely fantastic job” in anyone’s books.

The delusion that runs deep through Luxon’s brain should be deeply concerning for all right-minded Kiwis. But even more deeply disturbing, is …the ignorance …the woeful ignorance.

Not interested in world renowned research, the psychology, and the science, of dealing with societal violence and crime. Nope!…he’s a bloke…your average Joe…and of course average Joes and their ill thought through reckons believe they have all the answers to everything, but usually, they amount to nothing more than mush.

So a tip for Mr. Mushy…he is going to miss all his future unworkable, unrealistic, self imposed, KPIs …and like he has done to many other workers, who he has said had to go because they had been ‘under performing’, and being true to his word, like the Christian that he says he is , mass sackings will be the only solution…. including himself!!

        Popcorn anyone?

  1. Perhaps the police are working harder at catching criminals because they feel it is worthwhile as the treatment of the offenders is harder. This is what voters want .Labour were seen as soft on gangs and crime and I am sure it played the a bigger part in their life than their dealing with covid.

    • Won’t be the plod who fucked off to OZ for a fist full off dollars and I don’t reckon the doughnut munchers left behind, not up to the challenge of real police work, will be thinking about longer sentences or harder conditions.
More likely who the fuck has my back now? while they’re reading the handbook for new tasers and getting fitted for their middle aged, chubbed up riot gear.

The gangs have been soft on cops. You’re gonna need a bigger force.

      • Both my sons live in Melbourne and have friends in the police force .Policing in most areas of Australia is a world away from NZ . Violence and gun crime is far greater and combined with the cost of living makes Australia less attractive and many resign after a short time.
The police in NZ are doing a great job and are able to work better now they have the backing of it Minister.

        • Yes the police are doing a great job but are being forced to Aussie by a very poor minister who doesn’t value them in monetary terms.

    • Trevor the arrests of the Comanchero mob is a process that started three years ago, which no doubt Luxon will take credit for. There is also a f’ing obvious situation of the likes of 1ZB dickheads no longer going on about crime. Puffing out your chest and firing out slogans doesn’t reduce crime. Tougher sentences implies the crime will already have happened. It might get rid of repeat offenders but what types of crime are repeat offenders actually committing?

      • Thank God the NZ Police and the NZ Government are starting to take the Gangs seriously, they have let them get too strong and powerful IMHO ???

        • Ngungukai. Yes, thank God. I avoid walking the next street where big loud Mongrel Mob live, and gather that there’s also three or four other gang houses nearby. Mitchell is right on this one.

    • Trevor “ Labour were seen as soft on…crime..” Yes. I could not comprehend why they all stood back and let biological women get beaten and terrorised at Albert Park. Maybe a police operational matter.

  2. LAST August Mitchell said he would resign if crime was not falling .Currently it is rising about 20% so there needs to be a 20% drop this month or he should fall on his sword come the end of October .Cant wait hes an idiot.

  3. Violent crime rhetoric is pure bull sh## and right wing white propaganda.
It is only the right white wing who talk up violent crime becomes its politically a vote catcher.
Rob Muldoon stayed in power 9 years with his “war on gangs” from 1975. So what did he achieve?
Jim Bolger stayed in power 9 years with his “war on gangs “from 1990. So what did he achieve?
Nothing absolutely nothing except get lots of votes.
Now this Government aims to stay in power by waging “war on gangs”.
Its simply appealing to right wing white prejudice and ignorance.
White folk are always attracted to the bait like piranha and hyena on crystal meth.
    The Rhetoric goes like this.
1.The country is on the verge of an imminent gang take over because of the woke left wing policies.
    2. We need a hard right wing white Govt to crack down on the left wing ..
    3. All evidence of the White invasion post 1840 must be eviscerated.
    4. Feminists need bashing.
5.Minority races especially brown skins like Maori need bashing.
    6. We need to bring back the British education curriculum of 1765.
    7. All Green policies must be eliminated.
    8. Homosexuals must be driven back into the closet.
    9. Immigration must be limited to whites only especially white flight Afrikaners.
    10. Unemployment must rise to lower wage demands and create an undeclass of low paid beneficiaries
So it was under Muldoon as it was under Bolger as it is under Muldoons Grandson Luxon.
    The more things change…..

  4. Atiamuri Tokoroa burnt out car with body in it as well in Dargaville another burnout car with body in it! However a 32 year old perp was captured in Favona Auckland for the murder of Rigby Ariki who was mistaken for a dead sheep by Hastings police. Tough on crime is really targeting the poor who mostly are pasifika-Maori communities who victimizes their own and this govt approach is to go hard on these groups however evidence indicate that these measures have a wider negative affecting the next gen and it won’t slow crime which is why a more holistic approach that Labour were implementing has a long term forecast and changes are slow fix not instant.

  5. In my opinion the above is a cheap, store bought ploy to deflect inquiry from the *mafia’s true intentions. Remember ! We’re being played by the soulless who, since they had first roll of the dice are one step ahead us with their forward planning at this point.
This is what I think is happening. The global hyper rich are coming. They don’t care about we Maori, or non Maori. They, want our country. Our AO/NZ. They want us to abandon the treaty, the crown and all other nuances that identifies Maori particularly with their TĹ«rangawaewae, their place to stand.
The Treaty will go and then the Crown will go and then we will go.
Gang issues are a means to pry open the door to let them in. Any intelligent, well meaning government would understand that Gangs are born of poverty so the question that must be asked ” Why is there poverty in AO/NZ when our primary industry can feed 40 million people and can support 14 multi-billionaires, 3118 multi-millionaires each with a base figure of $50 million net and there are four now foreign owned banks who are the second most profitable banks in the world; John key’s ANZ, ASB, BNZ ( Don’t get me started on the entirely, 100% crooked BNZ) and Westpac Bank, the same bank that does the banking for the police and IRD, if I remember correctly.
    * Mafia.
National. ACT. NZ First. Labour. The Green Party. The Maori Party.
They’re all the same thing. They, are one. MMP has enabled a cadre of crooks to gather about to make money by exploiting us then use their own dodgy politics to cover their arses to get clean away with our money.
    MMP. Wikipedia
The New Zealand parliamentary electoral system has been based on the principle of mixed-member proportional (MMP) since the 1996 election.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_system_of_New_Zealand
1996 General Election / MMP/ Dumbo Jimbo the farmers traitor won hot on the heels of evil little roger douglas and the treachery he committed within Lange’s Labour gubbimint.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1996_New_Zealand_general_election
Gangs! Shut up and listen! You’re being used. You’re being used to help foreign powers, the same foreign powers who own anyone with a mortgage and are in every major banking institution in AO/ NZ to gain a foot hold in YOUR fucking country. STOP ! THINK ! You’re being set up. We’re all being set up. Our entire economy, our politic and our societies are a symptom of small gang of crooked fuckers doing crooked shit. Research the stats then lean the stats against your common sense and see what you get. A big fucking fright will be the first thing, then in comes the rage. I say let’s rage!
All the foreign owned banks to be banned. Write off all mortgages to the same and unleash keen young lawyers against the foreign banks presence. Interest free survival packages given to the 600,000 living in poverty immediately and a guaranteed minimum payment of $20 K to everyone on a minimum wage. Decriminalise all recreational drugs except alcohol. Ban alcohol sales in supermarkets. An highly addictive, physically damaging, often lethal drug openly sold beside the vegetables and lollies! For fucks sake!

  6. ‘Perhaps the police are working harder at catching criminals because they feel it is worthwhile as the treatment of the offenders is harder.’
Well Trevor that ban of Gang patches is definitely going to be a reason for the police working harder as they check to see all those gang members are not wearing their patches in public instead of dealing with domestic violence.

  7. War on gangs? how about a war on poverty, homelessness and exploitation of the NZ working class…

Cops know very well that if semi autos are allowed to legally circulate again, particularly without a firearms Register, some of them will be aimed right at them.
