Perhaps the police are working harder at catching criminals because they feel it is worthwhile as the treatment of the offenders is harder. This is what voters want .Labour were seen as soft on gangs and crime and I am sure it played the a bigger part in their life than their dealing with covid.

Both my sons live in Melbourne and have friends in the police force .Policing in most areas of Australia is a world away from NZ . Violence and gun crime is far greater and combined with the cost of living makes Australia less attractive and many resign after a short time.

LAST August Mitchell said he would resign if crime was not falling .Currently it is rising about 20% so there needs to be a 20% drop this month or he should fall on his sword come the end of October .Cant wait hes an idiot.
