Trying to unsubscribe from the Democracy Project is almost impossible!
It’s like political chlamydia in that it keeps coming back!
How many times do I need to unsubscribe from a list of paywalled information???
I had to download a fucking App to cancel being on their lists!
The once great Democracy Project is now an abomination, it’s Victoria University – A PUBLICLY FUNDED UNIVERSITY – who has a Paywall of Paywalled information!
The only people who benefit from The Democracy Project are commercial intelligence organisations who use it for their own intel purposes.
I have zero interest in supporting a Paywall culture that creates two classes of information citizens.
I have zero interest in reading Alt-Right Folk Singer and Platform performance artist Chris Trotter and pretend that’s left wing.
This is the same Democracy Project that argued this Government is moderate and that the Atlas Network has no influence.
Life is too short to waste reading the fucking Democracy Project.
Comrade Trotters been on the Anti-Maori website “NZCPR” which issues only targeting Maori negatively!! He and the “NZCPR” are so obsessed with Maori as if we’ve committed the crime of the century!? We are poverty stricken people in our ancestral homelands but somehow we are a threat??? Is it because of our very existence that threatening in the eyes of some NZers that Comrade Trotter and his ilk appeal too? There something sick about Pakeha NZ society as a Maori I don’t know the answer however I would promote & advocate for an understanding “NZ history” I believe therein lies solutions knowing where you come from and where we need to be going into the future.
But Stephen it is good to know what is being said out there. Does Bowalley Rd or Chris T put up comments that sound ‘off’ to you? Or is his object for him to measure how much misinformation is floating around. Not everything that Maori say is crystal clear or even true. That’s because being human, we all get carried away.
I met a kaumatua I think, the recently at a takeaway who felt that Maori are being blamed for everything. I can understand his feeling. Maori have been used as a propaganda post to direct negative feelings towards for decades. This behaviour advanced and exploited by pakeha and even class-conscious Maori, as I assume Winston Peters would be regarded, is people playing a race or poverty card. Being short of money and developing bad habits of drinking etc to lift out of depression, is common to most people suffering difficulties. But Maori get an extra push from those ready to climb on people’s backs, who seem to be mainly pakeha.
