American’s don’t care about being racist gun toting rednecks, but being considered weird is cultural death

America is a funny place.

Proclaim your redneck gun totin’ agenda mixed with some Qanon religious fervour and it’s all free speech and rugged individualism, but get labeled ‘weird’ and the Right collectively shits itself with no comeback.

We all know weird now thanks to social media contact with freaks you’d never bump into at the pub or while socialising or in public and being weird is now a new toxicity label to avoid.

Not even redneck gun totin’ Americans mixed with Qanon religious fervour want to be thought of as weird.

As eye rolling and alienating as the woke are, the hard Right are openly revolting.

We are seeing some of this weird culture war stuff turning up here in NZ with this Government’s weird disgust at everything Māori.

Willie Jackson is devastating in his criticism of why Paul Goldsmith removed Aotearoa from an invite to Matariki (and managed to cause a trans Tasman spat)…

The bashing we are seeing of Māori hides a deeper more nasty right wing privatization agenda that runs in tandem to dismantling Māori rights to challenge this agenda.

Paul had to go through the invite to wipe clean any Te Reo, that takes effort, that speaks to a deeper agenda, that isn’t normal.

To paraphrase Tim Walz, the new USA vice president aspirant, it’s weird.

It’s weird that the Government hate Māori aspiration so much, yet loves Big Tobacco aspiration.

It’s weird to hate Te Reo but love tax loop holes for Landlords.

It’s weird they can’t stand Māori Wards yet are changing laws for Mining companies and Real Estate speculation.

The National Party are weird.

…The National Party are weird because their anger towards everything Māori is weird.

Weird like ACT and weird like NZF.

The genuine positivity towards Kamala will fall away the moment she has to actually be interviewed openly by Journalists, and this Election is still Trump’s to lose.

But weird feels like a cultural death for the Republicans, which would make for a Zombie Presidency under Trump.

The Weird American Midnight inches closer.

  1. Kamala Harris is an actress not a policy politician. She has no international experience or knowledge she not ideologically driven like Biden. IMO Trumps got this in the bag
