Getting anything intelligent and far-seeing done in Kiwiland is like dragging teeth from a toothless drunk.

One useful new thing we could do is to offer a haven for any Israeli who feels trapped in their country by their government bent apparently on destroying all the Palestinians or anyway their will, structures, crop, children and ability to make a life. It is wrong to think that all the balding men and sharp-as-knives women enacting these measures that echo what they despaired of in WW2 and before. When it comes to rigidity of behaviour we can in NZ/AO understand from our own experience. But from a distance we can get a better perspective of unsatisfactory politics which lack the diplomacy which is said to take over from a cessation of war. So let us offer at least a temporary haven of two years to those having these deeds forced on the shoulders of all in the country. If they can get to the USA AirNZ can bring them back on their new flights perhaps.

The Israelis to kill a negotiator shows that they have slid into madness and loathsome behaviour. The awful thought is that it appears that the onslaught against them in World War 2 finally killed off their religion’s connection to spirituality and therefore the religion being dead there is no argument for them to wish for Palestine’s land.
