Announce protest actions, general chit chat or give your opinion on issues we haven’t covered for the day.

The Editor doesn’t moderate this blog,  3 volunteers do, they are very lenient to provide you a free speech space but if it’s just deranged abuse or putting words in bloggers mouths to have a pointless argument, we don’t bother publishing.

All in all, TDB gives punters a very, very, very wide space to comment in but we won’t bother with out right lies or gleeful malice. We leave that to the Herald comment section.

EDITORS NOTE: – By the way, here’s a list of shit that will get your comment dumped. Sexist abuse, homophobic abuse, racist abuse, anti-muslim abuse, transphobic abuse, Chemtrails, 9/11 truthers, Qanon lunacy, climate deniers, anti-fluoride fanatics, anti-vaxxer lunatics, 5G conspiracy theories, the virus is a bioweapon, some weird bullshit about the UN taking over the world  and ANYONE that links to fucking infowar.

  1. I am thinking about writing a book about what we all know about NZ/AO, the world and particularly ourselves, but which we forget each night and have to learn and remember again each morning. Trouble is, this is like our bodies ageing, they repair themselves but with small failures each time.*

I don’t know which title to choose, probably second. As the title suggests it doesn’t involve much effort or movement.
1 Analysis in Wonderland – a tale for today without any magic.
2 Paralysis in Wonderland – the medical profession may help to alleviate this if it is not decimated; especially the mental health and personal psychology part.

The story would rely heavily on Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass as detailed in Wikipedia:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Queen_(Through_the_Looking-Glass).
The various characters indulge in transmogrifications that parallel what happens around us regularly now!

Are we the decayed remnants of humanity at the end of an era, or suffering from confabulation of inputs and are still able, if enough stable and intelligent people try together, to think, confer, analyse and decide on small ways forward, and by monitoring the process and progress, and repeating this enable a group to achieve a combined tribal future of practical and moral humanity?

I think it would be useful to read through John Wyndham The Day of the Triffids as a sort of pilgrim’s progress model for early discussion. Concerned and aware people need to think maturely and clearly for moves made practically with foresight out of our present dystopia?

  2. A doughty little battler – The Warehouse! So little of NZ business has a substantial NZ share holding and management as well. The Warehouse is trying to find a recipe for surviving economic mismanagement by know-nothing pollies whether Labour or National, and the littlies don’t count much either.

So try to go past The red Warehouse businesses and buy as they are generally very good.
Or go to Oz and pretend our country was just a mirage. We had a good one, but have lost it and as the woman I met in the supermarket and I think, it is pursuit of ever more money (and the tech upheaval) that has affected the world negatively. It’s a sort of madness.
