Latest Roy Morgan Poll shows Right wing crash

Latest Roy Morgan Poll is out and it is devastating for the Right…

National 33.5%
Labour – 30%
Greens – 14%
ACT – 9.5
NZF – 5.5
Māori Party 3%

…in barely 6 months this hard right racist climate denying beneficiary bashing Government have become as popular as puberty blockers at a MAGA rally!

The crazy implementation of culture war revenge fantasies as social policy is just too extreme for most Kiwis who voted National and it is alarming to those who didn’t bother voting.

Roy Morgan is seen as an outlier poll and they have remained stubbornly high for National, but this latest poll released last night has them now showing the same trend as Talbot, TU and the TVOne Poll and that is a pulling away from the right.

Frightened Trolls will scream that election is 2 and a half years away, and that these polls are meaningless but that misses Winston stepping down in a years time and when that happens all bets are off as to when he pulls the plug to hurt ACT.

The Right are in deep trouble and the full impacts of their venal and selfish policy haven’t even been felt yet.

They have sacked 5000 public servants and look set to sack another 4000 while giving Shane Jones the fast track power of Muldoon on meth.

  1. How many hundreds of thousands of new voters will the Right have enfranchised by the next election, bearing in mind that you don’t even need to be a citizen to vote? *crickets chirping*

    • Sweet F# all voters Castro when the impacts of the last 7 months hit home and the Budget addresses none of it.

      Latest FEU

•Rents still climbing this quarter, now the highest they have ever been since September 2008 !

•Demand/ competition for rentals while home buying is unaffordable, favours landlords raising rents still.

•Migration departures reached all time highs in March far exceeding the record in 2012 !!!

•The BULK of NZ citizens that left WERE 20 – 29 years of age.

•Consumer prices rising at a rate of 4% annually.

•Prolonged period of high interest still to come.

•Spending fell near 9% compared to April 2024 then having negative knock on effect on business.

•Business activity DROPPED across all sectors. “Retail and hospitality particularly poorly” = job losses and lower employment intentions will accompany the downturn. ( = less tax take ).

      ……..

  2. The Greens just need to come across a party member who beats baby seals to death and they’ll be at 20%, as it seems the worse their behaviour the more fans they garner.

I get despondent when i see such a bunch of no hoppers get so much support. Let’s face NZs best days are far behind it.

    • Beat em with a bed leg or have your family beat animals and you become government BG.

    • Imagine how others felt when it was proven J Key and his cohorts were involved in dirty politics and smear campaigns…and still he was re-elected, wasn’t called Teflon John for nothing

    • Do you mean ” … no hoper’s ” No hoppers is a different thing altogether.
You had a medical recently, you may have bumped your head.

        • From what I see it’s clear you’ve never written an essay in your life judging by your Green party comment. So enlighten us, back up your claim and show us the strike marks on every Green MP?

      • Bob
Ennis doesn’t need a ‘reference’ and neither do I. We both did the simple maths, see if you can follow: 904,100 people called themselves Maori as of 2023. The maori party got 87,973 votes. That’s less than 10% of maori giving that ‘race based party’ a vote. Conclusion…most Maori don’t like TMP. Most Maori don’t
like race based radical politics. Why would they?… most Maori will he working tomorrow, while the TPM and a few of their radical mates, who mostly live off the taxpayer, will be blocking the roads to stop all those good maori folk, that don’t seem to like TPM, from getting to work or to school. There you go Bob.

        • No Jzie most don’t vote it’s a problem in maoridom they just believe the system doesn’t represent them especially the hate they receive from pakeha its systemic

          • stephen
System schmystem. The opportunities to vote are there. It’s pretty easy to vote. Nobody is stopping anyone. So that’s their problem. Stop making exuses for voters not getting off their arses to make the changes they supposedly want. You’re just frustrated that your own team is letting you down. Truth: more Maori will have voted for National than for either Labour or TPM.

        • I remember Groundswell and their radical mates blocking the streets.
          It was a workday.
They used tractors and farm machinery on public roads.

          But apparently that was okay.

  3. If those figures stayed for a real election it would mean Right was still in power thank goodness.
I am more interested in the result after the budget when people see some reward for the effort in turning the ship around .

    • The ship has sunk. We are now the South Africa of the 70s and 80s.

What is the reward for being a loyal public servant…a sacking.

    • The figures show a downward spiral for the right bloc. If they continue until the next election see Jonzie Krauts post below. Some rich people will see reward after the budget, 90 % won’t.

    • The Buttwaffle Budget
      Predictions.

-Willis’ kids will skip school to see mummy.
-Willis’ B-day outfit will cost more than most people’s weekly food budget
      – The missing tax calculator was wrong
      – SOEs and assets will be further underfunded and privatised but camouflaged with flash words.
      – Coal, oil and gas will be renamed as critical elements for EVs ( as per ignorant Luxie in Parliament yesterday)
      – Deadly Antimony in your water, air, soils and foodchain is a sure bet.
      – The Waikato Med School will be gone in favour of a megaprison
      – The 3 heads of CoC will all trot out to the media to extol more cover up buttwaffle

      • Government superannuation contributions will be axed(again and again) by National and will bow to pressure by ACT to raise the retirement age to 68.

  4. Given the depressed state of the economy, I’m surprised the Coalition parties are still that high.

    • Ada Labour Government legacy will take some time to correct but it’s great the to see the speed the Coalition are working at.

      • Nationals legacy was Muldoon’s decision on superannuation…

        https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/money/300327451/the-worst-decision-by-a-new-zealand-politician-ever

Then John Key followed suit with second worst decision ever by cancelling government contributions for 9 years costing the country billions.

None of which can ever be corrected. You and your adulation of this corrupt Coalition are the problem, not the answer, most are starting to realise this now.

National have history, it is proven. You constantly belittle Labour yet have not once provided any shred of evidence to back up your uneducated claims.

        • All of my claims are legitimate Corrupt gnat the figures are there in black and white why do you need me to explain?
“uneducated claims.” On what do you judge that?

  5. The only poll that matters is election day.
The reality of it is what is Labour and the left going to do to persuade the younger and disenfranchised to vote for them?

  6. It’s unrealistic to think Labour can encourage people to vote for them with their current lineup.
Chippy has failed at every portfolio he has held including Prime Minister.
MacAnulty has said on more than one occasion he’s not interested in the Prime Ministership.
David Parker is capable but lacks charisma.
Willie Jackson is much too divisive and carries a controversial background.
They need someone new who isn’t currently obvious in their lineup.

    • Luxon repeatedly denied any interest in the leadership of the National Party.

But of course, behind the scenes he and his handler, John ‘Insider-Trader’ Key were scheming and voila!

Here we have the ex-Air NZ CEO plunging the economony into a steep nosedive and tailspin.

In just six months too! Quite an accomplishment. Our bald male version of Liz Truss.

      • It would have been so much better if we’d borrowed more money and we were all kind and Cindy was still smiling.

      • The economy thanks to the Coalition will be pulled out of the nose dive piloted by the Labour Government.

  7. Jesus! It doesn’t take much for stupid to spill from the cranium. Bit of a nudge and out she pours
The criminal stupidity of national could only appeal to the even stupider farmer.
The relationship between farmers and National can only be found in one other place other then farms. In the Dominatrix Parlours along K Road.
Being determinedly set upon by the idea to adore their abusers is soooo farmer. That’s why we’re fucked as an economy and society. Complete morons farm only to be exploited by their counterpart complete moron parasites living in the leafy suburbs of the logical fallacy that’s funny, greedy little auckland.
And I still don’t get why K Charles, William and George are labeled as being the three home grown Tweedles.
Seriously, I don’t get it. Sure, I understand that there are innumerable reasons why the crown is hated by millions, perhaps billions of people but I don’t get the connection here, in this instance.
There are, of course, those few who do understand what’s going on broadly speaking, but they can only be found hiding under their beds.
I’m a farmer but now without the farm but if I still had that farm and it was as free hold as it was before the bank and it’s minion lice got to it through the dementia my long suffering father he’d succumbed too I’d be packing for coastal Portugal faster than you could say ” Gidday mate. How’reyagoin’? Yeah-nah, she won’t be right. So nah…. yeah. Fuck that I thought so here I am.Take an E and catch some sun burn. Gotta be better than mud, hate and the lash. “

  8. The revenge munter voters and non voters got what they deserved for being thickos I guess, the thing is they have affected many other working class people. I quite liked cost free prescriptions…

But hey, keep up the fight back, led at the moment by TPM.

  9. Great that the majority of New Zealanders can see this current coalition as not suitable to govern. This will became clearer after the budget ( Bugdebt? ) which will most probably favour warlthy people. Hopefully we will move away from te Tiriti O Waitangi being undermined, and for more fairness in Aotearoa

  11. If commentators to Bradbury’s article are representative of the country’s voting population then the nation is in dire straits indeed. Puerile remarks, thin thinking & pathetic point scoring by all.
Back to school everyone, learn how to argue your point and, like, just grow up.

  12. Based on this poll like all the others the status quo is still 78% of the electorate who expressed a preference in this sample.

The Hobbits’ are still backing the same groups of vultures who keep re inventing neo liberal policies promising a new dawn like the current ” I am optimistic for New Zealand ” but what that means is Luxon knows that the obscene wealth of his supporters and his colleagues will continue because the whole thing is rigged.

Right wing crash Bomber ? under MMP all of the right wing including LINO are in no danger of losing any influence.

Its simply no longer left or right just the status quo and LINO only being slightly less harsh than the Nasties and with no vision or protection for so many who are no longer represented.

  13. Bottom line is once the Government invite in Murdoch and defund the Woke MSM their poll ratings will rocket
When you have the MSM giving detailed directions to an illegal protest there’s no no doubt who the real opposition are

  14. According tomy calculator this adds up to 48.5% for the coalition and 47% for their opposition. I think that with som of the bod steps they are taking they would be pretty happy with that at this stage. They will be hopeing that the pain they are causing now will be vindicated by results by next election. Let’s wait and see.

  15. I had farming inlaws stay over for the week end on their way to stratford for red neck week of dog trials .In their words this government is dog shit and they voted them in .They now realise what a mistake that was .They had a resentment against Jacinda but would more than likley wellcome her back as she has empathy for the average kiwi as well as the growing number of peasants in all areas of NZ .

  16. Despite everything said above I can confidently claim the Coalition has us on the correct track,so you can all rest easy.
