Dr Sharma suspension karma vs B-E-L-I-E-V-E all gaslighting bullies : Winners, Losers & Predictions

Friendly work photo or evidence of Emotional Genocide?

4 years ago, (despite my arguments that they would inadvertently awake a dormant political fault line in ACT), the identity politics woke in NZ attacked free speech by cancelling travelling performance crypto-fascists Southern & Molyneux…

Cancelled: Alt-right activists Stefan Molyneux and Lauren Southern in limbo after venue backs out of hosting event

…barely a month after that ‘victory’ in strangling off free speech in 2018 (a ‘victory’ that would begin ACT’s march from political irrelevance into the double digit hate machine behemoth it’s mutated into – like I warned), National tried the same game by wanting Chelsea Manning banned from entering the country to speak in Auckland…

National Party says Chelsea Manning should not be allowed in New Zealand

The National Party says the Government should refuse to allow US whistleblower Chelsea Manning to visit New Zealand for a speaking tour.

…oh the Lols!

There was this glorious moment of total intellectual confusion over the collective faces of the woke activists of Aotearoa New Zealand. They had just succeeded in closing down performance crypto-fascists Southern & Molyneux by threatening bomb calls to the venue and were feeling very chuffed when they were suddenly hit by the other side wanting to strangle off Chelsea Manning’s free speech, the trans activist who had the courage to provide war crime evidence to Julian Assange.

The brittle intellectual and philosophical framework of Woke middle class aesthetic Identitarianism isn’t really built on more than a hashtag and ‘feelings’ so after choking off free speech, they didn’t really have any ground to suddenly be free speech defenders.

The exact same madness has occurred with Dr Sharma getting his Karma.

Last week the eruption of moral virtue signalling over the collective hatred directed at Uffindell was a deafening explosion of self righteousness.

I thought it was monstrous defining a human based on the actions of their 16 year old self, but everyone else wanted a lynching.

I don”t care about National MPs, and I’ve got zero time for his privilege, but he’s a human being and judging him on his childhood so the revisionist micro aggression policing movement can collectively pile all their own childhood trauma onto one target is boring and terribly dull, (especially when we have so many actual fucking issues confronting us).

If only we on the Left were as good at strangling off child poverty, strangling off the cost of living crisis and strangling off housing unaffordability the way are at strangling off National MP careers for things they did 2 decades ago.

Then Sam got the ‘Santamaria treatment’ with RNZ using the Salam Witch Trial evidential standard by interviewing an anonymous woman about a drunk Sam banging on her door 20 years ago.

His shitty flat also had girls underwear on the wall.

WON’T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN WHILE CLUTCHING PEARLS!

Hash tag solidarity. Hash tag feminism. Hash tag BELIEVE all women.

In the middle of this gleeful schadenfreude suddenly Dr Gaurav Sharma drops a nuclear confession that actually, the Government and Labour are all bullies.

There was a moment of confusion by the woke Lynch mob, if Sam bad evil bully for events he committed 2 decades ago, surely the revelations of bullying now by a serving member of Parliament requires even more outrage olympics, yet it was our side being accused!

After appreciating the philosophically tenuous position their Lynch mob had placed them, the woke doubled down and began damning Labour and supporting Dr Sharma right up until it started sounding like the problem was a staffing issue in HIS office.

Dr Gaurav Sharma then went full Jami-Lee Ross.

Labour suspending Sharma occurs as he is surfing the current cultural dominance of intersectionist victimhood where we must B-E-L-I-E-V-E all victims of power dynamics.

Sharma is able to ride this victimhood because victimhood is allowed the power of allegation with little evidence now that due process is simply heteronormative white cis male privilege.

There are of course political winners and losers by suspending Sharma.

Winners:

National – They can’t believe their blessings and pure luck to have all the attention of bullying and privilege taken away from them.

Millennial level snowflake triggers – Now Anna Lorck is the target of anonymous Millennial bully allegations. The snowflake staffer felt being asked to drive her drunk boss home after work was emotional genocide. Low level Millennial trigger thresholds make this entire debate about bullying a joke. Disagreement is now seen as persecution.

Dr Sharma – He gets to play the victim and slowly release more and more emails and messages. His martyrdom is all he has now and it will corrode Jacinda’s kindness brand.

Losers:

Labour – This is going to be damaging because Sharma is doing it for the political martyrdom now and has clearly already decided to run as an independent. He will continue to deliver scraps of evidence and drag this out until the election.

Whips – This is such an extraordinary fuck up by the whips. Shit has clearly gotten personal between Sharma and whoever decided to put his rival in his office and this should have been handled with dignity and tact. It feels like inexperienced Whips big balling when diplomacy was required. The whips need whipping.

Uffindell – The hypocrisy between his own actions as a 16 year old and his damnation of 16 year olds hurting people in his maiden speech was always difficult enough to survive, but National’s need to punish young people on welfare and the chance to look politically pious means he’s gone.  Expect a by-election in Tauranga after Sam ‘choses’ to stand down.

TVNZ – Their issue is that people can’t pronounce Dr Sharma’s name correctly. I’m not joking. I know. I know. I know.

Predictions:

Suspension is one step down from expulsion and the hope is that Sharma can redeem himself and come back into the fold, but look at the top of Sharma’s Facebook page…

…this is a man who is ready to run as an independent. All his social medias are directed to his personal profile, not Labour’s!

Between now and the 2023 election he will run a counter insurgency inside the Government so he is free to run as an independent in 2023 regardless of suspension or expulsion.

National & ACT will be hypocritically pious and the Greens are so victim driven they won’t be able to criticise Sharma.

This is a terrible mishandling by Labour’s Whips and Sharma will ride the Millennial victimhood wave as far as humanly possible.

Our brittle weakness is collectively beneath the challenge of our times.

  1. Are the left angry at Sharma’s claims or more angry he ‘spoilt’ their Sam U scandal by going public too soon?
Arden and Co have a very slippery eel to bully…oops, sorry ‘manage’, and that eel is not done yet!

    • Under accepted protocols no Labour MP has made comments about the Tory Sam U. Same with Jamie Lee Ross, when there were mental health issues or whatever they did not play politics.

Not like the dirty nasty NATZ Paula Bennet, Collins, Bishop and others. The NATZ and especially the right wing tory times herald, tory talk ZB, am tory talk show and main stream media under instructions from the NATZACT tory political party team. This Sharma issue will die down so what will dirty “retro joe” politics team concentrate on now – cost of living, inflation, MIQ 2020/21, lockdowns, housing. Losers are the do nothing National party, the incompetent and floundering Luxon and willis will probably be thrown out before the election 2023.

Winner is Jacinda and Labour party.

  2. Bully = whatever the person making the claim wants to believe it is and almost impossible to rectify. A misused term made by some who may be being pulled up for failing to do their job suddenly become victims. I’ve seen the bullshit that accompanies such claims.

Sharma was toast come the next election anyway with the current polling numbers but he is now reassured of returning to his previous day job now. His dirt throwing tantrums are unusual and one could be forgiven for thinking he was a plant from the other side of the political spectrum with that Herald exclusive but in any case his narcissistic petulance is slowly burying him. People don’t like injustices but they can see a whinging traitor a mile off and they like that even less.

I guess we will have to put up with this attention seeking tool focused purely on him for 4 more months.

    • Thanks for the definition!
‘Bullying’ is a word bandied about endlessly at present and can cover a multitude of sins – and lies and victims-seeking-status. Your definition,as universally encompassing as it is, seems to work, Well, sort-of.

  3. I may add that no matter how many MP’s deluded themselves in the past into thinking they could run as an independent, the lesson never seems to be absorbed by the next one who tries it, it’s not you meaningless pill who wins the seat, it’s your Party!

Remind us where the last guy who tried that kamikaze tactic, Jamie Lee Ross, is now?

    • dunno xray the ‘teals’ did ok in the last oz election, admittedly more a group of middle class karens than anything leftist but it did point up how many had enough of corruption in oz.

  4. The Woke’s new hashtag & rallying cry is:

    #BelieveAllVictims(UnlessItEmbarressesLabour)

Their cognitive dissonance must have been huge when it was a male, but a non-White male, alleging being bullied.

Men can’t be bullied ’cause they are the oppressors, but he is non-white so he gets bonus points for that, but then he is a Dr, so he is Privileged…

    • Adding to the Woke’s dissonance is the fact that the top Boss is a female, but the two alleged bullies are white males so that is playing out as they expect.

      • Well i guess in the age of Gender putting ‘female’ next to a vagina haver is meaningless as women now can also have penises and grow a beard and tand 6f5 tall.

    • Nope. He’s only Auckland Med School, not a product of the time-honoured Scots-elevated University of Otago Medical School. Different ethos. Auckland with its humid zephyrs which dull the brain cannot begin to compare to Dunedin where the keen Antarctic winds sharpen one’s senses – and every other part – permanently.

But – having a top-female can impact interestingly subconsciously -or even consciously for that matter. Indian males can be very sexist; so can Chinese, but they’re more subtle about it, and I have yet to see an electorate photo of a Chinese -or half a Chinese – candidate where all the women were so generously physically endowed between the shoulder and the waistline.

There are possibly cultural or ethnic differences at play here, and having Parliamentary Services, the specialists in hosing off New Zealanders, headed by a South American male of possibly Spanish origin may ruffle the mix.

Dr Sharma can’t make this into a Treaty issue, but it should not have dragged on so long, and publicly lambasting him in a closed process forum, sucks. In a normal workplace, even in a government workplace, he’d benefit from grabbing an independent employment lawyer and taking this to the ERA, even though this unsettles the hierarchy. Social media mightn’t be the wisest route, but that may be a generational thing.

      • There are always 2 sides too every story and we really have only 1 , this to protect innocent parties caught in this MP’s drama queen saga. He is now all out to bully others and dragging good people into disrepute .Remember he is a doctor and doctors are not used to being told what to do. There are no winners in this saga thats been going on for 18 months and for people to think its been ignored is disingenuous to say the least. If the shoe was on the other foot and the staff concerns about Dr. Sharma had been ignored then WHO would have been to blame and what would the headlines have been on platforms such as this.

        • Queeny. And nor should doctors “ be told what to do.” Nobody should be told what to do. People who think this way should bugger off to China, or Carterton or Dipton. This isn’t the army, or even Dad’s Army, it is a political party of colleagues who should be able to engage in dialogue with each other.

We’re not talking about an embezzler here, or some old drunkard, or one of the Nat’s serial shaggers, or an adolescent jerk bugging his electorate office; this is a reasonably well educated man with a couple of good university degrees indicating working grey cells and a reasonable amount of self discipline, seemingly reaching an impasse with his parliamentary party.

Whether the issue is a semantic one may be debatable, but there’s a reasonable imbalance of power here, and blaming and labelling and shaming the little guy doesn’t necessarily mean that some great truth has been arrived at; on the contrary it’s not unreasonable to suggest that they may all need to grow up and engage in some socks pulling up.

          • Snow White they have tried to do this since day one he has thrown his toys out of the cot and is trying to pull others down with him. This is shameful behavior no matter who it is or where you live

              • Pip the facts are in his revelations via Facebook, he has named the two the whips and brought them into disrepute without any real evidence to back it up. The facts have been shared that they had to intervene because his office staff couldn’t cope with his behavior. These are the facts that have been made public not made up by me. The whole saga ( again made public) was thought sorted last Wednesday but he threw his toys out of the cot on Thursday. Now why would anyone do that when all had agreed to a resolution.??

      • Thats why NATZ have no indians, no Chinese, a Korean, 2 Hori Torys, and a swarm of men (and few woman) in suits in their ranks. Basically tory supporters are Jacinda haters first and labour haters second.

  5. On the relatively small amount of actual information that has been presented Martyn how do you conclude the Whips stuffed up? Sharma comes across like nothing more than someone who couldn’t get his way so goes full on shit stirrer. Whatever he has drip feed seems inconclusive at best. Of course you could say I am making an opinion based on not much either, but its pretty clear, by his actions, resolution was never wanted.

  6. Get real Martyn. The details about Sharma haven’t been revealed. Dr Priveledged has been very vague, Labour’s has hidden under “employment matter” privacy. Who the hell knows what the real issues there are? Whereas, Uffindel came right out and admitted his past, AFTER concealing it from the voter base in Tauranga and doing a conflicting maiden speech. Most kiwis can forgive transgressions of a teenager committed 20 years ago, but not yesterday’s deceitful actions. They can both fark off, and any other narcissists in leadership roles

    • Dont forget Bill English claiming mortgage/ rent allowance on various? properties way back when.

Reading between the lines (and not assigning right or wrong to either side) but I think loose accountability and an element of profligacy is probably at the bottom of this. I read something about this being about travel expenses but also the comment “Sometimes a more senior member takes a trip to a more far flung office for ‘maintaining relationship’ purposes and in fact this is encouraged”.

So my mind went to, here is Dr Sharma, supposedly a workaholic and given his ‘indian’ background probably has worked his ass off for ever and lived relatively speaking ‘a frugal life’. Meanwhile some git from the Hive swans down one day because he has ‘other’ fish to fry in Hamilton, sticks his nose in the door for ten minutes, maybe stays over night and then b*ggers off the next day. I could really see this happening in the context of parliament and maybe it happens often.

Meanwhile Sharma is working his butt off and seeing it, thinks this is outrageous profligacy and not appropriate use of taxpayers funds. Especially so if for some reason, he didnt even get the ten minute head around the door. Maybe even sees it occurring relatively frequently.

He brings it up, they all laugh it off, he gets disgruntled.

      • Fantail Whatever the ins and outs, it’s appalling that Dr Sharma’s issue has simmered unresolved for so long. In a normal workplace, this could constitute an additional grievance.

Sharma isn’t the guy in charge of the processes here, and it doesn’t stand to reason to blame him for the inadequacies or the incompetence of the wallahs in charge of their systems. Right now, he is also being subjected to trial by media, which could give him yet another complaint.

Those who saw this government turning the sprinklers on toddlers, children, women, and blokes, on a wet frigid Wellington night and then reward the comptroller with a nice little diplomatic posting, wonder what goodies will be coming the way of the jesters responsible for this unholy mess.

        • Correct Gentle Annie this issue has simmered for too long which is due to the Labour Government lacking fundamental management skills.
Their tactics are built around bully actions like sprinklers on small children at night.

  7. As the late John Lennons song says, “instant Karma is gunna get you Dr Ardern” or something like that.

This is excellent for the Bullying Gaslighting do as I say, not as I do, because we don’t practice what we preach, because we’re muddle class proto fascist Labour Party plebs led by a fake Dr Ardern leader and her merry band of losers!

Instant Sharma is gunna get you!

    Amene.

      • You haven’t seen the evidence because they’re sitting on doofuss.

Giddy up! This has all happened in the passed year or so and cheif gaslighter Mallard swept it under the carpet because he didn’t think much would come of it because Karma Sharma is a cheeky darkie.
        Hes also very clever!!

Brinkmanship is a game that only one play can win!

        • FFS listen to you. Why would Sharma not release it rather than the nothing of consequence stuff he has done so far? Are you telling me he would have no info in a two way back and forth?

            • What? He has released something damning? Complaining about someone else’s expenses and not liking the answer is now considered bullying?

              • Ask Mallard and his side kick, the head of Parliamentary services who is also culpable in ignoring Sharma’s oringnal complaint and then ‘cancelled’ him by not providing him with staff.

I think your wheel nuts are loose. Tighten them before you lose a few.

                • It’s well known Mallard is a bully so there’s no need for an enquiry.
It’s a done deal Sharma bullied by the Labour Party bully machine.

  8. C’mon Bomber – just admit it Our Glorious Leader is a loser here and Te Reo a winner. Te Reo played the Pontius Pilot corporate exit strategy by ass carding Slammin Sam whilst also washing his hands of the process whereas Our Glorious Leader’s mantra of a “strong team and kindness” has taken an absolute hammering. It has been a cock up from day one and her office is donkey deep in the horse trading that went on. Either she knew and supported or didn’t – either way it’s poor leadership.

Another loser is TAB McAnulty who appears to be miniTrev in his management style and with the Rural blowback coming his seat of Wairarapa goes from lean Labour to toss up. He is also not far enough up the list where in a landslide he gets wiped.

And finally the MSM are losers. They were salivating at the prospect of another week of character assassination of Big Sam with revelations that he left the toilet seat up in the parliamentary toilets and visited a strip club in his 20s. Big Tommy Couglan has gone quiet, OnePravda Breakfast is moping and Gower’s expose on Castle Street couch abuse had to be shitcanned. Lol fucking Lol.

And Seymour’s ass rainbow keeps growing by the day.

    • I think it’s incorrect to suggest her image has taken an “absolute hammering”. Don’t confuse kindness with putting up with shit stirring individuals. I actually thought in the press conferences that she looked like she had a backbone. Sharma released basically nothing but comes across as having a tantrum.

I don’t think Luxon did anything wrong either but let’s see what the QC concludes about the Uff

  9. “Our brittle weakness is collectively beneath the challenge of our times.”

Martyn, if you ever decide to give up this political journalism gig, you could always start a clairvoyance show. Because you read my mind to the letter!

  10. Meanwhile inequality of wealth and health grows. Devastating weather events increase. War rages in Ukraine and threatens in the South China Sea. Pestilence stalks the globe.
Does anyone else feel that our society is like shouting baboons, fighting for status in the group, while the leopard stalks closer?

    • Stevie. “ Does anyone else feel that our society is like shouting baboons, fighting for status in the group, while the leopard stalks closer ?” Yes, Stevie. And some of them must see the leopards and simply close their eyes to them, because acquired privilege has provided them with buffers from many of life’s bruises which they may not even be aware of nor care about. The saga of Sepuloni’s determined dismissal of the Commissioner For Children will surely be one of their dirtiest footprints in our social history.

  11. And with every drip drip drip of his receipts he will show them off to be what he said they are. Bullies.
The real losers are the citizens in Hamilton East who thought that they would elect a representative from a Party that cares about them, only to wake up to realise that the Party don’t give a flying fuck about them, and the dude that they elevated to that post.
The real losers are WE – He Tangata – as we learn, drip drip drip, that L is as toxic and poisonous then N, likewise is more interested in winning then governing, that L in fact is worse, as N never pretends to care. And that can not be good for L in the long term.

  12. Textbook toxic work place, there is likely guilt in more than one place and it stems from poor people management and poor leadership allowing a bad workplace culture to develop.
Responsibility begins at the top with the Labour Party with their “ein reich” mentality.

    • An employee being performance managed for being a bully goes to the media rather than following internal processes, cries foul at being performance managed or bullied to use Sharmas words, can hardly be termed poor leadership.
It appears Sharma falls into the arrogant Doctor category.
True leadership was having him performance managed in the first place, as now we can see why.
Poor leadership is giving yourself an $18000 a year tax cut and probably why 65 % disagree with tax cuts.

      • Let’s look at it this way, Gus. If a person previously in competition with Sharma was placed in his office by Parliamentary Services, at the very least that is mischievous. It could also be seen as both shit-stirring and childish.

        • No Pip, if a person is placed in there due to Sharmas bullying, Sharma takes personal responsibility, it seems both he and you don’t like personal responsibility?

          • Bert. Unlike you, I can’t speak for Dr Sharma any more than you can speak for either me or him, but speaking for myself, you are wrong in your assessment of my likes or my dislikes.

      • Poor management and leadership in the Labour bully ranks has led to this debacle.
It’s the mantra of the left that someone else takes responsibility.

  13. Imagine if the woman in the Dunedin flat had been as out of her tree as Uffindell was at the time. And opened that door and smashed him in the head with a chair or something.
Or being so fearful of him had opened the door and stabbed him in the face.
And his subsequent life became such he would never be in the frame to be an MP.
The incident wasn’t the end of the world. It could have been.
There’s a fine line line between pleasure and pain so some have it as nothing, ordinary behaviour of youth, an indication that small stuff gets big attention.

  14. Molyneaux and Southern are worthless conservatives, though. They should be banned from entering for that reason.

Brad Manning did good work to expose the demonic lust for blood of the American patriot, and the crimes they commit against humans. We should offer him refuge.

    • Soooo as per usual Mohammed the left (YOU) want to decide who gets in and who doesn’t, and if they don’t sing from the same song sheet as you = BANNED….if they do, well open arms and welcome!
Guess you are also a leftie that wants the banning free speech?

      • You mean like how the righties BANNED Jamie Lee Ross and sacked multiple MPs for acting with freedom in giving out private details? Yeah guess you are a rightie that is happy to share private details yet hides behind a pseudonym.

      • Yes I’m right as usual the left want to set the rules.
All left wing associations need a dogma.
They are not free thinkers more of a mob of we know best.

      • So you the right wanted to ban Manning. Now you are a rightie that wants to ban free speech. That must be the case because clearly National speaks on behalf of all conservatives/righties. Muppet. Would you not consider Martyn to be to the left? Think he is very much for free speech.

    • I agree with you MK but that is the thing about FREE speech. You dont get to choose who gets to have a say unless of course that speech trips over into inciting violence.

We might despise them but they still have the same rights as us to have their say.

  15. So Parliamentary Services employed the person contesting the candidacy against Dr Sharma in his office after what would be a fairly brutal selection campaign. This person will now have a very good chance of gaining the candidacy from Dr Sharma at the next election. Clearly a conflict of interest existed.
Do parliamentary services select employees based on political allegiance, as this person was a member of the Labour party? How was the employment process handled and were the applicants asked their political leanings? How was the allegation of an employee of PS turning up intoxicated to work in Dr Sharma’s office handled? If correct, that is serious misconduct and would require a written warning if not immediate termination of employment. I think the gaslights are on full bore here. I support Labour but my tolerance is at breaking point. As a litmus test, put this scenario into your workplace and it would be considered appalling management.

  16. Well you are shit of luck RB. The next team are pretending they care ( unless you are on a benefit of course). They will say the cost of living is doing people in while trying to suppress wage growth of any significance. They are every bit as fake.

    • Interesting you mentioned cost of living. Report on stuff today has wage increases right up there with inflation rate for men and 9.9% for women. Can’t say cost increases are as bad as what people think. If the greedies didn’t pile excessive margins on top then inflation would be OK.
Fletchers 42% increase in profit says something. All the shareholders just got a 42% pay rise.

      • MW I don’t doubt there is price gouging going on in a number of cases It’s easy to blame the government for everything. At least government spending in the construction sector could be linked to materials that are included in the CPI basket. How does government spending drive up the cost of a potato? It doesn’t.

  17. Do you really believe Sharma has spent all of his ammunition?
He has had a good deal of time to gather it.

Labour is taking itself down with the overpowering weight of its own hubris on so many fronts now.

  18. Hopefully I’ll still be around in 20-30 years because just as the mathematics of the 90% versus the 10% versus the 1% have never really added up, neither have the politics of personalities over policies.
We’re in a transitional phase. The sad thing is is that any sort of collective solidarity amongst the political and administrative classes is based on the firm foundation of solid bullshit that is personality politiks versus politics based on policy for the people
When the planet’s burning, people can’t get food (let alone their KFC or Makkers), or travel to visit family and kin, they’re not going to give a shit about neo-kindness or whether some 10%ers feelings have been hurt.

    • OnceWasTim If you’re still around in another couple of decades you could be locked away in some oubliette or be under permanent house arrest by Joanna Kidman for the naughty things you say, or I might do you myself for using public service jargon, cliches, and using common nouns as verbs even if you know who does too. Be warned.

  19. Sharmas’ claim was bullying and gaslighting in the way he was treated by Labour & parliamentary services, by way of avoiding all investigation and mediation and presuming his guilt. And Labour has gone on to admit they did exactly that, while arrogantly dismissing his claims, and pretending down talking “interventions” based on presumptions were ever an acceptable employment dispute process. Importantly it doesn’t even matter who was right or wrong in his office – two wrongs don’t make a right. He was never found at fault through any process, fair or otherwise.

        • Parliamentary Services investigated one claim out of 18 months worth. Labour investigated nothing. Labours “interventions” were based on the presumption of guilt. Where was the investigations in claims by staff against Sharma and by Sharma against staff?

  20. From what I can make of this situation is Dr Sharma has staffing issues, resulting in stress in his office. When he’s approached by the party whips and offered management training, along with being unable to personally take on new staff in the meantime until he’s up to scratch with staff issues, he turns rogue, accusing the whips of bullying.

If he was serious in having his perceived problems addressed appropriately, then why didn’t Dr Sharma appear at the meeting? This would have given him an opportunity to put his grievances to Caucus. But he decided to be a no show! Why was that?

For all it’s worth in my opinion, Labour acted quickly and appropriately, using one option by suspending Dr Sharma. The ball is in Dr Sharma’s court now.

    • Quite right Mary.
As I have suggested earlier I think he is an arrogant Doctor who is above everyone. He would’ve been best suited to the National party.

    • My guess, because he knows he’s being screwed over and his fight-back is not naive. He knows how this goes. Whether he is right or wrong, only those who have never taken a stand against the powerful could fail to understand the long-term machiavellian viciousness people in the kind of position really face.

Yes there are dishonest players who leverage victimhood. (So far I don’t see any sign of that particular game here) But there are many more who stand up to abuse and are destroyed. The idea that every person standing up to abuse is lying is every bit as ludicrous as a claim that such people are never lying.

    • You’re right there Mary. I think Sharma has stress/depression issues and needs some support. Hopefully they can sort it out before Xmas as being a doctor he could contribute a lot to Govt during this pandemic/influenza times.

    • mary-a Labour acted “Quickly” ? Quickly ? Looks like that may be another word which they have redefined, along with “ transparent” and “ kindness.”

  21. mary_a…what flavour was the Kool Aid? I hope the hook, line and sinker will not cause too much trouble either.

    • Bahahahahaha maggot seems you swalled the hook first, you may want to do some research instead of lazy media swallow.

  22. This almighty f$%k up has got chief gaslighter Mallards fingerprints all over it. And his protégé the bogan from New Plymouth. Mc Nutty.

Wait till his past catches up with him and his ventures in his ‘root-ute’ on the prowl in the rural areas outside of New Plymouth. The sheep were really scared of been alone in a paddock when he was out!

  23. My guess, because he knows he’s being screwed over and his fight-back is not naive.

  24. Dr Sharma is from Hamilton. Would you expect anything from a business “lefty” who was voted in by an area of the farming capital? He was a fluke and Labour are just feeling the how it is to be the big bully, with a majority in parliament. No minor parties to blame for fluffing around. Working class is working class, not businessman and advocate from Hamilton West. Efeso for Tamaki Makaurau he has all the party and union machines behind him but he will do Auckland proud. Who cares about cowtown NZ?

  25. His martyrdom is all he has now and it will corrode Jacinda’s kindness brand…hahaha like it’s not corroded looooooooong loooooong ago.

  26. “His martyrdom is all he has now and it will corrode Jacinda’s kindness brand.”: Jacinda’s “kindness brand” is nonsense and deserves corroding!!

  27. And what about all the Crisis too LINO hasnt dealt with.
Housing, Homelessness is growing again. Poverty is also to on the rise! The Health Crisis just keeps on keeping on, the identity woke terrorists are on the rise as well and a new/old one, sycohphantism for weak leadership by the most highly educated dumbest generation ever.

The sooner this nightmare caretaker governments reign of terror ends, the better for all of us. Bring back MMP!

    • And it gets worse! Bullying is rife inside Labour!

“Parliamentary Service chief executive Rafael Gonzalez-Montero confirmed the complaint was looked into last year.

He said the money in question was spent on travel for a Wellington-based staff member, who was visiting an MP’s electorate office “for the purpose of team building and assisting the wider team.”

“This is normal practice for many members when establishing a new team which has staff dispersed in different regions.”

Parliamentary Service determined the expenditure was for parliamentary business and therefore not in breach of the rules, Gonzalez-Montero said.

But Sharma told RNZ “they [Parliamentary Service] definitely did not investigate it.”

He also questioned why the Parliamentary Service informed the Labour Party about his complaint.

Sharma claimed he was bullied as a direct result.

“I was told by then Junior Whip Duncan Webb that what I did was wrong and I should be ashamed of myself…

“I was then told by Duncan Webb that an accusation like this could mean that the government could get into trouble, lose the election etc and such issues needed to be contained rather than discussed freely.”

Webb told RNZ the allegations were “unfounded and not accepted” but did not want to comment further.

A spokesperson for the Labour Party said it disputed the allegations made by Sharma.”

        • Queeny. If he truly believed that there’d been a misuse of funding, then he may have considered that he had a moral obligation to address this. He’s still a novice politician. Given a bit longer as a pollie, and he may have forgotten that moral obligations even exist. He may have been naive in not expecting Parliamentary Services to go chattering to the Labour Party about it, and that was quite an interesting cross-over of information, but they may all function like the cast of some taxpayer funded soap opera.

The pre-meeting meeting which he is perturbed about, is another common practice where political manoeuvring is occurring, and he simply may may not know that, but fiendish Anglican ladies sitting on church vestries have it well and truly sussed out – and it is also a tactic practised in school yard bullying, as most would know.
