  1. Alleged imposter doctor used fake documents to get off driving charge
    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/300660195/alleged-imposter-doctor-used-fake-documents-to-get-off-driving-charge

Great to know (Sarcasm) that no questions asked when an apparent ‘doctor’ appears to have have caused a road accident drove off and failed to check the victim… but gets off when fake documents are submitted to the courts.

“Krishnan was charged with operating a vehicle carelessly and one charge of failing to stop or ascertain injury in 2020. He was convicted and discharged by Judge Nevin Dawson.”

NZ courts are too gullible – too many crims go to OZ find it’s too hard to defraud, then come to NZ – where it seems to be very easy – you just make up a plausible story to the courts, submit fake docs and bingo, discharged without a conviction!

Fake docs and identities, now common and NZ courts and immigration seem to be very lenient on those doing it, thus encouraging more of that activity here and helping criminal activity!

Meanwhile posing as a fake doctor and lying to NZ courts seems to be ok, sounds like the media are now obsessed with parliamentary bullying….. MSM seem quite happy to wreck someones reputation with small scale bullying allegations or workplace txts as headlines (Santamaria), but pretending to be a Covid doctor and getting off traffic accidents with fake docs, doesn’t seem to create the same frenzy of worry – which is a concerning trend of faux outrage vs real outrage from NZ systems!

  2. Government woke attitude towards allowing anybody to identify as transgender seems to be having pretty alarming consequences to both sex offenders who now identify as transgender and the transgender community who now seem to be attracting sex offenders who often identify as ‘woman’ sex offenders.

Toko (Ashley) Shane Winter (identifies as transgender).

Can’t remember many transgender sex attacks before NZ’s woke made anybody identifying as transgender have special rights!

A sad day for woman rights with more sex offenders and crims in the mix who are now labelled ‘woman’.

    • Aye. Where are the safe spaces now, where men are men and women know their place to paraphrase some old saying. The not very funny thing is that mindless females have turned their backs on their own gender on the basis that males who are in need, need help most. It’s a twist on the old truism that men get more compassion than women from society.

So now we are to drop the long-term needy females and go for the newly fashionable charity of helping males who have big pwoblems. Perhaps we can have a tv show pitting two sides seeking help and the audience gets to decide who should be helped and who can wait. They called it reality television, back a bit, although it was largely scripted so actually unreality television, perhaps that was just a pilot for exploiting the increasingly dire problems that are so crowd-pulling.

  3. Who said this about the bourgeois epoch that makes it stand out above others?
    Q1. All fixed, fast-frozen relations,
with their train of ancient and venerable
prejudices and opinions are swept away,
all new-formed ones become antiquated before they can ossify.
All that is solid melts into air.

    and Q.2 “All that glisters is not gold;
Often have you heard that told:
Many a man his life has sold
    But my outside to behold:
    Gilded tombs do worms enfold
Had you been as wise as bold,
Your in limbs, in judgment old,
Your answer had not been in’scroll’d
Fare you well: your suit is cold.’

Cold, indeed, and labour lost: Then, farewell, heat and welcome, frost!” https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/379204-all-that-glisters-is-not-gold-often-have-you-heard

Q.1 Marx and Engels The Communist Manifesto
Q.2 William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice

We all have read some of the above, perhaps all. It’s time we reflected on what we read, on our personal lives, and on the society we have built – and urgently.
Word for the millenium – Reflection
And reflection has two meanings that are both relevant. There is the one you get looking into a mirror or still water, of yourself – often narcissistic (admiration of oneself, note the three ‘i’s! Meaningful word.)

The other meaning of Reflection is –
    Reflection: as in rumination.
This may be particularly appropriate for New Zealanders, the Cow Cockies supreme!
    from google : rumination noun
    1.
a deep or considered thought about something.
“philosophical ruminations about life and humanity”
the action or process of thinking deeply about something.
    modifier noun: rumination
“this film stuck out, demanding attention and rumination”
    2.
the action of chewing the cud.
    “cows slow down their rumination”

The cows have been helpless to prevent their conditions being degraded by callous industrial farm investors. Some feel sorry for the animals but unable to stop their practices. I ask now are we the same as cows? Not quite. But we might be regarded in future as having been cowards.

An overwhelming majority of us are standing aside doing little or nothing to stop the progress of annihilation similar to liquefaction smothering our ideals and our life-enhancing responsive good society? Remember that in our legal mater of Westminster, which prefers complex things to appear simple, a vital decision for the state requires only a simple majority. That is a magician’s trick for resolution of important matters. How easy to overturn a relatively good country!!
What percentage of UK voters voted for Brexit?
On 24 June 2016, the recorded result was that the UK voted to leave the European Union by 51.89% for Leave to 48.11% for Remain, a small margin of 3.78%.
This corresponded to 17,410,742 votes to leave and 16,141,241 to remain, a margin of 1,269,501 votes.

  4. While I am thinking on these lines I remember that there was a feeling that our old anthem God Save New Zealand by Thomas Bracken was not suitable for this proud, bold country.
As we considered ourselves Godzone we didn’t feel that we needed saving. What over-confidence and complacency.

We obviously have changed from being Gods-own to being a secular country where everything is owned by a few others. So a secular rallying song may be just the job. Listening to the Beatles I found what seems a good alternative.
    HELP!
    Help, I need somebody
    Help, not just anybody
Help, you know I need someone, help

When I was younger, so much younger than today
I never needed anybody’s help in any way
But now these days are gone, I’m not so self assured
Now I find I’ve changed my mind and opened up the doors

Help me if you can, I’m feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round
Help me, get my feet back on the ground
Won’t you please, please help me

And now my life has changed in oh so many ways
My independence seems to vanish in the haze
But every now and then I feel so insecure
I know that I just need you like I’ve never done before…

Help me if you can, I’m feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round
Help me, get my feet back on the ground
Won’t you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh

The inimitable Beatles. It should be sung at every protest march, and
if you can’t sing then it could be whistled.

  5. Q. I’ve received a text saying…”Kia ora
Your free second booster is due. If you haven’t already booked, please visit BookMyVaccine.nz or call 0800 28 29 26 (open 7 days, 8am to 8pm).

Getting a second booster is one of the best ways to protect yourself from getting very sick with COVID-19.

If you’ve tested positive for COVID-19 recently, please wait for 3 months before your next COVID-19 vaccination.

    Noho ora mai,
    Te Whatu Ora Health NZ”

Should I get one or what?

I haven’t had covid. I have had the first two shots.
The nanobots didn’t kick in and I didn’t get the free hook up to Weiwei WiFi.

So I’m starting to think this covid vaccination lark is a bit of a scam?

    Has anybody got some advice?

  6. Another attempted assassination of a person for democracy, good and moderation.

Salman Rushdie had started to believe his ‘life was normal again
    https://www.theguardian.com/books/2022/aug/13/salman-rushdie-had-started-to-believe-his-life-was-normal-again

“Asked what made him afraid now, Rushdie said: “In the past I would have said religious fanaticism. I no longer say that. The biggest danger facing us right now is that we lose our democracy. Since the supreme court abortion verdict I have been seriously concerned that the US won’t manage that. That the problems are irreparable and the country will break apart. Today’s greatest danger facing us is this kind of cryptofascism that we see in America and elsewhere.”

  7. Why do people with dishonesty convictions get waivers to live in NZ and then go on to victimise NZer’s and then clog up our jails and justice systems for years?

It is got to the point where professionals are leaving NZ as it’s a better quality of life than NZ’s bums on seats lottery immigration policy bringing in people who already have convictions and then supporting foreign crims more than NZ victims.

  8. I have said previously on a comment that NZ has to be careful about promising to do things well for a long time as our batteries tend to run out. I think you have struck the effects of
that Tane. You could fire off an email to them about their records not being up to date, and they might remember to renew the batteries!

Keep trying and try not to get Covid as there are only a small percentage in the motu who are trying to hold this Kiwi hot air balloon to the ground and it’s tugging away wanting to soar above our heads into space, the nearly new frontier; the old one is boring.

Question – Was the Christchurch City Council or controlling entity insured against contractor or repair or works failure in the case of Bromley? Was insurance not available?
What role does the Local Government NZ Authority got in overseeing good practice in NZ? Should they be doing more? Is Christchurch City Council enmeshed in complacency, cover-ups and bad practices as a culture looking after it’s own arse, or are they just naive and unlucky?

  10. Dr Bloomfield’s replacement. Dr Andrew Old has assumed the role of deputy director-general of health
    https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/472842/possibly-forever-new-covid-19-czar-settles-in-for-the-long-fight

In dealing with them, Old says he has learned lessons from the Public Health Commission which was closed down after just three years in operation. That was an independent body, which gave it more room to criticise policy-making but less protection from a vindictive sugar, alcohol and tobacco lobby.
“Being more integrated inside the Ministry of Health is helpful, rather than seeing us as a standalone entity,”
    Old said.

That doesn’t mean the agency will back down from a fight, if that’s what’s required. There’s no ideological quest here, but the agency will back its evidence-based policy.
“There is a need for whatever we do when we’re talking about, whether it’s food environments or alcohol or tobacco, is to be really solidly grounded in the evidence and in what we know. There’s a risk that, if you let ideology take over the argument, then you do open yourself up for more challenge,” he said.

That said, “there is a real, fundamental and probably irreconcilable difference between the need for certain companies to deliver profits to shareholders and the ideals and aspirations of pae ora and broader public health. And that’s just a reality we need to deal with.”

  11. Our Lab fainted during the Budget Speech and the limp lilies didn’t get round to something in rail that was wanted by the regions. According to this post. If you know differently please tell.
