You don’t need to have a vagina to be intellectually sickened by repelling Roe vs Wade

Weep for America brothers and sisters.

Weep for the Land of the Free,

Weep for the Home of the brave

Weep as these Right Wing Christian Scum molest women’s rights by stealing the autonomy of abortion from them.

In America, Ovaries are more regulated than Guns

What a tragedy for human rights. What a chilling terrible tragedy for Democracy.

Our deepest condolences to all rational citizens of the planet, this week is a dark one where the spite of religion blots the sun of reason from our sight. We must live in its shadow of gleeful  ignorance and it is an abomination.

Weep dear friends, this week the Christian Right won a major battle in their war against our collective human rights. Mourn your grief but plot our vengeance.

Our daughters, our mothers, our aunties, our lovers, our wife’s, our girlfriends, our friends, our sisters, our fellow citizens, all our people deserve far better than the damage of State sanctioned religion robbing 50% of our species from their inalienable right of autonomy as an individual.

As for NZ, Luxon is an evangelical prosperity Christian who believes he has his 7 properties because he has the blessings of Jesus. If his magical flying invisible wizard friend tells him to save the unborn babies, who do you think Luxon will listen to? His spiritual saviour Christ or the Press Gallery?

National and ACT don’t have to pass new laws to ban Abortion, they can simply implement their own amendments which I’ve listed here…

Make it harder to get approval for an Abortion.

Require those providing abortions to consider religious considerations to abortion.

Require those providing abortions to consider conservative Māori views on abortion.

Remove requirement that health practitioners who don’t want to support an abortion must tell the woman the details of another provider who will.

Making it illegal to not hire anti-abortion drs.

Making it illegal to terminate a pregnancy for genetic abnormalities.

Force women to tell the State how many abortions they have.

Banning abortion for under 16 year olds.

…they could also allow anti-abortionists to protest at the door rather than across the road.

The NZ Anti-abortion movement is already claiming the American victory has inspired them and there is a large chunk of sub 5% threshold Christian vote that gets lost each election. National and ACT can flirt with this banjo twanging redneck fuckwittery and give them amendment wins without actually having to ban abortion!

These Right Wing Christian Judges lied through their teeth…

…why on earth are you going to risk a political unknown evangelical Christian who leads a Party willing to pass this shit as ‘amendments’ and pretend that’s not a risk?

  1. Sorry Bomber by the time mid-2023 rolls around we will be in the middle of economic stagflation, our Health system will be collapsed, our major cities will become lawless and otherwise woke agenda items will be popping up in government and their feckless surrogates in the media. The last thing on their mind will be the teeny, tiny risk that Te Reo will be able to convince the wets in his caucus to place amendments that will be less attractive than the aftermath of a chicken vindaloo (Indian hot).

IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. PERIOD.

But what will happen is the continual dumpster fire of this government trashing New Zimbabwe, a continual bored PM that jumps at any chance to get on a plane and a cabinet bereft of ideas with an increasingly desperate Poor Man’s Gordon Brown who is seeing his moment in the sun vanish.

Go for the knife Grunter……..it’s your only chance of being PM.

  2. I am pro choice but it is not too hard for me to appreciate the opposite opinion without resorting to abuse. If it is OK to call out Lucon why not mention the hypocrisy of Mahuta who while trying to score points condemning R v W in America voted against decriminalization of abortion here in NZ

    • Trevor she voted for in the first reading and against in the next two. She also voted for safe zones for women seeking an abortion. It hardly sounds like she is not pro choice. Perhaps the legislation didn’t go far enough.

      • How much further could the legislation have gone? Bomber above refers to “conservative Maori values “

    • Trevor. I take it back! Apparently Mahuta was not in favour of the legislation. It seems very odd if you are basically against abortion on principle that you would have voted yes on any one of the readings (as she voted yes for the first)

  3. The average house wife/house husband voter who decides elections, is more concerned with how Luxon or Arden is going to help them keep up with the Joneses’ and help them achieve middle class status, rather than side issues.

  4. Let’s leave this extremist shit in America where it belongs.

Raising the IQ of Americans is a good thing right!?

But other than that. Who cares about Americans.

    • Tame / Wheel it would seem almost everyone on this site cares about Americans given the times America is mentioned. Almost every time in a derogatory manner.

      • Bob I was agreeing that we need to leave extreme views/polarisation in the US. Personally I like a lot of Americans. You just need to fly over the middle as sanity appears to be more prevalent on either coast.

I find Frank makes some bizzare comments and, not unlike you, criticises the current government on certain issues that if anything they have been guilty of being too like National on, but you cheer for National regardless.

  5. If Labour are reliant on Roe v Wade then they should be voted out, forthwith.

But to stay in power they could do something crazy, like mass state house builds, rent by to buy sort of thing, you know, really try to sort the housing crisis out. Maybe even treat health as a priority! I know, madness but hey, worth a go!

    • There’s a win win out of this. I have it on good authority that our health system is in for a massive influx of American health professionals. Our online vacancies have had an unbelievable hit from Americans wanting to come here because of the outcome of Wade v Roe and N.Z.s abortion laws and the global acceptance of our P.M.
Not speculating what 2023 will look like for you Frankie, just factual data coming from HR.

  6. To paraphrase: “The Labour government has dramatically deepened the divide between rich and poor in this country, it has failed to address the crises in housing, cost of living and the health system, it has .abandoned the principle of an independent foreign policy by signing up willy-nilly to the war plans of the United States, it has jettisoned the non-nuclear policy by joining a nuclear armed military alliance, it has done nothing to meet its obligations on climate change, but we should all vote it back into power because the alternative party might do something to discourage working class women from aborting their children, even though that alternative party insists it will not.”
Well, well, well. Good luck with that one.

    • So ask yourself this question Geoff, what will the alternative party do to address all those issues the government has failed to address? Awaiting your reply?

  7. The abortion ruling is one of many attacks back tracking on women’s rights around the world.

Womans body parts are now re-named as part of the new movement to destroy womans experience. Breastfeeding is now Chestfeeding so that men can do it too. Breastmilk is now Chestmilk. (Yep seriously). Yay for corporate milk companies and anti woman!!!

Since men are now ‘better woman’ in the dramatic and swift transgender movement that seems to be highjacked the world (no doubt helped by shadowy figures against woman), we have woman rights dramatically reduced such as right to abortion in the US and transgender taking over woman’s spaces, sports, jobs and financial situations. Business funding for ‘woman’ also allows transgender to partake woman’s grants and job opportunities. Corporates advertise non binary gender to virtue signal – likewise leaders who use the LGBTQ movement for misogyny and remove freedom of speech. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/speak-up-for-women-controversy-billboard-removed-mayor-apologises/CGUGDIAATDU3CCE56TUMCMJOQM/. Cancelling popular and successful woman’s authors have never been more authorised by authority. https://www.rebelnews.com/jk_rowling_not_invited_to_harry_potter_20th_anniversary_special https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/08/28/enid-blyton-has-been-cancelled/

Transgender should be a gender position in itself. Many cultures celebrate non binary, such as Faʻafafine in Samoan culture. There have always been non gendered toilets in NZ, called disabled toilets. It seems that somehow the transgender movement has been hijacked by powerful forces, to become a war on woman themselves.

Too many movements have shadowy groups behind their funding and attracting opportunistic drifters who have many issues in their lives https://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/news/crime/parliament-protest-donations-went-into-bank-account-of-man-with-history-of-unpaid-debt/ aka the anti vaxx movements.

What positive points many protest groups originally had, are increasingly being hijacked into individual gain by people who never believed in the movement in the first place.

Groups with deep pockets and anti democracy agendas, are making money, attracting opportunistic people and activating disillusioned and vulnerable people in their conspiracy theories and protests.

Misogyny is now allowed and very popular – with womans rights abandoned or pushed into other groups who then derail the movement into sub movements (race, gender). This destroys unity and push the woman’s movement backwards. Maori, Asian or what have you, they are all approx 50% woman so many more people gain by helping woman rights than having them stopped by transgender rights.

Look at all the open hatred and misogyny towards Jacinda in NZ, much of it pushed via social media and funded offshore.

Too many libertarians who have a lot of money, corporate and political connections to do whatever they want. Want to remove democracy and woman from the political system, buy nationality and bypass rules? No problem!

Donald Trump, Peter Thiel and the death of democracy
    https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/jul/21/peter-thiel-republican-convention-speech

“In a 2009 essay called The Education of a Libertarian, Thiel declared that capitalism and democracy had become incompatible. Since 1920, he argued, the creation of the welfare state and “the extension of the franchise to women” had made the American political system more responsive to more people – and therefore more hostile to capitalism. Capitalism is not “popular with the crowd”, Thiel observed, and this means that as democracy expands, the masses demand greater concessions from capitalists in the form of redistribution and regulation.”

Not just western billionaires at it,

China and Russia are joining forces to spread disinformation
    https://www.brookings.edu/techstream/china-and-russia-are-joining-forces-to-spread-disinformation/

“Though Russian and Chinese interests diverge in important ways, they are increasingly collaborating on the narratives being supplied to domestic audiences, feeding similar disinformation and propaganda to a citizenry increasingly cut off from the global web. In the aftermath of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Beijing has on the one hand avoided fully backing the incursion while on the other amplifying Kremlin propaganda on the issue. This week, for example, China’s foreign ministry repeated false Russian claims about the presence of U.S. biological weapons in Ukraine.”

    • The irony is that all the woke terminology about chest feeding etcetera to be “Inclusive” is endorsed by Woman and led by the Trans lobby. For such a small percent of the Population they sure seem to be getting a serious amount of traction, who’s financing them?
Talk about a circular firing squad.

    • Interesting you talk about Russian “Propaganda” when its them that are keeping the Western “ideals” out. Strangely enough it works.
Despite 80% of Russians against homosexuality, Surprise! its legal. Of course the totalitarian/ Communist “regime” does have a few stipulations, mainly no promoting the lifestyle to children under 16 in any form. Sounds draconian to me.
I’m off to study up on the BBCs 156 genders so I don’t “offend” any one/them/her/him/she/it/they and the other 149 genders, then I’m off to watch Drag hour story time filmed at a local US library with little children.

My point is that its about time we all stood up especially Woman to the Trans agenda that is slowly disempowering Woman and destroying society and family values.
I don’t object how you choose to live YOUR life, what I do object to is meeting some people and them saying almost immediately how they identify. Well Hi back! My names Brad and I’m Heterosexual. Aka Cis Normal. The majority don’t care.

  8. If Hunter Biden was a woman, would this be happening? If he had been scopolamined and impregnated at a frat party or young republicans’ do, it is unthinkable that daddy would ignore the outcomes.

  9. Once again all the old men are out pontificating about women’s issues, typically avoiding taking any responsibility for their own actions. Sod off old men.

    • But it’s not just about the woman: there is another sentient being involved as well, the baby. How heartless can you be?

      • straight, as heartless as the average religious nut bar who would consign future generations of children to abject poverty…and before you kick off look at the situation caused among certain NZ communities by a surfeit of god’s little angels.

      • As heartless as the gun toting, university/ school slaying giving, the right to bear arms giving, republicans.

  10. Where were the tears for women when we were shut down and had our meetings cancelled by trans rights activists; and had to go to the High Court to allow the meetings Togo ahead. Where were the howls of protests when SUFW had their billboard “women – noun adult human female” cancelled?

I feel for the women of America

    • @Anker because of the cultural-left’s intersectional caste system, trans-female > cis-female > cis-male.
We care if cis-men take away women’s rights, but not if trans activists (nothing to do with trans people) take away women’s rights.
It is refreshing that the media has once again realised how to use words like “woman” to refer to cis-women rather than euphemisms like “birthing person”.

  11. I honestly can’t comprehend anyone still supporting the current Government. Jacinda is fast becoming our Hillary Clinton – people in 2023 (or sooner if their is any justice) will vote for anything that isn’t her.

    • I don’t think she’s quite so personally financially corrupt as shillary…nitrium, don’t over egg the rhetorical pudding.

    • Nitrium?, more Delirium.
I can’t comprehend anyone still not supporting the current government blah, blah, blah!

  12. It’s not as though I would say I’m not Pro-choice. I am. But I believe that adoption should take precedence over abortion in most circumstances. Also, I believe that abortion laws in every country should be regulated, with limited scope.

    • ‘But I believe that adoption should take precedence over abortion in most circumstances. ‘
      Then you understand nothing Dan.
“He who hath not a uterus should shot the fucketh up”
      Fallopians13:13

  13. 60 million unborn children have been killed since RvW in the USA, mostly black I would guess
Certainly a win for the eugenics movement which Planned Parenthood stems from

    • It’s a filthy practice disguised as women’s liberation. When will it stop? Some statistics of the Covid-19 pandemic in the USA showed a higher demographic of African American people contracted the virus in low decile urban areas such as Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. African American people also remain under represented in the Senate and it just doesn’t sit well. After centuries of striving to make inroads in politics and business, why is it that racism is still voracious in some areas of some American States?

    • Here’s a quote from a recent New Yorker article on the reality of lack of access to safe pregnancy termination .
The war on women needs to fought . We need to stand up to the dickheads who perpetuate this bullshit.
How would all the blokes at the TDB feel if you were all forcibly sterilized for example because your DNA doesn’t meet the approval of those who call the shots?
Don’t EVER assume that you have the right to force your beliefs and opinions based on zero experience on women.
      Read and LEARN!

‘The clinic’s eighty-year-old doctor, Bernard Rosenfeld, had stayed away from the clinic that morning, worrying that even showing up after the decision came down might expose him to state prosecution. But he couldn’t stay away for long, and in the early afternoon arrived to console his staff. Like Linda, he remembered the old days of abortion all too well. He’d attended medical school in the late nineteen-sixties and early seventies, before Roe legalized abortion in 1973. “We were routinely trying to save women from septic abortion and hemorrhage,” he said, of his years at Boston City Hospital. “It was a disaster.” Rosenfeld then took an internship at Los Angeles County–U.S.C. Medical Center, and in 1975 became the primary whistle-blower on a case of forced sterilization inside the hospital. Hundreds of Latina women were asked to sign papers consenting to tubal ligation in the midst of labor. Some women weren’t even aware that they had been sterilized until a civil-rights lawyer who was working with Rosenfeld came knocking on their door.

Rosenfeld eventually joined the faculty at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, becoming a specialist in tubal reversal, and, in the early eighties, taking charge of the clinic in the center of town. The day before the Court decision, he, Ivy, and Sheila had sat in the plush leather armchairs where patients usually rest after surgical abortions, debating what would happen after the ruling. All three of them wondered where the law would end. Would it impact fertility treatments? Would I.V.F. still be legal? And what would the implications be for genetic research? Just as worrying to Rosenfeld was the fact that younger generations of doctors were shying away from the practice. For years, he had been unable to find a physician to replace him. “I never thought I would retire so early,” he said, flashing a bitter smile. He’d been feeling the pressure of state regulations to stop performing abortions for some time”

    • plunkett and the suffragettes not to mention 1/2 the planet, right and left parties all over subscribed to eugenics…so yeah…andy
