The cop worship in the mainstream media this morning is just so sickening

NEVER doubt the power of middle class Wellington or the Press Gallery to get the order their privilege demands.

Watching the woke on NZ Twitter who were screaming last week for Coster to bash Nazis and demanding he resign for not sending in the dogs and tear gas are all now praising him.

This is how shallow the NZ Left have become

Listening to the Left praise the Police abusing protestors IN THE SAME WAY the Right do after a protest shows how far we have drifted

I’ll never support the heavy hand of the State against protestors no matter their cause – for many middle class woke their property portfolios need the cops to protect their privileges.

The message from the NZ Left is clear – the smelly poor can go fuck themselves

  1. The protest may have set out with good intent but police did the right think yesterday and should be praised for their professional approach as only the rabble was left. In many other countries tare would be many more protestors in hospital or even in the morgue.

    • Why should we ever compare ourselves with other countries. we shouldn’t many of us have been on the streets fighting for things for years and years, and they are sacred,

    • Treesplease. It may be worse than trees on fire. They are allegedly camping in the carpark at Red Rocks on the south coast, and if they they go near the seal colony around there, it may not be very nice. Both there, and at Shelly Bay where some may now be, the little blue penguins nest, and they cross roads – the cop patrols know to watch out for them ( one hit one once) but out-of-towners mightn’t. Illegal fishing and paua gathering also go on from that Red Rocks area.

  2. FFS Martyn – the lawless rabble you call protesters were firing lethal weapons at the Police. Prior to that for three weeks they were illegally occupying and disturbing city people and functions with no regard for common decency or the rule of law. They were rioters almost from the start. That is a distinction and points to the lawless elements in society.
Another issue that no-one seems to have mentioned is the fact the Police were facing riot conditions with no safety gear, not even a hat or helmet. If I was responsible for Police H&S I would be suing the employer for that gross oversight.
Perhaps the Police wanted to appear non-threatening but made themselves vulnerable. It is unlikely to imagine some threats such as a fire extinguisher being thrown at a policeperson’s head (which didn’t happen but could have) or street pavers being used as deadly missiles.
Our police were made more vulnerable than they ever should have been.
I’m all for free speech and protest but this was not a legitimate protest. It was the Rule of Mob. Is that what is condoned?

  3. “Auckland councillor for the Manukau ward Efeso Collins said he was shocked to hear the idea of the use of the weapons being floated.
“I’m completely taken by surprise… I’m really anxious about it.
“Here we are [the police] have just announced that they are going to not use the Armed Response Teams any more.
“And now we are going out with no evidence base whatsoever with sponge [rounds].
Collins said he would raise the issue in a meeting with the Manakau district commander on Friday”.

What does Efeso think now of sponge bullets?

  4. of course there is cop adulation from the NZ media…the police are not enforcers of justice they are enforcers of property rights, that’s what they exist for and always have, they are the blue gang we employ so we personally don’t have to deal with the crims if you don’t understand that…well…..
yesterday for good or ill they did the job they’re designed to do.

    • The cops did a good job yesterday just as I anticipated. I only hope that the cops review the many videos available and hunt down the cowardly vermin who threw those missiles at the police. The police need high powered water hoses in these circumstances but after Mallard turned on the sprinklers to water the gardens, the Dirty Politics team via the right wing commentators will claim police brutality.
Once again the right wing Tory commentators are wrong again and Jacinda was right.

  5. Bomber – a learned man like yourself must have read 1984 and Animal Farm. The mainstream left’s approach to the protest/riots are straight out of those books. Orwell is as important as a literature scribe (if not more so) than Shakespeare.

There is no self reflection any more……

    • which particular lines from orwell are you thinking of…panzerboi…
      actual quotes appreciated….
or are you just throwing the name about in an attempt to appear to have kultur

  6. You do know the Mongrel Mob were present at the parliament protest along with some other gang members primarily there to provoke and aggravate the police and cause havoc. There was always going to be some element of violence once the protesters were pressured to leave. Jacinda talking to them initially would have made no difference as most wanted what couldn’t be delivered in the time frame they expected, March 1st. There was also other people behind the scenes paying for food etc and many had multiple agendas some had pie in the sky ideas.

  7. I accidentally ended up in the midst of the protestors on the first or second day they came to Wellington, and if someone told me it was going to devolve into the riot we ended up with I would have told them they were dreaming ,,,

So what went wrong for the Govt/state, and for the protest/protestors ??

Tiger Mountain has given the best descriptions and explanations of the Protests failings and shortcomings that I’ve read on this site ,,

,, to which I’d add antagonist provocations from mallard and co helped sour the mood and change the make-up of the crowd. …. a lot of protestors DID go home.

The first bad thing widely reported about the protestors was a car load of them throwing eggs at a schoolgirl, who was entering the supermarket which is about 300 meters up the road from parliament. This lawbreaking (assult/threatening behavior etc), took place on the most heavily camera covered and surveilled streets/blocks in NZ, as apart from Parliament many embassy’s and our own state security sectors are around there …

…. Despite the means to easily identify the car, I heard of no arrests for the first deplorable crime that the protestors came to be judged by in the court of public opinion.

This lack of action extended to the threatening behavior which increased as the days went by and the crowd both soured and changed ,,,, arresting the aggressive law breakers from the get go may have changed the whole course of this thing.

If yesterday was the ‘clean out and retake’ day by the police ,,, the next couple will be detailed examination of police and Parliament videos to identify law breakers ( facial recognition technology was being used before the riot), who will then be charged with the crimes they are identified as committing ,,,,,

,,, maybe they will even go back and arrest the egg throwers

  8. Granted, I’ve only seen pictures from local news sites, but I have to agree, our cops have done a fine job – relative – to how cops around the world have handled the general public, let alone protests. At least our cops still look like cops, that’s a big deal, in these times.

  9. There’s a lot of truth in Martyn’s opinion. The propertied class do hate poor people. The praise for police was OTT for a bunch of people simply doing their job. Must have really irked the cops to have so many cameras on them. It would have been a much worse outcome without the people’s surveillance.

    • The cops should have used tear gas and truncheons especially on those mongrels throwing the missiles. They should have had the flying squad rush in and neutralise/arrest. Those brown protesters throwing the missiles, fuelling the fires, burning the trees, are cowards with no mana and of no consequence and in the old times would have been thrown to the sharks. The cops will catch up with them and give them their just deserts.
Its interesting that the NATZACT raised the white flag and surrendered not only to covid but the anti labour and hate jacinda protesters.

      • You are a disgrace. Do yoiu ever think you might be in a protest one day where things don’t go quite right. Will it be okay to have tear gas and truncheons used on you?

        • If I did cowardly things like throwing paving stones/bricks and other missiles at police or anyone else then I would expect a truncheon on the head or a face full of tear gas, thrown to the ground, hand cuffed and a court appearance. Thats why if I was at a protest I wouldn’t throw dangerous missiles that could kill someone.

    • The propertied class do hate poor people

SO VERY VERY TRUE. HOW MANY TEACHERS IN AOTEAROA HAVE SECOND HOUSES RENTED OUT?

  10. Of course the MSM (main stream media) worship the Police — the Police would be foolish to belt a MSM personality, and the MSM would fund great lawyers to make sure that does not happen again…

  11. And terrorists, anarchists and rioters hate the police. The alt media would have you believe they are peaceful protesters. The alt Facebook, right wing you tubers are evidence in the parliament riot.

    • Bert, today MSM would have us all believe NZ popo are right n honerable without cameras on them. It’s “good” protesters have moved on. Not so much the popo though. Let’s not feed their egos. Jmo 🙂

    • And I hate them too, and I don’t fit into any of those categories. The cops think they are the law! I have heard them lie in court, I have seen them use unnecessary violence.

  12. Your reasoning puts signs of problems above the problems. I’m not going to support idiots produced by neglect above addressing neglect. Did these know-nothings have a solution? To pissing down their legs even?

I very much support the police. And despise the drongos from America’s fouling of Parliament.

  13. But the protester were not all poor working class people those with money did the runner before the shit hit the fan leaving the rest of their loyal group at parliament to front the polices advances to get rid of them. Its called doing the runner.
