Winstone not wearing a masks at the Wellington protest is absolutely disgusting and disappointing and his actions or lack of sends the wrong message to many NZers. Rod Jackson one of our very best Epidemiologist said people need to stop down playing Omicron as it is not mild it is highly contagious. He said the more people who get Omicron increases the risks of more people either getting very sick or dying. Jackson also said more people have died from Omicron in America than from the other variants. NZers need to listen to our experts they know what they are talking about they have worked hard and studied in these fields for many many years.

Omicron results including other Covid 19 strains – I’ve been keeping a note of the daily rise announced after 1 pm each day. Tomorrow I expect it to show at least 3,700 new cases for Thursday 24th which will show a numerical increase each 2 days from the original 454 on February 12 when I started counting. I’m not good at maths – don’t know if this is numerical or exponential etc. But it seems an 800% increase in 12 days. How high will we go?

This is my attempt to get my head around the figure for new daily cases. Another figure that I haven’t been watching is the cumulative active cases which is getting really high. Already many unvaccinated are taking up beds needed for those whose vaccinated immune responses have not been able to fight it off, and those already sick who the medical people wish to help but can’t because of the burden of Covid.
Yes, I now remember why I’m commenting. Why can’t I go on to The Standard after here and Bowalley? Cos they aren’t Left. The major ‘Lefty’ Blog’s customers don’t care my opinion is disallowed.
