RNZ starts the day with Auckland border exemption story claiming half of applications have not been processed. Then runs a story saying that is incorrect and it is only a small number. Is there such a thing as fact checking before broadcasting ‘news’ or is it NZ media policy to just run every utterance of random opinion with the proviso of ‘possibly’ or ‘someone says’? I think the latter. Welcome to the first day of spring.
Tv3 fact checks Collins claim that the only question ‘Ms Ardern’ is asked by the media is ‘how are you feeling today’. Untrue apparently (a lie?). Also notes that not one National MP has come to her defense although Ani O’Brien (JC office wallah and transphobic nutter) and ‘the national party’ have put out a statement of support for their increasingly erratic leader. ‘I’ll ask the questions’ probably best quote from Judith (first thought to my mind is wasn’t that the catch cry of the gestapo?) although, when asked what contact she had had with the Pasifika community (as national party Spokesperson on said community) Judith’s reply that ‘her husband is pasifika and I talk to him every day’ which must come a close 2nd. 3d place quote was probably ‘I don’t have covid so I don’t need a test’…is this the national party policy for Covid now for the entire population? National supporters must be getting pretty pissed off with her performance by now. When will the money men say enough is enough and pull the plug? Looking forward to her performance today in the house where I expect her questions to the PM will be exactly the same as yesterday, with exactly the same result. I expect the same from Seymour. ‘Shambles’. Do polls go into the minuses?
