Aotearoa referendum, false claims on blackouts and a Churchill portrait – is this Judith trying?

And this is a portrait of the National Party, it's called white on white in a snowfield.

Demanding a referendum on Aotearoa, blaming blackouts on banning gas that had nothing to do with the blackouts & getting into a fight about a Churchill portrait?

There’s chasing every car and then there’s Judith chasing every car, truck, bus, train, scooter, person, UFO!

None of this shit matters!

The vast majority of Kiwis under 50 know enough about our history to know injustices occurred against Maori and they see co-governance as a solution, not Maori radicals taking over. For mainly white men over 50 who call the PM ‘Cindy’, a referendum into the secret use of Aotearoa is the most important issue ever, but National already has all of them.

Judith’s claims that the 2018 oil and gas ban by Labour led to this weeks blackout is as factually true as the Earth being flat and of course the Greens removed Winston Churchill, he’s white and male and fought for them to enjoy the freedom to ungratefully denigrate him, how is that even remotely surprising?

I’m pretty sure shitting on white cis men is actually in the Greens constitution.

Clearly the National conference has spooked Judith and her desire to take a swing at every issue will leave her punch drunk by the election.

All this does is ensure ACT hit 20% come Election Day 2023.

  1. She reminds me of that classic movie with Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels…what was it called again…something with dumber…except that movie is funny. She is not.

  2. Okay, I want Judith to stay there for as long as it takes to declare the National Party as terminal. They/we deserve to see that day. I’ve got to laugh, when desperate Nats voted her in as leader they never once considered it would be like ridding NZ of rats. But there you go!

But part of me wants a government that understands the many problems facing this country and do something about it. We have neither in Labour at the moment, we have an advertising agency from the 50’s telling us how Marlboro filter cigarettes are great for expectant mums. Reality is always different.

We need an on to it opposition to hold this infuriating hopeless Labour government to task!

  3. If the Greens did remove a portrait of Churchill they should Google “The Nazi Party” & “NZ contribution to WWII” and then put it back.

    • Quick to prove the truth Godwin’s law then James. The Greens wanted a more appropriate piece of artwork in their space, so if the National Party want to celebrate Churchill in their part of the world, they should now be happy. Win – win.

  4. So if in the UMR Labour has dropped to within 7 of National and Act holds it number what will a non slanted poll say? Has the covid cult bubble been popped by Wokeborg?

    • So if NZ First gain 10 points, ACT drop 6, National drop 8 , Maori gain 4 and Labour stay the same, so many ifs Frwankie? So very woke of you.

The only hope is for National to stand in Epsom rather than being bent over.

  5. Judeath where are your policies your government contributed to the power issue we have today. I remember Max Bradford promising us cheaper power. He (Bradford) said competition through more providers would drive prices down, hence the reason for selling another one of our state owned power companies. And yet the market has not provided cheaper prices. Judeath we need housing, a Covid plan, a safe and effective immigration plan, better primary health care, more doctors, nurses, teachers, clinicians and the list goes on.
And while trying to fix all of the above not negatively impacting on our ageing infrastructure.

  6. I don’t like Churchill, he was a flawed character, but then show me any leader who isn’t

Moving the picture was a pathetic move given the historical importance of Churchill especially in WW2. Whitewash history and cleanse it of all people who may have done something wrong at some point?

It’s a bit like taking down pictures of Maori’s from days gone by because they were cannibals. Nope can’t see the Greens every advocating for that.

    Identity Politics really is tiresome

  7. To me moving Churchill is typical of the Greens opinion of older white men which shown by calling a senior parliment member a boomer and Marama Davidson speech in Chch after the massacre. Without men like him NZ would be talking Japanese.

    • Trevor, If a Green female is so triggered by the picture of a dead man of history, she may not be robust enough to be representing us in Parliament. If she is just shit-stirring, she needs to rethink her stance, and soon.

    • Trevor S. The Churchill picture-mover was a Green list MP who has been in Parliament 5 minutes, Elizabeth Kerekere. Kerekere is an LGBTQ activist, Maori, and not anorexic-looking. To what extent Kerekere personifies the Greens, I don’t know, but she may be more divisive than Davidson, and she frightens me.

  8. If we are serious about being on a war footing surely the first thing to do is to push all the trivia to one side until the crisis is over and leave all the nonsense about what we call ourselves (NZ or AO) for happier times.

    • Unfortunately throughout history our leaders have invented distractions when thinks are going bad . The Romans had the gladiators up against exotic animals we have parliament which is full of the odd and the exotic.

      • Exotic ? Get a grip, Trevor. The only exotic things to embellish Parliament have been Paula Bennett’s amazing shoes which cut her off at the ankles, Judith wearing gaudy jackets got cheap in the alleyways of Asia, and the man from Ohariu’s little bow ties and kiss curl – and they were only half-way to exotic. Whetu Tirakatene -Sullivan’s elegant sense of style and dress was the last time I can recall seeing exotic with class, in the New Zealand Parliament. Now the chaps have tantrums about ties and most of the women have big bums from sitting too long. The PM has the best earrings, most of the Green women have awful-looking hair, and the Nat men look like bald peanuts.

Trust me on this, Trev, I’m a meat-eater.

        • Yet on the plus side Bwidges looks like he’s returned to the evolution of man and we no longer see ACT leaders in Yellow suits( although appropriate)

  9. What National has become thanks to Sludge Judy is something of an equivalent to the McGillicuddy Serious Party. No-one can take what its MPs say as serious let alone intelligent.
Its very leader and everything she says and does results in people laughing at her. And that is probably what she didn’t want to happen. She hoped to be taken seriously like she thinks a God would take her seriously if she was filmed ‘praying’ in a church pew prior to the 2020 election. She may as well have done a Donald Trump and got a whole bunch of males laying hands over her in a ‘prayer like state’.
I would say it’s time for Winston Peters to make his thoughts on the removal of the Winston Churchill painting known. Considering the fact Winston Peters obtained his first name thanks to Winston Churchill.
But then lets remember Winston Peters was the bane of John Key to the point that at Cuppagate Key said to John Banks about the oldest population dying off and so less votes for Winston.
If there was a painting of Winston Peter hanging up in parliament and the Greens wanted it removed would Collins and co be making a huge fuss about it???!!!! I doubt it very much. And so their behaviour with this shows how much they are to resort to double standards when it suits them.
Looking at the fact Churchill believed in White Supremacy over others than the racially antagonistic attitude of National to date comes across that National whilst having a token Maori as a deputy leader have a problem on their hands.
With Judith Collins at the helm of the dysfunctional National Party they will always be on a course to oblivion.
