My goodness me there’s been a lot of anti-maori sentiment on this site over the past few weeks. It’s been wrapped up in just about every style, to try to mask the distinctive odour. Does democracy have a skin colour? I mean, conceptually, not the actual version we have in NZ. A couple days ago I watched Tame Iti espouse the actual foundations of democracy. When people talk about defending democracy, which version do they mean?

You seem to have outed yourself NV. I did engage with you on your reply to my post. I replied to you without abuse even after you implied I was ignorant. You asked ‘where is the dog whistle?’ I pointed out Judith’s facebook site with some of her supporters making comments that seemed to prove my point. You dismissed that as something you have no time for. Fair enough. I replied again as I’m always happy to engage but had no reply. I can assure you I am not ‘gutless’ and more than happy to engage if the respondent can manage to keep the personal abuse down. Obviously that is a problem for you. I don’t see myself as racist because I wouldn’t support parallel services. Some of those who accuse JC of being racist should make sure they are not making a racist assessment themselves. In other words JC or myself aren’t racist because we don’t agree with parallel services. That’s the only point I was trying to make. I don’t see any opposition of any government who questions the sitting government on anything as “dog whistling” Of course that opposition is trying to score points, but they also disagree with the sitting Government on that point. If you don’t like what they say you don’t vote for them. It’s pretty simple.
Looks like the majority don’t like what she has to say and won’t vote for her. You are right, it is that simple. Calling out racism is racist in itself because you should just ignore it as it? If I see a bunch of white fellas marching down my street yelling Blacks and Jews won’t replace us, that’s not something I will choose to ignore. Can I suggest changing your handle to ‘old view’.

Anguished Suicide Note Cites ‘Deluge of Doublethink’ In Driving Kind-Hearted Shrink to Despair
Moshe Yatom, a prominent Israeli psychiatrist who successfully cured the most extreme forms of mental illness throughout a distinguished career, was found dead at his home in Tel Aviv yesterday from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. A suicide note at his side explained that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been his patient for the last nine years, had “sucked the life right out of me.”
