  1. Nicola Willis is using scaremongering tactics and trying to raise hysteria around motels being used for housing the homeless. So where does she want us to put them? on the moon. This type of dirty low down divisive approach is typical of her and her parties endeavor to be relevant. It was her party that started the Motel housing policy and it was her party that choose to deny and ignored the housing dilemma in there entire nine years. Now if they had addressed the housing problem back then things might have been at least a little bit better. And to add to the matter her parties mass immigration and other housing policies like gentrification of state housing areas, selling of state houses and land to foreigners exacerbated the housing problem. I suggest she zips the lip until she comes up with some viable alternatives.

  3. Time we took on the Aussies deportation and immigration policies and deport those who commit jailable offences. This con man from OZ should not be able to come back to NZ ever! Tired of Neokindness to opportunists flocking to NZ from overseas and creating victims here.

  4. Another ‘quality’ migrant ripping off 1 million dollars of health money in NZ.

“Du Preez, a South African immigrant, had a less exciting job for the Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB). But, like the Red Sparrow, she also led a double life with dangerous consequences if caught.

Outwardly, she was a loud, colourful extrovert, obsessed with her weight but apparently empathetic and hard-working. Behind the bluster, she had another life – that of a fraudster, brazenly channelling money, desperately needed by the CDHB, to her own bank accounts.

By August 2018, the game was up when an internal audit led to a Deloitte investigation that revealed six years of deception and a deeply insecure woman whose bravado and manipulation hid a gambling and prescription drugs addiction and other mental health problems.

She was jailed for three years, but her name remained secret until she abandoned an appeal for permanent name suppression this week.”

  5. Frustration from worker turned down by orchards amid ongoing labour shortage

Age discrimination alive and well. This guy is a German migrant but not good enough for orchards ‘crying out’ for foreign workers’ apparently.

A job hunter in the South Island has expressed frustration after being turned down for numerous horticulture jobs despite the sector repeatedly saying how desperate it is for workers.

Harry Goetz, from Tuatapere in Southland, lost his job at the local sawmill last March when COVID-19 hit.

Since then he has been looking for work continuously, but without luck.

Since October, he has applied for a number of jobs on orchards in Central Otago only to be repeatedly told the positions had already been filled.

Now, as news of an ongoing labour shortage in the horticulture sector continues to make headlines, Goetz says he can’t understand why he can’t find work.

“I think it’s bullshit,” he told Newshub.

“You’ve just applied for a job and they say ‘no’ and then on TV you see that we need 2000 overseas workers.”

  6. Unbelievable.

“Auckland Anglican Bishop Ross Bay was put on the spot first by Commission counsel, Katherine Anderson.

She questioned him on a phone number on church posters people can call to report abuse.

”Are you confident that if you dialled that now that you would get the Diocesan manager?”

    “Yes,” replied the Bishop.

”I just want to test that, because would it surprise you to know that when we (the Commission) have dialled that number it goes through to a number unobtainable?”

Bay said that would surprise him.

Anderson that asked the Bishop to pull out his phone and call the number.

”The number you have dialled is not currently allocated to a phone. Please check the number and redial,” came the recorded message broadcast to the hearing room.

”I can only express that I am highly embarrassed by that,” said Bay.”
