NZ Election 2020: Judith Collins says Kiwis don’t want a Government dictator ‘who think tax is love’

Opposition leader Judith Collins is urging supporters to vote National if they want to be strategic and avoid a “far-left government”.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Collins said New Zealanders do not want to be governed “by people who think tax is love”.

…if it was true that Kiwi’s didn’t want a Government who think tax is love, then why do the opinion polls show they do?

Labour’s 47 + Greens 7 = 54

National’s 33+8 = 41

Clearly more Kiwis want a Government by people who think tax is love than they want a Government by people who think tax is theft.

Judith counts as badly as Paul Goldsmith does .

  1. The way National are going ACT could put a further hole in the National Party votes, evidently National are bleeding votes to ACT and Seymour is growing in confidence by the day.

  2. And now Johnathon Young has had to admit his claim that Labour’s oil exploration policies had led to steady increases in electricity prices was a load of bunkum.
For a party that continually claims to be the best manager of the economy – their repeated mistakes over figures is hilarious.
Why would anyone trust National in the treasury benches when they can’t even count properly?

  3. CIRCUIT BREAKERS ON. WE HAVE SEPARATION. I’VE GOT A BLOWOUT. PITCH IS OUT. I CAN’T HOLD ALTITUDE. EMERGENCY. I CAN’T HOLD IT. SHE’S BREAKING UP. SHE’S BREAKING UP!
    …Goldsmith, a man barely alive.
…Gentleman, we can rebuild him, we have the technology.
…We have the capability to make the world’s first, eight billion dollar man.
…And Goldsmith will be that man.
$4.3 billion bionic legs. $88 million bionic eyes. $3.8 billion bionic arms.
But due to these fiscal holes, there were no funds left for his brain, so we swapped it out with a lab rat.
Not ideal, but we can’t let perfection, be the enemy of the good.
He’s even equipped with incompetent fool mode, which can activate at astonishing speed.
…Goldsmith is now better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster, and residing in a sewer at the back of his property, munching on native birds.

  4. PAUL LEADSMITH

    Because gold he ain’t .

Nationals whole brand has been based on sound fiscal management and the woeful alternative budget had more monetary holes than Swiss cheese reducing confidence even with hardened National voters . Many National voters ,because of the general disorganisation of a once great party, are now protest voting ,party vote , Act ,in significant numbers.

Yes ,Collins is gaining traction after two credible debate performances however lets not forget she is still surrounded by duds. Goldsmith’s $ 8 Billion “rounding errors “, gone from the billboards Gerry ,Ecocide Nick Smith and the rest of the tired old planet wrecking crew are a bit like week old bread .

Contrast Labours top team with Jacinda , Grant Robertson ,Chris Hipkins and Megan Woods we see a relatively competent , cohesive unit, functioning very well in a major world emergency.

Taking one step back from the Collins vs Adern presidential campaign focus , Judiths team is not performing at the same level she is , and Labours is. That’s the point .

Nationals yacht , has kelp on the keel , and the public are aware of this .

My pick is that Collins will lift National slightly over the next 2 weeks , as she pulls some Party Votes back to National from Act/NZF , but the overall National/Act total vote will stay around the same.

Now around N 30/A 8 , to approx N 34/ A 6 by the next poll .That’s still considerably behind the Labour /Green total as Martyn correctly points out .

Labour has rounded the mark and is heading for the line , both National’s and Labour’s Skippers are doing a good job but the Labour / Greens team seem to have the faster boat and importantly at this stage , the better crew .
