MEDIA WATCH: The Helen White interview is very funny

Finn Hogan ain’t no slouch.

As Newshub’s most handsome and youthful haircut, he has the joy of grilling candidates for their online content and he interviewed Labour candidate for Auckland Central, Helen White in a gloriously awkward interview.

Helen’s main beef seems to be why she has to bother explaining how much better than Chloe she is.

Watching her try and justify her Chloe slam is very Ok Karen.

It’s that odd situation where the more you see of a candidate, the less you like them.

  1. Yes, I saw the interview. I was expecting that she would be pretty good, based on her background and experience. Alas that turned out to not be the case. The more I saw, the more surprised I was.

  2. Thanks @Martyn. That’s 5 minutes I’ll never get back plus emotional capital from the pity department expenditure budget I’ve got to justify to my manager.
I might have to put it down to a toilet break

  3. You are showing your middle class privilege. If you spent any time on this you might ask working class but collar unions about why they are supporting Helen.

  4. Chloe Swarbrick’s unstoppable. You wait and see?
She’s going to be our prime minister one day once all the fuckwits are sipping custard while wearing baggy slippers. And us old boomers should pray to Christ it’s sooner rather than later.
helen white’s that bump in the Night. That kind of deep shade of dark before the dawn. That kind of ” Did you hear that…? Wha’ was that…? Mus’ be a possum on the roof again…. ( Snoooooooooooororrr. )
